48:03 The T-Rex after being alone since the very first Jurassic Park Movie, finds a family (confirming that she is not the only T-Rex to exist in the movies.)
The two rexes are actually confirmed to be Buck and Doe, the mates in The Lost World. What's funny is these two were hatched alongside Rexy before the original Jurassic Park was open on Isla Sorna, but the pen that was made for the park could only hold one rex. They separated Rexy from these two and put her in the pen on Isla Nublar, leaving the family separate. It's known today that Tyrannosaurs were family oriented animals, meaning they grew up and hunted alongside one another until they reached maturity or could go their separate ways. Seeing the three of them together now is heartwarming.
The original JP is part of my childhood, seeing the OG cast members put a huge smile on my face. It feels like the Infinity War/Endgame of the Jurassic Series

On the defense of the raptors in the OG movies not having feathers, at least Charlie and Blue were created with non-feathered lizard DNA and Idk what Echo had, Delta theoretically should have had feathers though
It's also highly likely that rexy died after meeting them in that scene, because they would have immediately wanted to kill her because she stumbled upon them in their territory.
My daughter and I have hundred (ok maybe over 2000 hours) into a game called 'ARK: Survival Evolved' about dinosaurs, survival, taming dinosaurs, etc. Nothing's more exciting that watching these movies with her and trying to see who can guess the dinosaur and the proper name the fastest. Brings a whole new joy to dinosaur movies. And yes, like many have commented there's loose to extremely loose interpretations of the dinosaur look and behavior, but the effect is still the same: entertainment, fun and maybe even inspiriting a new generation of archaeologists, paleontologists, etc.
Ellie never really studied dinosaurs. She is, or was, a Paleobotanist. That's why she was searching for the plants that made the Triceratops sick in the first film, and why she's into the crops in this film.
I love this movie so much because it brings both the original and the new generation together. This is by far my favorite of the new ones though the first one of the new movies was cool too. I do love all the throw backs to the original and like you I saw the first movie in the theaters when I was around 5 or so years old and we were sitting in the third row so when the T-rex attacks it felt like it was going to come for m too and that scared me haha...to be fair I was just a kid and hadn't yet developed my love for all things scary. 12:45 Per the original source material, the "Jurrasic Park" novel by Michael Crichton, Dr. Grant and Dr. Sattler were never supposed to be romantically involved. Grant was a professor, Ellie was his graduate student (his graduate assistant), nothing more. Any romantic intention in the movies was likely the invention of Steven Spielberg.
Lots of dinosaurs, especially raptors, had feathers. Also, the big dinosaur with the claws was called Therozinosaurus. It was a herbivore, but had those massive claws for self defense. Also, what most people don't notice is that the one in this movie was blind, hence why it attacked the deer unprovoked. We know from study that even in the modern day, if an animal is blind, it makes it about 10 times more aggressive because it has to be to survive. That explains why the one in the movie is so aggressive
Nice reaction! You should totally consider watching the extended cut of this movie, it includes the full story plot for the T. rex. Without giving too much away, the rivalry between the Rex and the Giga in this movie was actually so much more than a simple territorial dispute between predators. Have a good one
Some things I wanna talk about considering some of the new animals. The feathered dinosaur on the ice was called a Pyroraptor, so you calling it a phoenix is mildly accurate. Most dinosaurs were believed and are known to have feathers, such as Velociraptors. Some believe that Tyrannosaurus had a light coat of feathers as well. They don't have it in the movie however because of the whole gene matching thing. Most have amphibian DNA or reptilian DNA, so they're not completely accurate. Next, the cave dinosaurs called Dimetrodon. The catch is, they aren't dinosaurs at all, they're actually way older, existing before them entirely. They're also closely related to mammals instead of reptiles, a type of animal known as Synapsids. Lastly was the dinosaur with the long fingers, Therizinosaurus. They actually existed, and the claws were that long! They're known to be herbivorous, but we're likely highly territorial animals. You wouldn't want to run into them in the wild.
46:11, not always, look at JP3, that trex is killed off. And they weren't always the largest carnivore, if anything Giganotosaurus is actually even 2nd largest compared to Spinosaurus.
One of my favorite moments of this movie is Dodgson's death. He goes the same way out as Dennis Nedry, the guy who could give him 10 years of research👍 Rexy is always the savior, and He is my favorite Dinosaur of all time, alongside Blue❤
Back in the 90's there was a cartoon called 'Cadillacs and Dinosaurs' based off of a comic book (which also spawned a fairly good arcade side-scrolling game). The premise was that it was the year 2513 and somehow dinosaurs are back and mankind has mostly regressed, but there are still some machines (Cadillacs for example). I always wondered how to explain how dinosaurs came back, but I now have a fan-theory that these movies are how it happened.

