See you in the next video!
The trail up the mountain is sooooo beautiful!!
It really is!!! But DAMN is it tiring to get up there! 🙈🙈🙃
Oh dang, you got some dance moves!
💯😎🔥🔥🔥🔥
I thoroughly enjoyed this video ! The scenery is wonderful. Thanks for all the work you did on this project. I tried to get Guinea pig in Cusco but they required a 24 hr notice and I only had that night . Good job Stef
Thanks Stephen! 😇🙏🏽 I appreciate your words! When I originally went on this trip, I wasn’t intending to get any footage for a RUclips video at the time😅 Just TikTok 🤪 But I did the best with the clips I did get during my trip to make this video so I’m glad you enjoyed this 😊
❤
😇
You and your brother look so much alike, except you look so much healthier (not as yellow😂).
Lovely video Stef, thanks for sharing!
Coca leaves/tea really worked well for me too to keep the altitude sickness at bay, I just wish someone could have told me that it is a very effective stimulant- I hardly slept during my time there.🦉
Haha you think? 😇 Aww, it makes me a little sad that he doesn’t look as healthy as me 😭 They be poisoning people in the U.S. imo 😞 I wish he lived here or we lived elsewhere where the food and environment is better for one’s health. He’s starting to take better care of himself now though. I believe the trip and my presence had a positive influence 🥳🙌🏽 He sees me aging like fine wine and doesn’t wanna get left behind 🤪
Also, the trek up to the lagoon gave me a tan! It was sooo sunny a good chunk of the day! I got a healthy brown glow now 😎🔥
And yes, coca tea is magical! It saved my brother! 🙌🏽💗 I was seriously so worried about him. Growing up, he was a “delicate child” in terms of health. Seems like that hasn’t changed 🙃
I hope to see a dolphin there one day. Feels like a rare sight! Also want to go sandboarding. Looks fun and not so dangerous given how soft the sand is.
Omg yes!!! It’s my DREAM to swim with dolphins in the wild someday 😍😍😍 We saw two or three dolphins that day! It was magical! The sand at the oasis is super soft! Not grainy at all.
@@StefsPeruTravelTips You're inspiring me to go to these places haha
@@pachabee That’s the intention 😎 There’s so much to do in Peru! 🔥
Even though the sand is soft, beware. When I was there a 20 something girl from Finland went down a much bigger dune, after they had done a medium size one and she never put her feet in the sand to slow down. Near the bottom she went face first into the sand and after she looked like she took a few punches in the face. Poor girl, and she had me video it for her 😂
@@cobra331a4 Ouch, that's rough!
Great video! I would have enjoyed the stuff you did! How long was the hike and at what altitude?
Reminds me of when we were in Cusco and I tried running up the stairs with the suitcase! Hahahah
Jimmy…. You gotta wait for my next video that gives you more info 🤓 I guess I’ll make an exception for you since we go way back 😉 It takes 2.5 to 3 hours to get up to the Lagoon.
Omg!!! Cusco was CRAZY!!!! The altitude there is so different from Huaraz 😅 More on that on a future video 😉
Idk if you should try running up any stairs at high altitude places anymore, Jimmy. We are not spring chickens anymore 🫠
Great video! Could you please share the name of the tour agency for your trip to Huacachina? Thank you!
Beautiful video, what is the distance of the hike up the mountain? Im coming to lima for 14 days in august , not this time but maybe the next i might try it. But im older and in similar shape to your brother, i might die 😋
But I did climb to the top of the highest dune at Huacachina, I got CPR twice I think.
@@cobra331a4 haha you’ve gotta wait til you get to watch my next three videos that cover the treks and altitude tips. From what you said though, I don’t think you’re physically fit to do these activities this time around. You’d need to get yourself in better physical condition to do it successfully and actually enjoy it 😇 It’s 7km up! It feels harder because of the altitude and terrain.
Hi would you be able to list approximate $$ prices for each thing ex. Tour, food etc. Also do you recommend ppl from U.S. do a $$ exchange & pay with usd or Soles.
Ty
I believe I discuss prices in other videos where I broke this trip down a bit, but thank you for bringing this to my attention. I will keep that in mind for future videos. Here you should pay in soles btw.
