From blockading roads, disrupting events and using extreme language to scare young people, climate change warriors across the globe are on a mission to force their message down the throats of everyone by any means necessary, and they won’t be stopped.

I was big on the Ecology movement in the '70's. We planted trees, picked up trash, helped wash animals and birds that got into crude oil spills. These people are doing absolutely NOTHING but bother innocent people!

But you can't stop big petrol. It is a multibillion dollar industry and there is a billion customers using the product.
We are also using it, whether it is gasoline, diesel, plastics, medicine and as an energy source to make NH3, HNO3, KNO3 and more.
I think very few countries can switch to alternative energy sources.
In Quebec, we have a lot of hydro power so there is a strong push to switch to electric cars.
The price of electricity is something like 0.07$kWh while other places, it is 0.40 and in some cases, over 1.00$.
Quebec doesn't have any petrol fields.
The only province that is backwards, conservative, thinking is Alberta where they have lots of petrol.
And everything you did makes perfect sense. These people have been scammed and refuse to think for themselves.

What I hate to see is that security at different places in today's world is totally useless. You can go in, vandalize, damage property and all the response you'll get from the security is "can you pleeeeeease stop that?".
Man, I was I on a cruise ship a year ago and there was a slight situation in a bar of a drunk guy behaving inappropriately - after a while, a couple of security guards (like 1.8-1.9m tall, 110kg+ muscular) came in, without talking slammed the drunk guy on to the ground, cuffed him and carried him away. Now that is how you deal with intruders, vandals etc.

I’m an analytical chemist working with issues regarding environmental chemistry.
Climate, environment, nature etc. are important to me. And I always advocate a way of life that is ”green”. Recycle, avoid plastics if possible and so on… but I have never wanted to join any activist movement because of their too often weird behavior.
It feels like they are too secterian.

Destroying a work of art, bullying people who are trying to get to work and generally disrupting life for others are not the actions of someone who cares about anything. They are the acts of people who have anti-social tendencies and have found an excuse to act on them.
Ironically, many of these 'activists" attend Ivy League schools-who have huge investment portfolios in the oil and gas industries.
It's just so depressing to see hordes of physically able young people who could be doing something useful or raising family, ideally both, screaming pointlessly at nobody.

Everything CRUMBLES when you are living in a FANTASY
In the UK, the award for play stupid games and earn stupid prizes went to some nuts that crazy glued their faces to the road. When the police forcibly removed them they all screamed like possessed banshees because they left little bits of their face on the road. That held the title for quite some time until 5 of these dumbasses decided to glue their hands to the floor on a VW dealership. The 5 waited until the glue cured before realizing nobody brought food, water and most important of them all, a bucket to serve as a toilet. When the 5 asked dealership employees for these items, the response was shutting off all the lights and locking the main door.
They cut off the heat too I think.

Summary of the car story, happened in Germany, glued themselves when the showroom is introducing something or so, the management allows them to do so and not call the police to remove them, everyone back to their stuff ignoring the preach. After a while they demand food drink ans toilet, management refuse, they called for food delivery, the deliver got block from accessing the building as no one working there was calling for food. And then they all come home after 5 or 6 as usual, with all lights and heat turn off. And the one who got a bit of bonus is the janitor
It also helps that the key people who are organizing and managing these groups are paid by wealthy individuals who are steering the ideology.

You do when people are foolish, dense and uneducated about the matter.
Please tell them to turn off the gas or heating oil to their house, stop using cell phones and computers. Do not drive a car, use public transit or fly. Do not wear any clothing made out of synthetic material, stop using anything made out of plastic and stop taking the majority of available life saving medications. These transitions take time and we have to be patient. Let us focus on world peace.

Right? If they were genuinely concerned, clean up litter and plant trees. But harassing others and acting like little authoritarians while claiming to be caring and virtuous is not doing anyone or the planet anything worthwhile. It’s indulgent and idiotic.

They are so gullible. If carbon was the main culprit there would have been a sharp rise compared to the previous decade in global temperature during and a few years after WW2, when the amount of carbon emissions sky rocketed to fuel the military transport and other equipment. But it didn’t. Same thing with WW1. Then there are the ice caps breaking off. Ice floats in water so no rise in sea levels from that and it can take weeks to years to melt while some of it evaporates as well. That doesn’t cause a significant rise in sea levels in the vast ocean waters.
I saw a British gentleman address students. He pointed out that even if their protesting resulted in Great Britain producing 0 carbon emissions it would have zero effect on "climate change". He suggested that there energies would be better spent studying science and engineering to develop technical solutions for the world. This of course is not the route these idiots would take. It's much easier to complain about a problem than take on a STEM education.
