After a couple of years of disappointment with Sims 4 I finally just reinstalled Sims 3 and was promptly reminded how laggy the gameplay was but these fixes made a huge difference- thank you so much!!! I enjoyed multiple hours of gameplay hahaha (something that can rarely be said for Sims 4)

The only reason why I don’t play it that much anymore is only because it crashes EVERY time I play! It doesn’t even lag that much, but the crashes are killing me. I save every 5-15 minutes...
For everyone struggling with the sims 3 dashboard you need to click file on the left hand corner and click what folder you want it to go through in this case click your mods folder.

OMG Your sims 3 launcher loaded so quickly. mine takes like 2-3 mins. i tried downloading the sims 3 dashboard but it didn't come as a file it had like a empty page :( no file. this is so frustrating hahaha :( GREAT Video tho you explained perfectly. just it so confusing cux i have a mac.
hmmmm ok maybe then search sims 3 dashboard mod the sims for Mac and see if an alternative for Mac comes up. my bf has a mac so I will ask him to try download it and see what happens and hopefully we can figure out a solution for you ♡♡♡
You can't. You are supposed to have Sims 3 on PC or laptop. Otherwise if its laggy on your android or apple you probably have to delete some photos and/or apps to get some more space.
The computer I'm using has just a built in intel gpu, so I did that part a bit different. But you lead me to do some research for more details about people with intel core graphics, so thanks.

For anyone having trouble with the Sims 3 dashboard coming up empty you have to go to the top left, click file, go to EA, Sims 3, and open and it'll fill out.
In case you’re wondering whether adjusting the 3d settings actually works, IT DOES. It sped up loading of my game by 2 minutes. Not a miracle but…better.
omg I never knew any of this thank you so much! I went and followed what you did, all I did was delete my files and it runs much faster. Takes only a minuet not even to load now instead of five minuets and game play runs faster too, so thank you so much!

@@violetsdiary__ Nope, sorry if your laptop or computer only has Intel HD Graphics that means that its only good for work instead of gaming. With Intel HD Graphics there isn't much you can do. If you plan on buying a new laptop or computer and want to run games better, you should find something with an Intel HD Graphics card and, NVIDIA.
Nice video. Tip: Here I write a batch script to delete these package files, and launch the game in the last line. I'm using it as a shortcut for the game in my desktop.

Hey everyone love that video I’ve got so many tips from it but my Sims three program is still running extremely slow this happened when I put some new cc into it. I’ve tried everything but I am now going to look at the bad cc which could be in my game. But I still don’t understand how to get the files into that program can somebody please help me? I know this is late but I'm glad if I got an answer, the cache things you told us to remove my has .package next to them, like: ScriptCache.package Should I delete these?
Yes. Mine where also .package files. Cached data in the EA folder is .package, though in the video, her setup is different where you can see the file format on the right-hand side, saying PACKAG- 2:18 I deleted these files, and my game is working great. Hope this helps :)

ya now i never EVER download anything from the exchange because of the bad cc problem. i actually still have that vampire bad cc that came with this sim that i didnt download that came with alot of glitches that i can't delete and its so annoying and its still in my game now
Wow this is more indepth than i expected. I didn’t know there were so many options. I lowered all my in game graphics settings and it actually made everything lag more... glad i came here!
So I cleared my cc and only some of it was left... not all :( I don't know how to get it back and the sad thing is that i had over 200 downloads , but only about 50 left...please help!
Ok. you must not have saved your cc within the mods folder. the only way to get cc back is to look into your recycle bin. I would suggest downloading the mods folder and putting it in there. however if you have deleted your files without following the steps your chances of getting the cc back with out downloading it again is low. you have to follow all the steps. :( check your recycle bin!
I have a question and im just seeing this now, but i have the kind of glitch for babies where they become an ungodly mess and i was trying to read up old articles back in 2013 on how to fix them and mentioning something about deleting some of the DCBackup stuff not all of them but just some that are affecting the game? i was wondering if that still works today if i still have the glitch by deleting all of the DCBackup files except that one file ? i dont want to risk of breaking my game cause i have a old windows 7, thanks.
The very first thing she does is a bad idea. Do not just outright delete all your custom content files. Always back up your files first. (Save them on a USB drive or something similar.) You never know when you might be needing those files again. THEN you can safely delete the files from the launcher.
Since having to reinstall my game and expansions, all my Mods are disabled. I have no way to enable them again. Does anyone know how to enable all the mods disabled in the Mods folder?
When you state about deleting files with cache at the end, does the ones with cache.package count? I have at least four that are similar to the ones you mentioned in the video but have . package at the end. I am just wondering if those are safe to delete or should I just leave them?
I did this. Saw that many others did it too. But I did it and now a majority of my custom content in CAS is gone. Didn’t even check my furniture yet. I’m very upset. Jokes on me, I guess.

