Man, the delay config for pass thru is an amazing feature ! Exactly what I was looking for to solve my situation on a 5.000sqm location to sound. Thanks for the review
Yes.. bluetooth has more compression and does have the ability to have dropouts.. As the audio tech at EV said this past week at the Audio Symposium.. 'if you can run a wire, do it! you are assured a lot less problems if you don't need wireless'
I just got a pair of these just to test out. I may just keep them because in reality a DJ should have two sets of speakers. It looks like the software updates did fix some earlier issues. I also had Alto speakers and these are much better. For my purposes I need a subwoofer for my gigs. I just love bass. A bonus not often mentioned when you use a sub or two is that it allows for more power for the tops because the tops are not pushing that much bass. I would say easily twice the power to the tops or 3 to 6 db more output for the tops when they are crossover at say 100hz high pass. I also own the IRX and the PRX series. I am replacing my IRX with EON's most likely. For me it's a step up. EON's certainly win out when it comes to weight. The PRX are much heavier. However the PRX can push out more sound and are my best tops so far. I would say that my PRX12 matches up or is better than the QSC12. PRX wins sound quality, QSC better bass. I use my PRX when I know that my gig is going to need high output such as outdoors or a large room. It's a good series for JBL and worth the money. After testing the EON's, they are going to be used for lots of gigs. I will always use them most likely with a sub. I plan on using them for my smaller gigs or when I want to play music via bluetooth. For me they will make good monitor speakers, wedding speakers and corporate events. I will also use them for smaller crowds of say 50 people or so. They also make good 2nd room speakers for cocktail hour or wedding ceremony. Rock bands yes, DJs yes ... but look at how large your gigs are and how loud you need to get... To me the EON compares favorably with the EV ZLX line, Yamaha DBX line ... and other entry level lines ... It's got Harbinger, Rockville and Alto beat IMO ... The warranty is now 7 years ... Can you use 4 EON tops and match what two PRX tops can do? I think so ...
I started with two of these and then two months ago I bought two more I live in a rural area and have them in my garage that’s away from my house they are amazing the bass is incredible you can literally hear it a mile away at 25 percent volume on my phone and -5 decibel when I put my phone on max and speakers plus 20 you can’t even bare the bass it crazy I didn’t believe my neighbors until I went to one of there houses about a mile away and it raddles there house like a earthquake
I bought one of these for preaching on the street. To be honest I struggle to get volume out of it ad compared to my 10 year alto TS212. And that is with the decibels up and with channel and master volume up I am planning to return it as I can get a used Alto 2500 watt for $200 less than I paid.
there are some many ways to bring up the volume.. and it doesn't feel intuitive on how to adjust for max sound pressure.. I had that same concern and decided they were not for our use.
@@discjockeynews when you say struggled getting volume out of them, do you mean it not being as loud? I'm planning on using them for medium sized venue parties for djing any advice on how to gauge if it might be good for me?
Im looking for a powered monitor to use strictly for bass guitar. Its for a venue that has a very small stage, and my amp is facing the back of my knees lol, and I cant hear it unless I turn it up, which our sound man hates. I do have a tube preamp pedal I use. Will this give me enough bass?
There is no security on the bluetooth. If someone connects to it, they have full control. I've looked into every-way to disconnect/disable/turn off the bluetooth.
