I didn’t go to high school with Joe Burrow but I live 4-5 miles from where he went to school and my high school and his are rivals. I think before Burrow the most exciting thing to happen sports wise is we’ve had some players reach the minors before but nothing close to what Burrow has done. It’s been surreal experiencing that.

Coach Brian Kelly was in my high school class in Danvers, Mass. A quiet kid, a lineman on the team, not a star player, but a big fan of Coach Glatz, who made a big impression on him, a love of the game. Nice to see Brian rise to such heights here. Great idea to go for 2 points at the end. The LSU offense is dependable with that QB.
I just don't get it. I mean if you run out of bounds you can't catch a pass or recover a fumble can you? Whole thing was really weird and LSU got zero of the 2-3 close calls that were reviewed.

Congrats from an Oregon Ducks fan. College atmosphere is so amazing. Some of these big matchups are unbelievably exhilarating. In the NCAA it’s do or die and, virtually every week, you’ll find a powerhouse matchup where it feels like a playoff game because… that’s practically what it is - one game, and you could be done. The percentage, alone, on whether a team wins or loses is vividly clear. And as Ducks fan I’ve witnessed many times what happens when we come up short - especially near the end of the season, because that’s when the AP Poll is at its most potent. Y’all played a heck of a game. And Bama has constantly been a force to be reckoned with. The irony that some may not realize, Saban goes for 2 point conversions on both pre OT TD’s (and fails) and Kelly goes for the last one as a knockout punch.
ND homer here, Kelley is a good coach that makes occasional crazy ass decisions thet usually went south at ND so he looked impulsive. It worked for him here. I appreciate what he did for ND, he legit saved the program but he had clearly hit a wall so I get why he left, and I think Freeman has the charisma to recruit to get himself a statue in South Bend. I don’t see them winning another one especially in the era of NIL and transfer portal I been saying this since 2021 they don’t look hungry anymore other teams that couldn’t recruit great talent before are benefiting a lot from transfer portal and NIL they got good teams and can compete with the elite teams out there. LSU always had insane talent but the 2022 team was not as talented as so many past teams of ours and we still pulled this off.

Reason why? Money. Bama had money before NIL and they still have it. Recruits still look at Bama as the main connection to the league even if they don't win it all. LSU has had the teams to beat Bama for years, but they never signed a QB that could beat them until Burrow. That other kid beat them in that 9-6 win, but the powers that be allowed Bama back into the championship game and Bama won that game. The NIL will definitely have an effect on Bama's recruiting, but they'll remain in the top 5 as long as Saban is there.

This loss against UGA only proved that we weren’t ready for the #1 spot not our fault but doesn’t mean the program won’t claim it back…

I don’t see them winning another one especially in the era of NIL and transfer portal I been saying this since 2021 they don’t look hungry anymore other teams that couldn’t recruit great talent before are benefiting a lot from transfer portal and NIL they got good teams and can compete with the elite teams out there. LSU always had insane talent but the 2022 team was not as talented as so many past teams of ours and we still pulled this off.

Reason why? Money.
Bama had money before NIL and they still have it. Recruits still look at Bama as the main connection to the league even if they don't win it all.
LSU has had the teams to beat Bama for years, but they never signed a QB that could beat them until Burrow.
That other kid beat them in that 9-6 win, but the powers that be allowed Bama back into the championship game and Bama won that game.
The NIL will definitely have an effect on Bama's recruiting, but they'll remain in the top 5 as long as Saban is there.
The best NIL deal on the field that night was the bag Bama gave those refs to ensure they got the best calls that night.