CIARA in the main part of the application where the files should be showing. if you have a big blank box the files are not there and that is where you to it click
I don't get how to uses the Sims3 Dashboard I installed it placed it into my sims 3 mods folder nothing happened even put it on my desktop nothing happened idk what I need to do.
I have AMD Radeon graphics and I don't have a lot of the setting options you did. I don't have and I also don't have anything in my downloads. And yet my game, mostly just build/buy, mode is sooooo laggy. Also I have Delphy's custard so do I also have to downlaod the dashboard? I find custard annoying b/c you can\ only check one CC at a time, so when I go on CC binges and download like 200 things at one time I just end up spot checking things. Should I get rid of Delphy and use the Dashboard instead?
I did almost everything of what you did on the video except the last part with the 3d manager 'cause I didn't have it and it didn't work for me. I didn't find any troubling files at the first step too everything was good and smooth but not in the game (tried it) and still has this annoying freezing for some seconds and then again
To anyone reading this in the future, use the sims 3 dashboard BEFORE you delete the files from the launcher! Deleting them from the launcher only leaves bin files, which the sims 3 dashboard doesn't meticulously go through as it would separate sims3 files.
@@TenanyeNiamh but if I delete the downloaded files from the launcher, yes, it leaves them in-game, but it deletes the separate sims3 files. It merges them into one big file. I needed the sims3 files to remain separate.
I don't have internet on my computer (stupid straight talk won't let me make my phone a wifi hotspot oof), so I download the mod on my phone, then send it to my computer by plugging my phone into it using the usb port. I think I'm gonna have to do that with this mod, cuase my game is just TOO SLOW lol. Edit: hmmm if it gives me multiple files it's gonna be hard. *sighs* I hate straight talk.
I followed all the instructions in this video. Then tried to run my game. The loading screen was back with a purple stripe across the bottom. Then went to where I load saved game and the application crashed. I think I'll have to reinstall everything now.
at the 3d manage part do you know how to remove a program? I notice in my deviceconfig that the game doesn't recognize the video card. There was instructions to go into c drive, programs files 86, ea folder, bin and add ts3w.exe. I did a mistake by going into manage 3d setting choose a program and selected sims 3 ( ts3.exe )...So know I can't remove the two that I added, the remove option is grayed out
Ohh so once you download it you can delete it and it will still be in the game? I want to make sure of this before I actually do it so nothing gets lost.

My game lags so bad to the point where its almost impossible to play and I’ve tried do some stuff but it’s so confusing to me all I can do is pray that when it loads it doesn’t lag because even when the ea thing is loading up it still lags I don’t know what to do
CAS will always be a little slow depending on your level of cc versus your computer specs for instance I use a TB secondary drive and it still runs a little slow

for me the issue was that i had hundreds of items in my sims inventory for alchemy lmao
(for example, mushrooms, apples etc 100x from the grocery)

In my Sims 3 files, the Cache files all say Cache.package, for example scriptCache.package, is it still okay to delete it from the files? 😳

ya now i never EVER download anything from the exchange because of the bad cc problem. i actually still have that vampire bad cc that came with this sim that i didnt download that came with alot of glitches that i can't delete and its so annoying and its still in my game now
IAmEverything oh God. that is terrible. I stopped downloading from the exchange in sims 2 and never went back. I had that stretched sim glitch.

So I cleared my cc and only some of it was left... not all :( I don't know how to get it back and the sad thing is that i had over 200 downloads , but only about 50 left...please help!
Ok. you must not have saved your cc within the mods folder. the only way to get cc back is to look into your recycle bin. I would suggest downloading the mods folder and putting it in there. however if you have deleted your files without following the steps your chances of getting the cc back with out downloading it again is low. you have to follow all the steps. :( check your recycle bin!

