Cheers from Miami Fl! Great review! Just got one of these bad boys for my birthday, can’t wait to use it. Any chance you do a second review using the new tips and tricks learned??
Great stuff! Cheers! 👍
Good idea as well, I should do that!
Hope you're enjoying it! 👍🍺
When your using the Guinness surger cans , push the tap back for the whole pour , leave a little in the can to top up when settled.
Great stuff! Was hoping for some tips for my next go!
Have a good one chap! 👍🍻
@@BigBaldReviews I accidentally pulled the tap one time with the surger canuntil half way ,and the Guinness def didn’t taste as good .
Yes back for the whole pour! Fill three quarters, wait and do the rest.
This might be perfect for our boat since it’s portable and doesn’t take up much space. Great for RVs too!
Great review, thanks
Cheers 👍🍻
Good job mate, well done.
Cheers! 👍🍻
Top review as always fella. Nice little gadget, was really hoping it would be a game changer for Guinness 😔. Looking forward to next review, missed out on it over Xmas. Hopefully it great and will be straight in the basket next time it’s out 👍
Cheers chap!
I'm hoping there's a technique I'm missing for that Guinness!
Have a top weekend fella! 👍🍻
@@BigBaldReviewswas it a nitro or just carbonated? It winter work if nitro
Hi Baldy.
Thes fizzics are a bit gimmicky. I have the previous iteration called Fizzics Waytap and I only use it in the winter with stouts/Porters.
I’ve found it doesn’t work at all for lager/Pilsners as it leaves them looking lifeless and tasting flat. It’s ok with bitters pale ales and IPA’s and does slightly improve the mouthfeel, head retention and makes the beer slightly smoother.
With Stouts & Porters it is a great piece of kit and makes your stout/Porter taste like it’s nitrogen charged rather than a CO2 carbonated beer. It doesn’t work well with nitrogen charged beer such as Guinness draught or the Surger cans but using the Guinness original (CO2 carbonated) it makes it taste almost as good as a nitrogen charged beer and very close to the draught/Surger cans.
My fizzics is currently back in the box until the winter comes and it’s stout/Porter season again.
Have a good weekend
Joff 👍👍🍺🍺
Cheers fella!
Had a budvar through it tonight and it didn't do much. Reckon you could be in to something with the stouts and porters, then throw the odd IPA through it.
Have a top weekend also! 👍🍻
Cracking review, you've sold me lol 😆
👍 hope you like it then fella! 😂
Have a top weekend chap! 👍🍻
You to matey 👍
Hi BBR great review, looks like a good little machine but if I have a spare 99 quid I would probably buy a couple of keg instead 😂 😂. But you do good reviews and I like watching everyone and the that neon sign looks brilliant. Have a great weekend and thanks for the video.
That's a fair choice as well Jimbo!
Thanks for watching fella! Hope you have a top weekend! 👍🍻
Nice review as usual chap , the Fanziskaner Royale a proper belter , but not at 3 degree's . I pour a few pints and leave a little before a little top up before the suppage , if you like german wheat beer , you'll love the King .
Cheers fella!
Will let it warm a tad for the review! Nice one! 👍🍻
I always just leave the machine off for about 5 hours to get the temperature up before drinking for stuff like that. Seems to work pretty well and it won't go back down that fast once you put it back on
I've got a PD and a fizzics and I love them both. I find the PD refills to be quite pricy but worth it every now and then. I use the fizzics nearly every time I have a can or bottle personally and had it since December. Cheers 🍻
Reckon I'm going to do the same with the fizzics. Keep it in the kitchen and fire bottles and cans through it each time! Do you run hot water or anything through it to keep it clean? 👍🍻
@@BigBaldReviews I just run hot or cold water through it whenever I change to a different beer.
If I'm having a session with the same beer I just keep using it and run water through it once I've finished them all as it can be a ball ache keep doing it after each drink.
Mine has stayed pretty clean over the months though and not got moldy or dirty at all.
I've just turned the PD off after having it for 18 months. To be honest it's a bit expensive for what's on offer. It isn't a pub quality pint, it's a gadget so we can pretend we've got a pub in our house.
I'm not getting rid of it but I'm going to ease back on the keg purchases.
I've got one to try tim I just worry it won't get all the good stuff out the bottom of the can and I'm going to have to faff about
@@Dmacca2489 I've not had any issues with that. All I would advise is not too have huge expectations about the fizzics.
It will not change the flavour of your beers. It more alters the texture making drinks smoother with better heads making them more "pub draft" like.
I have no regrets getting one and enjoy using mine personally though 👍
Yes lad been waiting on you to upload
Cheers 👍🍻
I noticed a Kraftwerkian Trans Europe Expressesque intro/fadeout with the graphics...
