I've been using the Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 44mm for over a month, and I've been really impressed with it. It sits close to the top when it comes to premium fully-fledged smartwatches. Should you buy it over the beefier Galaxy Watch Ultra? Watch my review and find out.
Hey thanks a lot mate, I appreciate that. The Galaxy Watch 7 definitely has a lot to offer. Although you won't get battery life as good as the Honor Watch you have. I would say go for the 44mm GW7
Hey thanks mate! I appreciate that. It's a great watch for sure and I've been super happy with it overall. Hope you enjoy yours and let me know your thoughts when you use it for a few days 😁
Thanks you very much, I appreciate you. I'm using the M/L bands, I will have to get some exact wrist measurements and get back to you. But the bands fit nicely and feel very good too. The no-gap straps are the way to go with this watch in my opinion.
@@brett3017 thanks a lot mate! I was in the same dilemma but without any insane discounts or trade in offers I couldn't justify double the price for the Ultra. I'm absolutely loving the 7 44mm so far. Hope you like it too.
Hey mate! So I keep all features on, constant heart rate tracking, stress tracking, AOD and WiFi on and I get approximately 34 hours with light to medium use. If you go heavy on the workouts and GPS tracking then expect a little less.
Hey mate. So far I've been quite happy with the battery life when using the Analogue Dashboard and Analogue Utility watch faces. I change to the black backgrounds and it's great!
I have the same 44mm green one. However, my battery is very inconsistant. With AOD I was getting about 12-16 hours of battery and with it off 20-30 hours. Sometimes I will get 30 hours with AOD off and other times it will be 12 hours and it will be down to 10%. Any ideas why such flunctuations in my watch's battery life? I am using all the features including heart rate, Oxygen, steps, Stress, etc. I am trying not to charge it more than once a day.
Hello. Wow that's quite a big jump in battery numbers. Are there any specific apps you are using or have installed that run in the background and drain a lot of battery? I know when I had installed the Walkie Talkie app it used to drain a lot of battery in the back. Also having the Google Assistant listening for your Hey Google command used a lot of battery in the background so I turned that command off and only activate it with the button when I want to use it. Another possible factor could be the type of AOD screen you use, some take a lot more power than others so maybe play around with a few different ones. And if you have a Samsung phone then try turning off then frequent syncing option in the step counter settings on Samsung Health.
I really thought of getting one when it launched as an upgrade to my watch 4 but I held off since i felt it would suffer from the same disgusting looking paint chips on the body. How is the durability like after a month? Paint chipping? Scratches on screen?
@@hypno0784 Hey mate, woops sorry to hear about the Watch 4. So far in my month plus of usage I haven't had any paint chipping and the sapphire crystal screen is really durable. I accidently grazed it against a wall last week and the screen is as good as new. I'd say give it a shot 😁
When checking on my other phone that isn't a Samsung, the option doesn't show up to disable frequent syncing, so it might be specific to Samsung phones.
That's a shame mate might be a defect with yours. So far (touch wood) I've had a great experience with mine, battery life for me with always on display is approx a day and a half which is good. Are you using the 40mm or 44mm?
@@Telor1998 the fabric bands are pretty cool too, I wish they had some no-gap options in the fabric style though. What battery life are you getting on yours on average?
Omg. You were not happy with performance of the GW5 pro? Are you kidding? What was wrong with it? I use my GW5 pro and see no lags at all, either in sports or eveng using google maps.
Performance was ok on the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, there were times I would encounter stutters and bits of lag when navigating the UI which again wasn't a huge deal but take away a little from the experience. I had used a Apple Watch SE for a few weeks and that watch performed so well so I'm happy to see the Galaxy Watch 7 has performance similar to an Apple watch now. I still love my Watch 5 Pro though, it's a tank and has served me well 😁
@@zixednatz Hey thanks a lot mate, I'm loving the patina for sure. I ordered it from Amazon. Search for Samsung No-Gap Eco Leather watch strap. It's an official Samsung strap so check it out.
@@JaiTalksTech isn't that eco-leather, meaning it's not animal, but still it patinas. Amazing, i thought eco leathers do not patina. Did you do something special with it, or just wear it normally?
Hey mate, yes I'm assuming the eco part mean it's a synthetic leather, if it is then it naturally patina's like how you have seen it in the videos. I've just been wearing it day to day as usual, I've not done anything else to it. I think it's looks fantastic with age 😁
I just upgraded from my Active Watch 2. Still worked fine except I noticed my EKG was not working anymore. Sensor must have gone bad. Still setting up the Watch 7 and I got it from Samsung for $220 with the trade in on my Active 2 and was able to pick it up at my local Best Buy here in the US. Display is nice and I have to set it up a little more. I put "Alexa" on the watch 7 and it works great. Only problem is when Alexa responds on my watch the volume is low. There is no setting for the volume on the watch with the Alexa App, and none of the volume control options on the watch increase the volume. Something I have to figure out. My biggest gripe about the Watch 7......... I live in the US. I thought for sure it would have the Blood Pressure on it. It does not in the US Version. 4 years ago when I got my Active 2 they talked about the 3 will have Blood Pressure. Now we are on the Watch 7 and still no Blood Pressure on the watch 7. I wish I knew that before I got the Watch 7. Just disappointed but not enough to keep me from buying the Watch 7. The display is crisp and clear, battery is not as bad as some reviews said it would be, and I'm happy so far. I know there is a work around to install BP on the US Version, but I'm not going to "Hack" a new watch. Overall, I'm happy I did the upgrade.
Hello, that seems like a nice upgrade from the Active 2, glad you are enjoying the watch. I used the workaround last week to get the ECG and Blood Pressure to work on my watch as it's not available in my region, and it's been working well. Let me know if you want me to send you the tutorial link I used. Enjoy the new watch!

How accurate is step count in Galaxy Watch 7?
I haven't done any scientific tests but it seems to be pretty good, as I walk and count the steps the counter also changes quite accurately
It's okay..
perfect video 🎉 the call quality is very good with wstch7
Thank you so much mate. Yes call quality is decent, when the room is quiet then it's ok, but it's definitely nice to have the feature.
How about the Bluetooth one?
