Watase died a few times in alternate realities while I suddenly had to swap into Protect The President mode. Also the remix of the Omi theme made me super happy.
I'm surprised RGG didn't just copy and paste Kiryu's introduction in LAD onto Gaiden. They actually showed the Omi Feast from Kiryu's perspective instead of Ichiban's.

The lighting in the scene makes it so much better than in 7, like they could've just used the scene from 7 but decided "fuck it, make the lighting better" and its great, we actually get to see what a non-jrpg fight looks like from 7

This Han Joon Gi is not the original Han Joon Gi from Yakuza 6 (He is shot to the head by Hirose). it's his body double goes by the name Yeonsu Kim a Jingweon Mafia defector like Nishitani 3 and Seonhee, goes to show after the death of the original Han Joon Gi and the collapse of the Jingweon Mafia in Yakuza 6, Yeonsu decided to become "Han Joon Gi" body double and decided to join Geomijiul that consist Jingweon Mafia Defector led by Seonhee and become his captain of the Geomijiul
First playthrough: Played on Standard, maxed out attack and +2000 attack with gear so I went through the first part quickly before knowing Watase needed to be protected. Second playthrough: Played on Professional, no upgrades to attack and +800 attack with gear and got a game over because I still didn't know Watase needed to be protected.
This Joryu mistakem as Kiryu reminded me,that there's a fake Kiryu in colosseum. Unfortunately Joryu can't recruit the fake Kiryu for his clan, but he got fake Ryuji at least.

I only noticed when he was at low health and then I was protecting him, managed to keep him safe luckily.

It's much shorter than the average long fight and there's eventually a boss type so I decided to label it a boss fight.
