In the tradition of the Montreal indie scene, the members of this band are so generously giving of their talents that one can't help but wonder if this is one of the happiest places in North America.
I just heard this yesterday on Chom in montreal and had to find out who they were. This is an awesome song! It almost has an African rhythm(at least to me).
Cette toune la viens chercher quelque chose de primitif en moi et je ressens un feeling de lache mon stress. Fantastique This song releases something a little primitive in me and I feel a release of all my stresses. Fantastic I really get into that drum beat

Heard this on the radio, never heard of the barr brothers before. Great stuff.
Awesome stuff, love it. Caught it on the radio in my car back from work..picked-up a couple lyrics and..thank you you tube for making finding tunes so easy. Cheers
Wow, les images des cordes vibrantes de la harpe, génial, amusant. J'aime. Et la toune aussi. J'aime. Je découvre les Barr Brothers ce matin suite à l'article dans LaPresse. Merci.
everything about this song is unique, fresh and masterfully crafted. Couldnt be any fucking better to be honest and you must have known that when you finished it. Right on
Just discovered them on Radio Paradise last weekend. Better late than never I suppose. Been telling everyone I know and listening to everything I can find. Are they still active? BTW, Radio Paradise is the best free music in the 🌎.
Saw them last night in Portland - their live performance is over the top awesome! Amazing, talented, energetic and creative. Don't miss it if you get the chance.
This piece reminds me of West African blues, with the harp taking the role of the Kora. Check out Taj Mahal's hard to find album M'kutano. He goes back to West Africa to find the roots of his blues. Similar powerful vibe to this Barr brothers piece.
Such a good song...absolutely love the sound and rhythm...didn't know them at all..stumbled upon it through Spotify and the song caught me in 2 seconds....slightly dark and kind of a sexy sound..really good! New fan!
Your music is truly inspired and inspiring to a fellow musician. Keep thinking and playing outside of the box becsuse what you are creating is refreshingly unique. Since i accidently ran across your tackle box guitar video and followed the trail i am hooked. I will spread the word about your band. Btw, i never really liked harp but it fits your style like a key in a lock. WOW X 2.!
it has something of indian chant to it, sounds a bit that way - hiho Ojibwe :-) Great stuff ! god it's on loop here, easy but addictive :-) although 01:59-02:14 could easily be left out
I absolutely love the "Saharan" element of this song. Not every day one hears a Western song with overtones of Gnawa rhythm and Malian blues!
I was trying to put my finger on it!
Exactly ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Good Montreal boys.So much stuff coming out of Montreal.
Very cool old blues sound with a hypnotic aspect.
this is like some swamp boogie, harp playing, blues swingin' stew and I am just lovin it
