    Not the most practical of workwear; but these Queen's horses and men both ooze dignity, magnificence and swagger. Congratulations to all concerned - and thank you for sharing.

      Well, the boot tops DO serve a practical purpose in battle in the Napoleonic era...those wings fold back to protect the knees from sabre cuts.

    Many people think these soldiers are just for show. How wrong they are. They are battle hardened and have served Queen with honours.

    • @idot3331
      @idot3331 2 года назад

      In this situation they're basically just there for show. It's all ceremonial and symbolic. They're not exactly going to charge a terrorist with their horse in the event of an attack, that's what the armed police are there for.

    • @carlhicksjr8401
      @carlhicksjr8401 2 года назад +9

      You **really** don't want those troopers to have to use that saber on you.
      Since the UK's pull out from Afghanistan was a year or so before the US', I suspect that few of the troopers are 'battle-hardened'. Their NCO leadership almost certainly is, however.
      Besides, you don't want pissed off combat veterans with PTSD on public duties anyway. Scares the children 😁
      [please note that a] I'm a combat veteran myself and b] I mean that mostly in good-natured jest]

    I was privileged to serve in The Royal Australian Regiment, The Regiment of Her Royal Highness Queen Elizabeth II. “God save the King”. Queen Elizabeth II has provoked a reset hopefully of respect, love of GOD, LOYALTY, HUMAN DIGNITY, UNITY OF A FREE Sovereign Country. I have never witnessed a calmness, manners and respect for all people of the United Kingdom and the British Commonwealth. The tradition, reenactment of regal ceremonies is so thing to behold. If only our society could emulate the formality of the Pom’s! The previous countries that belonged to the Empire are doing very, thank you very much. The discipline of the British Services ceremonial parades by the Royal Navy, Army and Airforce. Are second to none. And three hearty cheers for Her Majesty the Queen.

      I admired the Queen for the job she did and how she went about doing it .. but to me .. Australia should now be moving to become a Republic. The problem is, we need to be very careful about the model we choose and ensure that the appropriate checks & balances and safeguards are legislated.
      Australia has been standing on its own two feet since 1905 and it's about time we left home!!
      That doesn't mean we have to break our ties with the family though.

    As a proud cavalry trooper myself, I always delight in the training and discipline of the horses themselves. They know where to be, the pace to get there at, and the interval they should be in when they stop. It's almost as if the riders are superfluous.
    Mind you, I know very little about how to ride or care for a horse. My spot at Fiddler's Green will be in the tank park around back, where I'll get to break tank track for eternity. Cuz, you know, that'll be fun... 😁

      Yes, I like being a cavalry trooper, but there are several line infantry units that I wouldn't throw shade at. The 27th 'Wolfhounds' Infantry, for example, or the 7th Marine Infantry. These are units with proud histories going back 100 years or more, that average everyday people made famous by doing incredible things.

    Maybe I'm missing something but the police officer on the right side of the screen should have been acting a bit more appropriate.

    こんにちは、兵隊さんの交代の時には、制服がきちんと着られているか帽子は、きちんと被れているか一つ一つ点検するって凄いですね、兵隊さんの制服の着用の乱れは、心の乱れに通じますからね、先程の並ぶ為の行進で前に出すぎた為のチェックだったのでしょうか??お疲れ様です。お城の警備頑張って下さいね。

    I'm not a royalist myself, but Elizabeth was born into duty and was a lovely lady, totally majestic. She was civilisation itself.
    Best monarch since her lovely father and Henry the 5th in my own personal opinion. Pity her government's didn't match her wisdom and grace. That said ,a monarch shouldn't allow there subjects to be homeless and hungry especially in 2022!! Only yards away from the palace people are living in cardboard boxes and London has more food banks than most city's on earth!!!
    So come on cough abit of cash up !!!
    You never know one of them poor kids living under cardboard could be an asset and maybe could find a cure for cancer or something? What a sad waste of peoples it is !!!
    In the meantime her peado son gets a allowance of us tax payers of £250,000 a year, he never sweats though and loves his 🍕 pizza.

    Surely they could have picked some a bit taller than the one The end but they don't look as good as the foot guards.

    複雑なご事情は、抜き、です。シンプルにこの動画像からの印象。
    登場人物(茶色ぽい、背高の尻尾のある役員含めて)、とてもファミリー。
    コントか何かのショートムービーかしら?とかも、思ってしまうくらい。
    複数人勢揃いでご登場の時の、背高の尻尾の2人の無言の。。。。目配せ。何をか言わんや。
    しかも、終わりには、ナデナデして貰えなかった背高の尻尾の1人??気のせいでしょうか、物凄いうなだれよう、絶望してなかったですよね??
    大家族って、こういう時、ありそうなイメージです。優しいけれど厳しいからこそ、だと。グレートマザーが。
