    Quads are arguably the most adaptable single muscle in the body. Greater than chest, even greater than arms. In fact, I've never seen anyone that trains quads consistently not change them significantly. Even tall lanky guys can develop thick contoured quads -- but not calves -- which is where they differ the most dramatically.

    • @thunkjunk
      @thunkjunk Год назад

      Train calves every day. Unless they hurt, train them. I fit them in between heavy sets on push days and pull days as a break for my upper body. I had sticks a year ago and now I absolutely stand out from just about every guy at the gym because people don't train them enough. Don't walk by a calve machine without getting on there and doing some full range of motion reps.

    When you suggest more sets or reps would you also suggest keeping the # of exercises in a workout lower like 3 or 4 and juat putting the hammer down on all of them.
    Or juat the last 1 or 2 exercises?

    I do 20 reps 6 sets on leg extensions and last 10 each set burn like the gates of hell! Better burn or you're not doing it right. Make sure it's 8-10 controlled and slow and burning or 20 like me but slow an controlled and burning like you can't help but let out any noise to alleviate the sheer shock that the pain is sending through the body. I hate leg day but love the results. I have decent legs from my method.

    When you do these really high rep sets what weight would you use? I like to do pyramid style increase weight every set type thing. Where would i add in super high reps. My max squat is 305 lb at the moment. Would i drop the weight down to like 225 and rep that? Or lower?

    • @Jason32Bourne
