Ahaha, yepp, you must try indonesian foods!! ^^
We have lots kind of cuisines, rather than just mie goreng (fried noodle) or nasi goreng (fried rice) or satay (they're very common and not very special tbh) you should try other traditional cuisines.
If you mind, you can research it first hahaha so you won't dissapointed because just try a common foods😂😂
Ps. I'm sorry for my bad grammar 😂

Lots of Indonesian eat nasi goreng with krupuk (chips) like u did, some with pilus, pangsit etc. Glad that u enjoyed Indonesian foods. If u like spicy food, u should try "ayam geprek", " Seblak jeletot" Or "bakso mercon". If u like tasty food u should try " masakan padang" at padang restaurant. Thanks for making this vid. Loves from Indonesia🇮🇩

Indonesia has various types of fried rice.
Usually only very simple fried rice is sold on the side of the road which is eaten with crackers.
Fried rice sold in restaurants is not given crackers.

krupuk and sambal for most indonesian are like kimchi for korean, we have it almost with every food (soupy or fried) soto for example, Soto; Soto Ayam or Soto Betawi , served with different kind of fritters (krupuk); Krupuk Udang (shrimp fritter) for Soto ayam and Emping (made of some kind of bean) for Soto betawi. Gado - gado and Pecel are also served with different kind of fritters; Gado - gado served with Krupuk udang and Emping, Pecel served with peyek (made of mix of flour and peanut/soy bean); I hope next time you can try the food i mentioned; especially Soto

for the snack, with nasi goreng, you dont necessarily have to eat it, but its always going to be there. usually, indonesians really love to eat their foods with something crunchy. usually if its fried noodles, fried rice, different soups, there will always be something crunchy as a side snack. it can be raw vegetables or pickled/fermented
vegetables (just like how koreans always have a certain kimchi with their meal), or different types of chips.
the chip that you guys ate is called 'krupuk' in the javanese language or 'kerupuk' in indonesian. usually smaller chips are called 'kripik' in the javanese language or 'keripik' in indonesian. they are a type of rice cracker and there can be the plain one like those, or ones flavoured with different things, most commonly shrimp.
let me also say that, korean food is also very familiar to us. maybe the only difference is the type of ingredients available and so indonesian food has this very southeast asian flavour. the first time i tried korean food, i really felt at home like i was back at my mom's house and she cooked for me, while in reality, i was stuffing my face with gukbap and kimchi while drinking milkis in a korean restaurant in california XD

Commonly we eat nasi goreng with snacks (a.k.a Kerupuk) not like that.
We usually eat nasi goreng first in one spoon then bite the Kerupuk. Thats the way we eat nasi goreng with kerupuk.
Kerupuk commonly already prepare in the tables. If we like to eat with Kerupuk, we just take it and bite it.

Cobain.

Ah,.. i thought you were visiting Indonesia, so it's Indonesian restaurant in Korea after all,
I think that food taste like Korean foods because the chief make it more suitable to Korean customers, some foods might taste different with the original one in Indonesia.
If you visit Indonesia, you will realize that a lot of Indonesian foods are more spicy, and it's a different taste of spiciness than Korean has,

When the girl said, "surely indonesians love Korean food," she said, "it's almost like Korean food" in reality did not mix with Korean culture in the past, the point was that all the foods belonged to the native indonesians that had been preprogrammed for food since our predecessors. I don't hate it. I'm just pointing out the obvious☺✌🏻

I can't eat nasi goreng without the pickles. Next time, try Tempe Penyet. When it comes to Indonesia, usually people went for Rendang or Nasi Goreng, but try Tempe Penyet anyway