I have a question and im just seeing this now, but i have the kind of glitch for babies where they become an ungodly mess and i was trying to read up old articles back in 2013 on how to fix them and mentioning something about deleting some of the DCBackup stuff not all of them but just some that are affecting the game? i was wondering if that still works today if i still have the glitch by deleting all of the DCBackup files except that one file ? i dont want to risk of breaking my game cause i have a old windows 7, thanks.

The very first thing she does is a bad idea. Do not just outright delete all your custom content files. Always back up your files first. (Save them on a USB drive or something similar.) You never know when you might be needing those files again.
THEN you can safely delete the files from the launcher.

Since having to reinstall my game and expansions, all my Mods are disabled. I have no way to enable them again. Does anyone know how to enable all the mods disabled in the Mods folder?

When you state about deleting files with cache at the end, does the ones with cache.package count? I have at least four that are similar to the ones you mentioned in the video but have . package at the end. I am just wondering if those are safe to delete or should I just leave them?

I don't get how to uses the Sims3 Dashboard I installed it placed it into my sims 3 mods folder nothing happened even put it on my desktop nothing happened idk what I need to do.
So for the sims 3 dashboard are you suppose to stick it in the sims folder and if so what folder in the sims folders are you suppose to put it in?

I have AMD Radeon graphics and I don't have a lot of the setting options you did. I don't have and I also don't have anything in my downloads. And yet my game, mostly just build/buy, mode is sooooo laggy. Also I have Delphy's custard so do I also have to downlaod the dashboard? I find custard annoying b/c you can\ only check one CC at a time, so when I go on CC binges and download like 200 things at one time I just end up spot checking things. Should I get rid of Delphy and use the Dashboard instead?
I did almost everything of what you did on the video except the last part with the 3d manager 'cause I didn't have it and it didn't work for me. I didn't find any troubling files at the first step too everything was good and smooth but not in the game (tried it) and still has this annoying freezing for some seconds and then again
To anyone reading this in the future, use the sims 3 dashboard BEFORE you delete the files from the launcher! Deleting them from the launcher only leaves bin files, which the sims 3 dashboard doesn't meticulously go through as it would separate sims3 files.
Just fyi you can re route the dashboard to the folder at which you leave your files in. 🤗🤗 super easy and simple.
@@TenanyeNiamh but if I delete the downloaded files from the launcher, yes, it leaves them in-game, but it deletes the separate sims3 files. It merges them into one big file. I needed the sims3 files to remain separate.

Hi on my files it has .package at the end. For example, CASPartCache.package when yours just says CASPartCache can I still delete mine?
I don't have internet on my computer (stupid straight talk won't let me make my phone a wifi hotspot oof), so I download the mod on my phone, then send it to my computer by plugging my phone into it using the usb port. I think I'm gonna have to do that with this mod, cuase my game is just TOO SLOW lol.
Edit: hmmm if it gives me multiple files it's gonna be hard. *sighs* I hate straight talk.

I followed all the instructions in this video. Then tried to run my game. The loading screen was back with a purple stripe across the bottom. Then went to where I load saved game and the application crashed. I think I'll have to reinstall everything now.
at the 3d manage part do you know how to remove a program? I notice in my deviceconfig that the game doesn't recognize the video card. There was instructions to go into c drive, programs files 86, ea folder, bin and add ts3w.exe. I did a mistake by going into manage 3d setting choose a program and selected sims 3 ( ts3.exe )...So know I can't remove the two that I added, the remove option is grayed out

Still Adorbz it should be in dc backup in your Sims 3 folder not your mods folder.

My game lags so bad to the point where its almost impossible to play and I’ve tried do some stuff but it’s so confusing to me all I can do is pray that when it loads it doesn’t lag because even when the ea thing is loading up it still lags I don’t know what to do

I deleted cache and the cc in the launcher, and I think my game is going a LITTLE faster, but it's still slow in CAS...
CAS will always be a little slow depending on your level of cc versus your computer specs for instance I use a TB secondary drive and it still runs a little slow
