    Thanks John,
I've been meaning to do this for years since the Ford 5-speed I'm using has a much slower cable. I did this myself yesterday using stakes planted right beside the street.
I came up with an even 22 turns. Since it can be done alone you can fire all those guys who talked over your video : ) (except the cameraman)

    Hi John,
Following your advice I sent my speedometer to Nisonger's with my result, which was 22 turns over 1/50th mile.
Back on Tuesday I get a call from their tech saying that they want results for 1/100th of a mile. Well, it's going to be 11 turns, right ? It was indeed 11 turns. I think he was yanking my chain : )

I’ve wanted an MGA for a while. However, I’ve come to the conclusion I really shouldn’t own any vintage automobile… is there anything on vintage cars that doesn’t require fiddling?

Great idea - but painful to watch in imperial measurements!

Yep I'm trying to do it for an Australian car ATM but still most informative video I've found yet

So painful. 1000metres = 1kM. 1 metre =100 milli metres. Use metric reading then convert to crazy imperial reading. Use an online metric / imperial converter.

John, your math is needlessly complicated. You had 26 turns plus 200 degrees in 1/50 mile. So just multiply by 50 and get 1300 plus 10000 degrees or 1300 plus 28 = 1328.

Nice piece. Tell the complainers that they can watch any segment of the video as many times as they want if they miss something.. Whiners!