Just wanted to say that this was such a great video, so thank you 😊! Also, if you think dinosaurs are scary, you should look up what scientists think they actually sounded like 😳.
No point in holding your breath along with a character because most of the time those scenes include edited cuts to other things happening at the same time. Not this time, but most times that's how it goes 😛 I think some people miss the fact that Lewis Dogson is the same Dogson that gave Nedry the canister in the first movie.
Bc that's what they say the real dinosaurs were always meant to look like and Not the reptile appearance, which means the movies been lying to us for 30 long years hell almost 31 now.
The "water dinosaur" is a Mosasaurus, which are marine reptiles, but not dinosaurs. Similarly, the "flying dinosaurs" are pterosaurs, which are flying reptiles, but not dinosaurs. The red feathered dinosaur was a Pyroraptor. The dinosaur that Claire bumps into in the forest is the Therizinosaurus, which is a herbivorous dinosaur. As to why it's blind in the movie, no idea. And the animals they meet in the caves are Dimetrodons, which were non-mammalian synapsids.
This film has so many reptiles in it! I had no idea. I thought they were all dinosaurs! Thanks for sharing your wisdom with me ❤️ That Mosasaurus seems terrifying!
Technically, "water dinosaurs" aren't actually dinosaurs. They're relatives of dinosaurs. In fact, the Mosasaurus, who's the guy that showed up in the beginning of the movie, is quite closely related to modern monitor lizards.

I mean, that T-Rex is cool, but it had a higher human kill count than the Giga, Giga never killed anyone. Ok, so he might've tried but...they did him dirty. They should've killed off the Thirinzo (claws), he murdered that deer with no intention to even eat it! As for 'not knowing T-Rex's could die in these movies', have you forgotten JP3 when the Spino killed one? 😅
Tried to watch this movie twice. Both attempts made me lose living brain cells. The writers I'd wager, never met an animal bigger than a medium sized cat. Lassoing an animal that weighs multiple tons. From horseback. Wile running. (Who in their right mind would blast full gallop on snowy, uneven, unknown terrain? That horse more than likely would have broken one of it's legs). That stump would have been a weak joke in that situation, not to mention anyone holding on to the rope. A single horse can make you fly and those dinos are elephant sized. Guns in the last 3 movies just don't matter, while in the first 2 they were lethal and had to be written out of play in clever ways. Here: 8 guns pointed on 1 raptor - everyone decides running is the best option... These writers need to watch more gunchannels on YT. And go back to school. And probably stay away from writing... JP1 is forever childhood movie for me, watched it as a kid more than i care to admit. I just can't accept the JW franchise. Every JW movie got dumber than the previous, dominion is serious brainrot. And it could have been awesome...
...so fun, Jax, to watch this with you (although I've never seen this one before), ehm - lets say: if you've seen one of the series, you can predict at least 50 % of whats happening anyway, incl. love story and happy end... lets face it: most guys watch this, because they want to see the old buddies again... fair enough 😎
Yes, Ellie mentioned they were in college. She had her first kid in 1998, 5 years after the events of the 1st Jurassic Park movie take place. Her youngest kid looked to be only a few months old when Jurassic Park 3 happened in 2001. In 2022 (the year of Old Dominion), they would be about 24 & 21, which are still acceptable college ages (Especially if they're going for their doctorates like their mom).
I liked the small dinosaurs. It's just too bad you couldn't train them to be human friendly. Have you seen An American Werewolf In London? It was an 80's classic. Maybe sometime you could do a reaction video of it? I'm sure you would like it.
I always thought of this film as a sequel to Jurassic Park, but it wasn't until I re-watched the end with you that I realized it's actually a prequel to the Walking Dead! Wonder how everyone on Earth got infected in the Walking Dead? Jurassic Locusts! Mystery solved. 🤣🤣🤣
You should have probably watched Fallen Kingdom first. It would have explained where this movie starts. Also, did you know sharks are considered prehistoric?
Hahahaha, “Littlefoot”

Hey Jax you need to rewatch Jurassic Park and the watch the other movies too!!
Where can I find your reaction video to the original JP?
Before this you really need to see all of the jurassic park and world series to understand the whole story
iam on Ur side Jax who cares about the human race wildlife is more impotent sorry if my spelling is bad today Iam not good with words.
First Jurassic Park, then Jurassic World and now Jurassic Universe, i guess
The Dino with the long claws was Blind
This is my favorite Jurassic film out of all of them. I like the extended version though. The theatrical version is not as good.
Your feeling of being more uncomfortable with animals being hurt than humans may be more popular than you think
I forget, but didn't Ellie say her kids were in college? Does this movie not take place 30 years after the first?
Yes, Ellie mentioned they were in college. She had her first kid in 1998, 5 years after the events of the 1st Jurassic Park movie take place. Her youngest kid looked to be only a few months old when Jurassic Park 3 happened in 2001.
In 2022 (the year of Old Dominion), they would be about 24 & 21, which are still acceptable college ages (Especially if they're going for their doctorates like their mom).
@@xxlaugherteexx thanks
I liked the small dinosaurs. It's just too bad you couldn't train them to be human friendly. Have you seen An American Werewolf In London? It was an 80's classic. Maybe sometime you could do a reaction video of it? I'm sure you would like it.
Is this the extended edition?
No, it's the Theatrical cut.
"That is so cute... despite how terrifying they are" - can also be applied to women lol
Haha!
My Favorite movie ❤❤❤❤❤❤
You should have probably watched Fallen Kingdom first. It would have explained where this movie starts. Also, did you know sharks are considered prehistoric?
I hope you watch all JP and JW movies. Love watching your reaction. I'm definitely subbing and checking your other posts later. ❤
And, T-Rex wasn't the biggest carnivore of that time period.
Why the screen always gatta blur
I barley saw the final fight 💀💀💀💀💀💀💀
You should do a video reaction to the Jurassic Park franchise.
Hate marshmallow but ill take melted chocolate on a Graham cracker.
"When did Dinosaurs get feathers?"
Uhm....
