The Sims 4 Midwestern Family Home with Basement Stop Motion | No CC
Hello!
A few people have asked me why I never build homes with basements and honestly I just see it at as another floor to decorate, usually with little function. This build I decided to build a realistic midwestern type home with 3 bedrooms 2 bathrooms, a child centered backyard and a basement. Most gameplay is on the main floor, but the laundry is in the basement with a few other things.
This lot is a 30x20 and was built on Potter's Splay In Willow Creek. Please enable bb.moveobjects right before placing. It is always best to place builds while on the lot and not from the world view.

I know the hvac and boiler have been mentioned a few times, but can I also add that when I saw the fireplace grate I legit stopped chewing (snack timeand RUclips, name a more iconic duo) and ogled. So simple... so perfect! It's these little details I live for!

That basement is a perfect Midwest basement, right down to the water heater!
Thank you. Midwest born and raised till age 10, but our basement was pretty creepy with one of those old Octopus furnaces.

Omg, I love this so much and the story...I can see the a whole story of a couple maybe meeting in college and falling in love and building their life. Soooooo adorable. Midwesterner here, I can confirm that this house is an accurate portrayal! It almost makes me a little homesick, as I’m living far from the Midwest currently. I can’t wait to play in it!

Im in love with the basement and the bathroom. Looks and feels real. I never get tired of playing your houses. And they are all placed beside each other. Yet i don't feel like it's from just one builder.

Your builds are usually so thoroughly wholesome that whenever I forget what channel I'm watching and I see the start of a basement, I'm like "oooh what's it gonna be? Drugs? Something murder-y? Cannibalism?

This is the first video from your channel I've ever watched and I just had to point out how unique this stop motion is! I'm grateful you included frames of you flipping the items into place, it isn't something I've seen done before and offers a lot of insight into your creative thinking! What a treat to watch! This is one of the most realistic small-ish builds I have seen from you. The realism is phenomenal. I need this in my game. I'll have to create a family especially for this build. On long life span. Cuzz yeah.

I live in wisconsin which is in the midwest and most basements ive been in are rec rooms unlike concrete basements
I lived in Wisconsin and Illinois - what you're talking about is a finished basement vs. an unfinished basement - underneath the flooring & walls of the rec room is concrete. Some houses have finished basements, some don't - I always lived in houses with an unfinished basement much like the one in this video =)

Homely and packed with skill building for the Sims 👍🏼. Such a detailed build, little details.... looked like you had a Sneek peek in my basement 🤣. The boiler is just ace or the plunger in the bathroom , those make the build very realistic 👌🏼. Love the little work/desk space in the kitchen or the platform plant border 🌾🤌🏼. So handy to have the mod tool. If console players could use it too. Super build 🤩

Interesting that you choose willow creek for a Midwestern-style home. Most people go with something from the south or, more specifically, Louisiana.
I'm a rebel LOL - That's probably because that's what Willow Creek looks like, but the build can be placed anywhere - I honestly built it there because I haven't built on that lot before and Southern style builds aren't really my favorite.
The only think that could’ve made this build feel more realistic is a broken air hockey table in the basement