"From station to station
Back to Dusseldorf city
Meet Iggy Pop..
...and Big Baldy..."🎵🎶🎵
Where do you get your glasses from baldi? Could you post me a link at all m8. Keep up the great reviews 👍
Cheers fella. Tbh I've got quite a few off Facebook marketplace or eBay. Otherwise a cracking place to try is ukglassware.com/ 👍🍻
We use little water pumps for 5 gallon bottles of water here in Dubai
Cost £3 each
Tried one on my beer and got the same results.
So ill stick to my £3 pint.
Well played that 👍🍻
So for Guinness, try the normal cans with a widget, use the pin trick to release the nitro from the widget, then when pouring, instead of pulling tap forward then back, just pour by pushing tap back right from the start of the pour.
Cheers fella, I'm going to give this a go! 👍🍻
Sounds like a lot of work for a beer! LOL! I'll stick to popping the top off a bottle and swiggin it down! 😉
Absolute pants...
I think I'd only be interested in using this with the surger cans for Guinness - but we now have the NitroSurge device (which works with Surger and NS cans), it's only 30 quid and essentially does the same thing.
I don't suppose you've picked up one of them and compared the 2?
Interesting you should say that as I have bought the nitrosurge and haven't yet reviewed it, so may well compare to this when I do! Cheers 👍🍻
Sold! Thanks 😅👍🏼
Worth a blast eh! 👍🍻
Got one of these coming as I'm intrigued to try it. I only drink ipa and pales and mostly hazy ones at that and Arbor beers that I buy always have all the flavour and sediment in the bottom of the can. I've seen on reviews this machine leaves some beer in the bottom of the can because the tube doesn't go all the way down to the bottom of the can. So is the fizzics going to miss all that goodness at the bottom? Am I going to have to stop the pour halfway to open the fizzics up and swirl the can?
I think it depends on the can. The Guinness surger can I didn't notice any at the bottom, but then I did raise it a bit. I've had a few bottles through it this weekend and it did leave a bit at the bottom of those.
Should think a quick swirl just beforehand would be ok?
I need to try it out myself a bit more to be honest fella 👍🍻
@@BigBaldReviewsyeah was thinking maybe a gentle roll of the can before hand maybe.... a guy at arbor actually told me he does that before opening. Either that or just do your trick and put it abit higher inside or plan c just take the can out swirl it and dump it in after the pour 🤷🏻♂️
@@Dmacca2489 we'll wing it for a bit, try different methods. Sure we'll get the perfect pour fella! 👍🍻
What a dreadful machine it takes the taste out of your beer!!!
@@Dmacca2489 what beer did you try it with chap?
Ay up Baldy, great review as always, however beer was consumed and no snack reviewed! Not usually one for commenting but this did effect me greatly, how will I sleep tonight? How can I ever move on from this? Thought you may be interested in a snack suggestion for the future... Regae Regae groove cut crisps! Excellent thirst quenchers, exquisite flavour leaving just a slight tickle on the tongue, what more could you want? If like the Spice Girls, you too, want to spice up your life, I believe they are available in Tescos. Cheers🍺🍻
😂 apologies! I thought I'd waffled on long enough without any snackage on this one! 😂
Next week's keg review will have snackage for sure, and those regae regae crisps sound just the job! If they're in Tesco's I'll give them a go! 👍🍻
Baldy, get yourself to Morrison's and chuck some Olly's Sweet Chilli Pretzel thins in your basket. Went down great with a Hertog last night 👌. Solid snackage......
Like the sound of them beauties! 👍🍻
Nailed It half foam
🤣
So, big bald im assuming you rinced the machine out of the box AND rinced after the beer before the Guinness? Thank you, im here because im looking for a review on the laldi version for 30€.
Yeah, I kept rinsing the machine 👍🍻
Really tempted. Thing is am I gonna be paying £100 to raise the quality of my pint by a few %??
Basically yes, that's about it. Had a budvar through it tonight, didn't do much. Worked better with that double hazy I reckon 👍🍻
Nice one bald 👌🇮🇪
Cheers fella! 👍🍻
The price point I think is ridiculous Baldy for the reasons you explained 👍, to take away the taste profile for a hell of cost (£99) to me is absolutely odd quite honestly 😮🤣 but each to there own of course. On a more pleasant note Heated Seats is currently cooling and I'm hoping the possible scorchio day the morra will bring out the flavours 🐵
It could do with being a tad cheaper fella! I like the idea of it just improving cans and bottles though, it does make a difference.
