The name of the island is pronounced paw-rows. My family can trace our ancestry to paros and I want to go their when I visit greece someday. Love videos about greece and I definitely enjoyed this one
This church is known as the “Church with 100 doors” and is one of the most important preserved churches of Greece! There is a legend, which claims that 99 doors have been found in the Panagia Ekatondapiliani, but the 100th will be discovered only when Constantinople (Istanbul) will become Greek again. thats why its called that...
Oh man, this is a true discovery. Greece is beautiful, but Paros is a true pearl. It so fun to see you both smile and send all your energy through the video. Based on this video, I would book a trip straight to this place. This golden hour... whow! Groeten Tino

To Delightful travellers. Thank You Trevor for responding to my comment regarding Hania. Yes, I have watched many of your excellent videos including Hania which I know you loved, especially Balos lagoon and Elfonisi Beach. Sorry, but writing this is making me very sad as I yearn to go go back there in 2021. But carry on with your fantastic reviews. David.

Stunning guys! It is beautiful, would love to go visit there someday! All of the views and little streets are amazing, also enjoyed learning a ton about the area!
Good morning guys.Thank you so much for choosing my homeland for your holidays and the island of Paros. Unfortunately I didn't see you being in the most beautiful and touristic part of the island that is the city of Naousa and its beaches like Kolimbithres,Monastery and Santa Maria. I hope you come back to Paros and make a tribute to these places too.See ya

I’m planning to visit Greece for 1 week, which islands were your favourites? I’d like to make the most of my stay by seeing a few. Also currently watching all of the videos in your Greece playlist!
Hmmm... if you have a week the Naxos / Paros combo is great as they are close together. You could also probably squeeze in Santorini. Our favs are the smaller ones though... probably Patmos and Symi but they are really chill. Depends on what you're into :) - Trevor

Hi guys. I’m not sure if I’m missing something out but I was wondering when did you visit Paros. It would help to include the month/season🤗... The island does not seem really crowded... was it low season?
@@DelightfulTravellers I live in Greece 39 years and I haven't visit all of them yet 😂, time though is in our side 👍 keep traveling my friends. Panos from Volos city in central Greece.
I have been 30+ times to Greece and I ended up doing only 6 or so. But Crete I have done 8 times and I think have driven about 15.000km and can finally say I have seen alot from this truly amazing island with incredible splendors of any kind. Also the other many times where on the mainland in the Northern province of Macedonia, Epirus, and surrounding provinces. I can soooo recommend these places to non-Greeks. It's so weird that so many people know about Greece and it's heavenly landscapes/islands/sea/climate/food/people/history. But the mainland and still many other islands are so vastly under-promoted. And with vastly under-promoted I really cannot emphasize this enough.
Paros is gorgeous. Athough, Greece is everywhere gorgeous. Last may I went to Peloponnese and Athens, I absolutely loved it. And in August I went to Halkidiki on the mainland and from there to the island Thassos which many people don't really know, and it was gorgeous as well and again unique. There are really too many dropdead gorgeous places in Greece. Also the last Island I visited before this years thassos was a small island called Symi. Also really stunning and different: ruclips.net/video/ID2Ufat57_0/видео.html
Vlogs like yours are narcissistic and why hidden gems of special places get put on blast and ruined by more selfie stick carrying youtubers and selfish vloggers
Ok, Paros is indeed a beautiful untouched little gem of an island; but it is not the best all round island. Ok for a couple of days and then I would be bored senseless.!! Total lack of diversity, so therefore the best island for all round enjoyment has to be Crete.!! Especially Hania, which has everything a traveller could wish for. If I win the lottery, then I would happily live there for the rest of my days with the wonderful Cretians. Hania is Paradise on earth.
A delightful video, but all through it the two of you were pronouncing the name of the island wrong. The 'a' is a long 'a' like the 'a' in the word 'father.' It's not pronounced 'Pear-os'; but 'Pah'-ros.' The same for the island 'Antiparos': it's pronounced 'Anti-pah-ros,' not 'Anti-pear-os.' I am a lifetime, permanent resident of Paros and we natives are offended when the name of our island is mispronounced. I mean, it's such a short, simple name - one doesn't have to be a 'Rhodes Scholar' to learn to pronounce it correctly. Another suggestion, ditch the sunglasses. I don't care how blinding the Greek sun is; in 'public speaking' you must have eye contact with your audience; people want to SEE your eyes so as to make eye contact with you. Covering your eyes is a big 'faux pas' in public speaking.
I'm glad you liked the video. But....this is our video/channel and we're going to wear sunglasses because we like to. We're not public speakers. Also, we travel way too much to get every pronunciation correct. As Canadians, when we see a word spelled that way that's how we naturally say it. No need to get offended on that ✌️- Trevor
I'm with misterbignik - it's not difficult to pronounce the name right, especially when you're there and hear the locals say it. It shows respect for the place and its people and also doesn't sound like you're talking about Paris. It's not professional to not be able to pronounce the name of a place correctly. Sure this is your channel and you can do whatever you like, but if you would've replied that you will try to pronounce the names of the places you visit right, I would watch your other videos. :)
You are not supposed to show your shoulders and arms(women). The tank top on the man is very inappropriate for a church too. It’s tradition but also a matter of respect. They supply women with skirts if your wearing shorts.

Yep there is Poros island near Athens and Paros island in cyclades region.😉
It's not the the same name
My personal best: Kythera (Kythira Cythera alt.) and Antikythera (alt. Antikythira, Anticythera)
