Great reaction as always Eric. For Tommy this was a special treat as the guitar he's playing on was Gary Moore's guitar that he managed to buy not so long ago. Gary was maybe the greatest influence for Tommy. I don't know about Chris, but I guess growing up with Tommy playing music, he might have had Gary as an influence as well.
Tommy's and Chris' truly brilliant performance aside, it's always such a pleasure listening to you. amazing reaction as always! Yes, the original song was released 1984 and the event that inspired the song (Soviet Union shooting down Korean Airlines flight 007) happened on September 1st 1983. Tommy released his cover on 40th anniversary of the event, though he said it wasn't planned. He knew the anniversary was near, but he had planned to do this cover earlier in the year but then he had to postpone it (maybe because he got the chance to buy Gary Moore's original guitar and decided to record it with his guitar- just my guess). Tommy did a separate video before releasing this cover where he talks about how he bought Gary's guitar
Tommy was recently able to purchase Gary Moore's guitar. He did a video on it and how much it meant to him to have it. I think no better person should be the caretaker of it. LOVED your reaction and info offered. Thanks!
Yeah this cover is just an absolute banger 🙌 and the fact he plays with the great man Mr Moore's own guitar it just adds something special to it 👌 the power in Tommy and Chris's voices are phenomenal and the harmonisation between them is amazing 👏 and yes Tommy owns the guitar (sooooo jealous 😅) have to say the tribute Tommy dose when he covers Gary Moore is beyond amazing especially his covers of "empty rooms" and the "loner" are just phenomenal 👌 🙌 thanks for another fantastic reaction 🙌 have a fantastic one my friend stay safe take care all the very best from Scotland to you 👍 👊
I'm a big fan of Gary Moore. Had all his albums back in the day. Saw him live in July of 1983, it was a Gary Moore/Krokus co-headlining show, each band playing for 90 minutes. I believe the historical incident in the song 'Murder In The Skies' happened at the end of 1983, so I saw Gary Moore before this song was written.
Speaking of Chris David (Davidsson)…….not only is he Tommy’s friend and bass player in Majestica, he has his own band as well called Wizdoom. Check out the song “Way of the Lost” by Wizdoom. He has a phenomenal voice!!!!
I very like your reactions...not any standard phrases. Well formulated thoughts👍Tommy and Chris is very talented guys...and together it be magic🤟I would love to hear a reaction from you on Tommys stunning cover of "She`s gone" by Steelheart. Cheers from Sweden 🍻☃
Somewhere in heaven Gary is looking down and smiling. What a fantastic cover and tribute!❤ Ps, great deconstruct Eric. I was smiling ear to ear just like you.
OK, I'm going to throw his cover of "Over the Hills and Far Away" at you! LZ song is "The Crunge"! I'm a BIG LZ fan but ...now Tommy...How do we get him to do a LZ cover? ❤
He probably needs permission from Page for that. I'm pretty sure he owns everything now, which is why you don't see tributes any more or covers. They tightened up a few years ago. But that's just my thoughts on it. Cheers, Eric

Gary was Tommy's childhood hero, inspiring him to pick up a guitar at age 9. His GM covers are outstanding!

The white PRS guitar was Gary Moore's actual guitar.
Play guitar in Sabaton. In to his YT. Tommy Johansson and listen. Just enjoy. The winner takes it all. LIsten