Let that heated seats warm up a bit for sure fella! Also take the keg out quickly and give it a little swirl! 😉 Enjoy chap! 👍🍻
What a treat Heated Seats is🙂 I was impressed with Tiny Rebel Cali Pale but this is tremendous, worked out £30-£35 aswell 🐵!🙂
Alright baldy nice review, I've got the richard bergendi beer tap. Slightly cheaper than the Fizzic comming in at 50 notes but... it only does cans not bottles.
Then again its 70 quid cheaper. Looking forward to the pint365 review soon.
That's a more reasonable price to be fair!
Yeah, I've gotta get that pint365 review sorted, had it a while and run nothing through it yet! 👍🍻
Hey welshman is the bergendi any good for the guinness?
@@larchielad guinness cans are not regular 440 can shape so doesn't work with guinness unfortunately
@@raging-welshman u reckon itd be as good as the fizzics if u had 500ml cans?
@@larchielad unsure, it fits most cans from 330 up to 500ml as long as their normal cans. I'm still using mine, its really good with brewdogs lost lager and really smooths out ipa's
The Guiness is better if you pull the tap back for the whole pour. I’ve a jewellery cleaner and that is better for the Surger cans than this is
Cheers fella, I'll give that a blast!
Was a bit gutted with the results on this one! 👍🍻
I absolutely hate drinking anything from a can so im definitely gonna get this
It's a great little machine 👍🍻
You’ve poured the Guinness surger can wrong - you need to push the handle forward for 1st part pour until above the harp - leave for about 30 secs and push forward again to top up for a dome head
Nice one! I'll have to try it with that technique! 👍🍻
Would it be ok for homebrew beer
Good question. I can't think why not!
I have a Pinter. Maybe one day I'll try that out with this 🤔
Thanks mate keep up the videos love them
Sorry for the repeated “Ello Ello” comments Baldy, it wasn’t showing my end and I was kinda excited to beat the usual commenters with “first” 😂
Watching your video I am now thinking on investing in one of them but could you possibly do another vid with a few more cans to see if it’s worth it? I understand that it will improve a can (simple fizzics mate) but can it bring the can up to the perfect draft standards?
Anyway, thanks for another interesting and entertaining vid matey, all the best and cheers 🍻
Brilliant! 😂
It's good and I'll run some more cans through it chap, but I don't think it's anywhere near PerfectDraft standard.
That said, what might be interesting would be a bottle or can of a beer that's on the PerfectDraft... I'll do that! 👍🍻
Sounds good 👌
My handle broke at the joint after a few months.
That's bad news 😔 got to admit, I haven't used it a lot
Try a normal pint can of Guinness but push the handle back from the start.
Make sure you pin hole the can before opening it
Have to give that a go fella!
Cheers 👍🍻
This works great and saves you about £1 a can.
How did u nail that? 😂😂😂
😂
if i cant fill it with 4/5 pints what's the point just drink from the can or pour into a glass its not worth the money.
It's more for just the odd random can or bottle I guess. We'll see if I'm still using it in a few months I guess! 👍🍻
@@BigBaldReviews for me it would be the faf of swapping out if I had a few cans to try I'd get fed up lol
Er, kinda reinventing the wheel. Missing a trick. No clamp to tighten to bar or screw holes? And the old weak usb port. Pointless bit o kit. A can o beer is a can o beer! But good review. Cheers.
It's a bit gimmicky have to admit. I've rarely used it since. If you're a Guinness fan, it can certainly come into play, but for general cans and bottles, it means a bit of a better mouth feel, but that's about it.
Cheers 👍🍻
I wonder how it would do with home brew ?
Could be a good addition to brews out the pinter if you've bottled them! 👍🍺
U can get the same results with a simple 50p syringe. No joke, sluuurp 👍😊
Take some syringing though wouldn't it? 😂
With guinnes I push, let settle then pull to top up.
Yeah this has been suggested a few times, I need to give it another go! 👍🍻
Surger cans are way to expensive
True that fella 🍻
Sweet christ ! That's one badly poured stout 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
😂
Wait till my review tomorrow fella!
SHITE ! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY JUST TRIED IT AND IT MADE THE BEER LESS FLAVOURFUL!
😂 not impressed then fella!
@@BigBaldReviews Awful mate the worst thing is now I'm in a bloody battle with mankind to get a refund saying because I've used it I can't have my money back ! It spits beer all over show so I've said it's faulty to get a refund what a nightmare!
@@Dmacca2489 bad news chap. Hope you get your monies back!
It’s not a perfect Guinness because you must prick the can at the top to release the gas first, then your pour 3/4 pint let it settle and put again, your all wrong
That's only necessary with standard Guinness draught cans. I'm using surger cans which don't require the pin prick.
Thanks for the comment! 👍🍻

@BigBaldReviews good job the nitrosurge.
Pointless gimmick.
