Problem with getting rid of some of the classics is, they’re getting rid of Disney’s history and if I’m honest some of them are way better than the new content
@@WhatsOnDisneyPlusI agree. Physical media tends to be more vulnerable to breaking/upkeep issues. Also, the companies are rolling more and more toward streaming.

Sure there may be media degradation, but so many of those discs will outlive me. The fact that they have removed films like the Reluctant Dragon, Swiss Family Robinson and Hello Dolly really highlights how little they care about the history of entertainment.
I watched several old Disney TV shows and movies when I was younger and liked them. Now with them gone from Disney+. Makes me feel quite sad. Farewell Childhood Memories.
I am really sad to see that so many of the 1990s and 2000s Disney Channel films have been removed. Including the Zenon films, which is weird considering that Disney has just released a Funko Pop for Disney 100 of Zenon.
Why do you think Percy Jackson hasn't been renewed for a second season yet? The ratings on neilsen seem to be very strong, and they did a massive marketing push around the time for the finale. So why not renew it?
I'll tell you my thoughts on this. VERY disgusted and upset! I had Disney+ since day one, and it really infuriates me that they removed all these movies and shows that I really enjoyed watching. And now I'm fearing the service will get shut down if they keep on doing this just to save money. Has me thinking why they ever got into the streaming war in the first place, AND why they even purchased 20th Century Studios.
This is why Disney isnt making money through dianey1, completly doing the opposite of what they advertised, they said it would never raise in price higher than Netflix, never have adds, once added content would stay on aside from a "few" licensed titles, within several years, much of the back catalogue was supposed to be on there, it was meant to be the vault cracked open for good, And meant to stay at a LOW price and would only be raised once or twice to accommodate some of the bew content. price has more than doubled, ads have been added, tiers are ridiculous, majority of content has been removed, less content, shit prices, and higher than Netflix was. And the vault closing, once again
I wasn’t told Disney+ was going up until I saw a bank statement saying there taking £10.99 now . We need physical media to stay and shops to return to selling it.
Disney did not remove those 200 titles because it wanted to, it was simply a technical error but soon those titles will be back when this error will fixed.
When the first removals were noticed I would have agreed with you , but once it hits hundred+ it’s unlikely and disney has confirmed the removals to deadline
I think the whole thing with content being removed is just frustrating. Disney clearly said that Disney plus would mark the end of the Disney vault, and then they said that because it’s difficult to digitize a lot of older stuff, it’s hard to get them on. I can give them a pass on realizing that it’s hard, but we are already 5 years in, and we still don’t have everything. Also, they did promise like Cory in the House coming soon, but it never came. They also promised The Weekenders coming soon, but it also never came. Disney is just going to have to get another CEO for this if Bob Iger is going to keep removing beloved classic films and shows. That’s just how I feel about classics getting removed.
Unfortunately, some of the things like the Weekenders being promised was by the online chat helpdesk for Disney+, something which I've learned can't be relied on as a source of information because often they are just pulling info off google.
@@WhatsOnDisneyPlus really? They pull it off of Google? That’s odd. Also, there was a recent discord message or something with a list of classic content with the times they’re coming. But again, adding classic titles being gone just makes me upset. I’ll keep using Disney plus as long as it lives, but I don’t know if the magic will come back in my opinion.
The "classic" list doing the rounds is a fake, since lets be honest, we rarely know what's coming up a month in an advance, let alone some random classic title 18 months away. Sadly, the missing classic content doesn't seem like its a high priority since legacy content that isn't "super" popular doesn't pull in much viewership with younger audiences.
@@WhatsOnDisneyPlus it’s just upsetting. Only reason I signed up was to watch anything that Disney has ever produced. It does make sense to not release older titles that aren’t popular. Maybe they’re taking a step back from that to focus on what will work. I guess we’ll wait to see what happens.
I am also really surprised by the 2010s Disney Channel tv series like Andi Mack and Just Roll With It being removed as these only finished a few years ago!
@@WhatsOnDisneyPlus That's what I originally thought as well as I remember wanting to watch the show but seeing so many missing episodes and deciding not to.
If films and shows aren't being watched on the streaming service. Then it does make sense to remove them. That's the whole point of a streaming service. To have content that people are watching and enjoying. That's what brings in the money.
This had better only be because of rights working differently in Europe, or otherwise a temporary oversite. Because unless they're about to replace these films with 4K rescans, there's no reason for most of these to be removed! Sure, there are a few films that were made by 20th Century Fox which may be leaving due to old pre-existing contracts. But otherwise, most of these classic films only use music made in-house, and relatively affordable retired actors from a bygone era.
Not sad about removing ESPN stuff but sad about classic Disney movies removed. Heck, they didn't finished dubbing Pepper Ann into Finnish fully when they removed it! Only first two seasons were dubbed.
I’ve heard Hello Dolly and Swiss Family Robinson are on the way out of U.S. Disney+. I think they are about to do some significant moving here in the USA, with the massive Hulu migration coming in.
When do you think the live-action remake of Lilo and Stitch will come out now? Personally I could see it coming out by the end of this year, early next year at the latest. It’s a shame that the strikes happened when there was only one week left to go as I’m sure it would’ve probably already come out by now or close to release too.

Are those 200 movies and TV shows on Disney Plus going to be removed PERMINATELY? I have three Disney movies that were produced by Walt Disney himself in my Disney Plus watchlist and, if those ones are three of the ones getting removed, I won't be able to watch them. Also, I was thinking about donating the Disney movies I have on Blu-ray and DVD and selecting those ones onto my Disney Plus watchlist.
