Thank you!
ive been listening to the NYC 88 - this one is very nice actually
42:00 daaaaaamn kenny you NAILED IT! Miles: Kenny.. Wanna do it again?! Kenny..." WOO
miles !!!!!
So if anyone doubts the importance of master drummer for any band; listen to the ‘85 gig at the same venue: Ricky is a monster here, Mike was a monster on guitar on that earlier gig, but it does not affect the group sound as much as Ricky’s does here.
agreed, the drummer is the single most important member in influencing a band's sound.
Imprsonante. Un saludo.
...not the same date, but month..:-) The 1985 concert was fantastic!
+Familien Lauesen Indeed. Miles would usually play dates in Europe in October and November each year and would often return to the same venues. It can get confusing! :)
Sorry! You'right! It's the same date as the 1985 concert in Copenhagen. Strange.
👍
rietveld plays divine! and listen to foley - awesome (unfortunately not loud enough ... )

Furieux !
My favorite band of his and era. I know that’s blasphemous to some.
telepathic tight band....
1985 is the right year! Not 1988!
+Familien Lauesen Nope. The personnel and repertoire make 1985 impossible. Kenny Garrett and Ricky Wellman joined the band in early 1987, Foley a couple of months later and Benny Rietveld didn't join until the summer of 1988. Joey DeFrancesco played with the band for a few weeks at the end of 1988. Many of the tunes here are from Tutu, which wasn't recorded until early 1986. The Senate/ Me and You first appears mid-1987, In A Silent Way/ Intruder was used as a set opener during 1988 and early 1989. Heavy Metal was played at a few concerts in the latter half of 1988.
There is a concert from this venue from 1985, with Bob Berg on saxes and Mike Stern on guitar. I posted it here: ruclips.net/video/IfsQpp2l_nQ/видео.html
a real connoissuers speak. many thanks!
may I post a question: who played kbds at montreux in july '88 except mr.holzman?
the couple foley-rietveld is awesome! (+ wellman/cinelu would have been my perfect rhythm-section ... )
@@looping1951 Only just seen this comment! The keys player in Montreux July '88 was Robert Irving, his last tour as a member of the band. Apologies for the late reply! :)
thanks indeed, Milestones! and mr . holzman wasn't member of that troup? some confusion in my brain, bc I saw Miles about 20 times in CH.
If 😢 you want to hear Miles buy a turntable and record albums. As for roll a joint light and incense. If you know you know you. If you know never forget. Aww! Shit east! Lol
