    Paros is my favourite greek island, I have been there five years ago...and it was love at first sight. This june I'll very glad to come back...can't wait! Thank you for this nice video!

      Despite there's many constructions site around the island, Paros keep his charme and his extremely beauty. One of the things that scaryng me is the possibility that Paros became a new Mykonos...

    Wow, what a beautiful island Paros is, and what a great video! Smooth editing and really useful information to assist in planning a trip. Speaking of which the UEFA European Football Championship is on from June 14th 2024 for exactly 1 month. I'm thinking I need to watch a few games on Paros! I'm hoping there would be a taverna that would show the football in the evening? A great way to end a day in paradise (well until England inevitably lose on penalties of course!) 😂

    been to Paros and Antiparos several times and i totally agree to your recommendations. We always staying some nights on Antiparos.
    Spectacular Sunsets, one of the best beach bars there. And the walking street at night is amazing. So try a night on Antiparos and you will love it.

    Thanks for the great intro to Paros! Have been to 4 other islands over the years and Patmos twice which I love, but I'd like to find one that is closer to the mainland for travel convenience. Paros ticks several of the boxes I'm looking for --- especially that you hiked across the island in one day!!! And a good number of beaches that are not too rocky. I'll be going in late Sept/Oct hoping to avoid the crowds and find less expensive accomodations. Can you recommend any?? Thanks for the great 2 videos on Paros -- good info, less blah blah, look at me --- which too many RUclips videos seem to focus on!!! Efaristo poli!!

      Glad you enjoyed the video. Paros is lovely and should be relatively quiet late September. I've only stayed in the port town of Parikia but found it a very convenient base. Hotel Oasis is lovely and right by the port but doesn't have a pool if that's something you care about. It didn't bother me as there's a good beach in Parikia to the north. The bus station is also nearby where you can get to most resorts on the island for just a couple of euro.

    Thank you for giving us all this information and showing us what the island looks like. I had a question about tips for the waiters, is this compulsory or depends on whether the customer wants to give them ?

      Tipping in Greece is always discretionary. Unlike America where 20% or even 30% might be considered normal, I usually tip around 10% if the service is reasonable, maybe a little more if it's exceptional.

    @ladye6907 Год назад

    Very informative video. I’ll be going in September and would like to cover some of the beaches you mentioned and visit Naossua and Lefkes town. Do you think is that possible with the bus in 2 full days or it required a car rental.

    • @GreeceTravelGuide
      @GreeceTravelGuide  Год назад +1

      I would say it's possible using the bus. Naoussa is best seen in the evening and you could visit several beaches in one day if you work out which ones are on the same bus route (e.g down the east coastline one day and the west/south another). The benefit of a car would just be flexibility to move between beaches on your own schedule, but the buses are fairly regular. The timetable should be online if you Google it.

    Hi, can you please tell how is the situation of Taxis? Any price bracket?
    Thank you

    • @GreeceTravelGuide
      @GreeceTravelGuide  Год назад +2

      We never used a taxi on Paros but saw plenty around. Greek taxi prices are usually reasonable and remember to negotiate a price for your journey before getting in - don't rely on the meter or let them set the price at the end or you can get ripped off

    • @billgangsta539
      @billgangsta539 Год назад +1

      i am greek and most of the time we pay what the meter is saying. only in some rare cases we negotiate a price with the driver ( in islands happens more but we greeks we dont use them on holidays only on mainland ) mostly when there cab is full or sometimes on and off the airports and harbors. but it does not happen often. I guess its a tourist thing the taxi drivers do? but if you know how to read the meter you are fine. Buy the way all the taxi charge you more money to take you to the harbor or airport and ever more money if you have a lot of stuff they have to put in the truck of the car and stuff like that. Most times they have a label inside the cab of the taxi close to the dash that is saying all the extra charges in english and greek that always helps.

    Which Paros beach would you recommend for family with young teens, sandy beach please. Thank you

    • @GreeceTravelGuide
      @GreeceTravelGuide  Год назад

      There are lots of options. Aliki and Piso Aliki are within walking distance of each other and are lovely, but on the quieter side. Livadi, Logaras and Punda are good alternatives and sightly busier with more food choices. Again, you can get the bus or drive to one of them and walk between them easily to see which you prefer.

    Which area the best to stay in Paros, going there in October but still have no planning yet. Near the beach and less hassle bustle

    • @GreeceTravelGuide
      @GreeceTravelGuide  Год назад

      If you want a quieter beach setting, I would suggest Piso Livadi or Aliki. The capital, Parikia, has a nice beach and is reasonably quiet further north away from the port. Naoussa I wouldn't recommend as I don't think there are any good beaches in walking distance and it's also quite busy.

      Aliki is a beautiful Fishers village in early and late Season offering a few excellent dining options and at least one stunning Beach, as shown in the Video. One can easily pass one week, but it’s recommended hiring a Car. Busses are not very regular from there and you would be more Independent from their schedule. If you like easy hikes, it is also a perfect base.
