These are good insights. There are many ways of deciding when and why to enter on oil but there can be some amazingly clear entries depending on what strategy is used.

It seems fibos and pivots points are as efficient on Brent as they are on indexes and stocks ! The quite long uptrends / downtrends are also very rewarding !, moving averages are quite helping tools too...

50% of your wallet? thats too far even for a demo account. Practice trades on the actual amount you would put in with your own real money. if your budget or capital is going to be 1000 then practice on a 1000 demo account and avoid trading big demo accounts of 50k 100k. being realistic is your first priority in this game, its a business and not gambling. Trade safe!

I only trade Brent Crude and NEVER use a stop loss.....Yeah, you need to know what you are doing and know this particular market but I have never had a problem especially when you use a trailing stop loss. Great video on oil....

I don’t trade options it’s to complicated for me. If I have $8-10,000 in my brokerage account do I have sufficient amount of capital to get started in oil trading?

Hi, can someone please explain how is the margin for trading one lot of oil calculated? So the formula says instrument value * 1000 (as there are 1000 barrels traded in a standard contract) * deposit rate - 10%. So to take an example for an oil price of 40$ say, then the margin equals 40*1000*0.1 = 4000$ no?
Here comes the trick, I have a demo account trying to learn to trade oil, and when I open a position, the margin is only something like 300$. I checked into the info and the nominal value of one lot is indeed instrument value * 1000.. anyone any help on this, please?
