To an observer from afar, it is easy to see what the problems with the Swedish economy are: too high taxes, too many regulations, too many people living on "bidrag" to mention just three. Why are these not flagged?
Is the Swedish economy doomed by the fact that perhaps a million unskilled individuals can not produce for as much as they cost to employ, in other words, are unemployable?
If the EU drove through the banking union, reduced regulations and advocated for lower taxation it would be possible to, rather accurately, predict improved economic growth.
Regardless of global outlooks and GDP growth - can the Swedish economy grow meaningfully with 1.5 million individuals, of working age, living on "bidrag"?
