the real tragedy of this video is that the whole concert was filmed then the BBC got hold of it and did a very rough edit of it chopping songs up right left and centre to reduce it to 45 mins or so to fit their schedule and then just lost the master! it was a fantastic concert which i attended and it is so sad to see this great performance in fragments now and hobbled together in this way. so thanks a lot BBC!

Best singer in Rainbow after Dio. No doubt about it. He also was the best singer which both Alcatrazz and Michael Schenker Group ever had, too. Amazing pipes. And I don't give a feckaroo about Graham Bonnet's hairstyle either. That was just a thing Blackmore came-up with to have a reason to sack bonnet.
I contacted Polydor and they cannot trace the master :-( If you can grab a bootleg of the full concert in audio it's worth it...even though it's only a crowd recording.
Is there a full version of a live version of this by Rainbow? The Graham Bonnet Band's version 30 years later is great but I would like to find a video of an original.
The funny thing is Bonnet and drummer Cozy(RIP) left to join another and perhaps the greatest guitar player ever...ala Michael Schenker....this guy turned down Aerosmith, Ozzy, Rush, Kiss, Whitesnakes and DP.

The BBC sucked at keeping stuff. The fact there are so many lost Doctor Who episodes being the worst.

Michael Schenker is a great guitarist but not the greatest. Ritchie Blackmore is a guitar god and Michael Schenker is his disciple
Ive always preferred bonnet.
Never liked the whole sword n sorcery schtick with dio. Only listened to it for richies guitar work.
