The narrator have describe few truthful facts, but has completely ignored the most important ones; thus misleading the audience about the motives of the people who wanted him dead and about the true identity of his killers. That assassination was perfectly executed, and Westerns foreign agencies exploited resentements in his close security and used arab Libaneses to corrupts those young kids who had access to him to get to him; that was a typical case of lack of professionalism in the presidential secret service and he paid a high price on that mistake. The problem of this video is that the narrator has completely ignored the crutial role of the real steakholders who wanted Kabila dead including the neighboring countries who were at war with him, and their sponsor who were the Western countries who were funding those rebellions against him because he refused to yield access to Congo minerals and was getting in bed with China and North Korea that were helping with Kabila's army young officers training...long story short the minerals curse on that country manifested again once more.

Many thanks, Brocambro. I appreciate you for stopping by. I have read your observation but it would have assisted more if you have added names to your observation and possibly add the roles played by such names. On Back in History we dig into the archives to bring out our stories. We stick strongly to facts. For instance, the better part of your observation is yet to be documented by any leading source of historical information. We thus cannot carry such information on our channel. We appreciate you nonetheless for always stopping by.

Brocambro is right this narrative is the one they want us to believe in and stray from the truth but I will suggest for this Chanel to found out how was the usual security of Kabila and why the lapses in his security that fateful day to come to a real conclusion.

    Poorly researched story...
You don't even say what Kabila had promised the Kadogo's, of which he failed!
    1. Laurent Kabila was murdered on the orders of Joseph Kagame of Rwanda.
    2. Joseph Kabila was not even the biological son of Laurent; he was planted there by Kagame in a well orchestrated scheme so that later they'd kill Laurent. Why, one would ask? Joseph Kabila was a Rwandese Tutsi (like Kagame), and his orders were to take over the DRC at an opportune time for some nefarious purposes:
    1. Kagame wanted a puppet government in the DRC with a president willing to do whatever Kagame wanted.
    2. Kagame wanted unhindered access to the DRC in order to plunder resources
    3. Kagame wanted to hunt down and eliminate the Iterahamwe (Hutu rebels residing in the DRC and who had formed an opposition front to fight against Kagame's government)
    4. Kagame has always wanted to annex a piece of the DRC (Kivu region) where many Rwandese of the Tutsi extraction reside, and even today, he supports the so called M23 who fight against the current DRC government.

    • @backinhistory9

It occurred in DR Congo. Right in the office of the President. The situation was so serious that he needed to be flown out to the nearest best medical facility. Zimbabwe 🇿🇼 thus became the nearest. That's how Kabila landed in Zimbabwe. He died there.
