MNMNT it's true. The sims 3 had a lot of potential but had a lot of issues that really frustrates us. Sims 2 may have a lot of detailed things and less issues, but the sims u can say are weird looking to me. The sims 4 is cartoony and unrealistic and I know there are cc to make them realistic. It's sad to know that the company doesn't fix these issues.
hi! I know this is an old video, but I just wanted to say thank you. My household with 11 sims was unplayable, but now its smooth. Barely any lag anymore! Thank you!!!
I think it goes like this: I noticed that main lag comes from loading items. Every time your camera is near the lot, it loads all items and everything as individual objects. The more items and lots, the bigger the lag. I have made a custom world with hundreds of thousands of foliage items. But lots are empty. No lag in game, not even FPS drop. If I filled this world with lots, it would be unplayable. Weak point for computers regarding this game is storage drive. SSD is a MUST for TS3, don't even think about running this game well with mechanical drive. More RAM and better CPU is very required as well, but any newer tech today should do the trick as this game is old. I recommend running TS3 with more then 4 GB RAM. And again, install your game on SSD!! No matter how much you clean up, lag will happen and it is engine problem. Not easily fixable. Even my gaming rig struggles, but not raw FPS is problematic, loading, animations stopping and stuttering is. Vsync is also poorly implemented. Engine needs to be thrown out the window and remade, just like they did with TS4. Still, that game has no open worlds and it is less graphically taxing, so I have no idea how TS4s engine would behave in that scenario. And people, don't expect running this with cheap laptops....
@xRanway I see what you mean. But it does not make sense that game is set to use only that amount of memory.... Even for 2009 when that game came out. I will try it, but I doubt problems will stop there. I thought game is set to use up to 4GB of Video Memory. I changed 4 GPUs during the lifetime of TS3. But biggest positive impact for performance was when I put the game on SSD.
@xRanway I think that that what is in graphicsrules file, is the minimum amount of VRAM game can use, isn't it? I still believe that main problem is storage and maybe CPU bound. This is my theory. Custom worlds can have tens or even hundreds of thousands of foliage and decorative objects. I made an empty world myself and I put thousands upon thousands of them. Those objects are there just to fill the void, just to decorate. They have 0 to very little impact to performance. They'd probably still use more then 32 megs. They don't render, they are already rendered. They are just drawn by a GPU and stays there. They are non interactive. Lots, items and even sims, on the other hand, are interactive. And game needs to do more then just load how they look. And all of those are in world file. I think game compresses and decompresses interactive stuff constantly. Even clothing. I'm no expert, just stating what I think. And I'm not here to argue as you have first hand experience. But that's my theory.
your last sentence was rude and wrong. i have a cheap laptop (350€ lenovo 2017) and it runs smoothly. we do need to stop shoving gbs of cc into our games tho
8 mins into the video and i can feel this already, I used to play sims 3 with no expansion packs to island paradise + high end loft stuff, it never lagged too much and i could play for a long time. However recently i got every expansion and both my sim AND my family inventory got filled in an instant, she also happened to be a celebrity and she constantly got items to both her inventory AND the family inventory. Now i know why my save file crashed with her. Weirdly enough when i did trips to china with her i didn't have any lag in china, i was already thinking about moving out but i didn't think the save file would get corrupted before i even lost my first sim. Thanks for the guide, i want to see the modded version as well though >_>
Thank you so much for this, I’ve done this cleaning process 3-4 times for each family and they all worked tremendously. Although for one of my families I’ve skipped the first step (the part where you say to put stuff in your inventory on the lot and evict your family and save them) my brain wasn’t working right apparently lol, but luckily nothing glitched. But I don’t recommend anyone do what I did because stuff in inventories can glitch. Don’t be like me lol. But thanks for this deep cleaning. :)
I hope this video is helpful for you. This is my ultimate secret to how I get such a stable game. Mods can do a lot, and that will be my next topic, but cleaning and caring for your game will get you much farther. You may think cleaning your game is silly but it has enabled me to have 20-30 sims in a single household and create a lot of different families that have a lot going on. I know this video is a bit long but there is a lot of important information and an in-depth guide on how to clean your game. There are certain ways you have to do things and there is a lot that can go wrong. Believe me, I've done this wrong before and had such problems. This is the culmination of 5 years of expertise and experimentation.
girl you just made my game have like no lag! ive been playing the sims 3 for years and always of had lag. you just saved me and made my game playable! thank you
Thank you for putting this video back up. It has been a lifesaver (or more like a game saver) for me. Would be interested in seeing the mod video if you ever decide to post it. Not sure you will since this video is almost 3 years old and you probably have other content planned.
i wish this video existed like 3 years ago when i upgraded my pc :/ the move caused all my saves to corrupt i feel like doing some of this could've help...some of those files were families back to 2012 it hurt to say goodbye
Thank you sooo very much! I have literally the lowest-end laptop, I did all this process and now it makes it run totally smooth, not even joking (as much as the pc allows at least)
Would it be possible for you to write out the steps? I’m having a hard time to follow but it looks like it’d help so much!!! Thank you thank you thank you in advance!!!!
I am glad you made this video. Most people think because sims 4 is out no cares about the problems i sims 3. I play the sims 3 an all the videos i find are out dated. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO.
Thank you so much! Although I don't have a backup for the downloads step I bypass the launch so I don't really mind that part. But otherwise thanks my game is so much smoother, it froze literally every 20 seconds and and after doing this it does stutter like you showed in the video but it doesn't freeze every 20 seconds anymore. I will certainly use this again in the future and will recommend it to anyone who had the same issue as me or a similar issue as I did. And please DO NOT skip any steps shown in this video!
I also backup my savefile, delete TS3 folder from my documents, copy the savefile back, reinstall .pack files (just bunch of cars and a few worlds, including Sims store ones), copy my mod folder back and playing again. No need for complicated cleaning of each folder. I also keep my mods and CC in manageable amounts: just some game altering mods, a few skins, a bunch of cars and towns in .pack format and that's it. For different sivefiles, I usually alternate only two saves. Saves up space, because TS3 folder can get HUGE. Totally agree with Sim inventories. Especially when you have stuff from WA. Also agree about doing backups of family and house separately. Could not agree more with downloading and saving store items. No need to redownload them, still, I prefer using them as little as possible .
@@macy9337 My documents/Electronic Arts/Sims3/Downloads. They appear in this folder. You can install them, then you go to this folder, press ctrl+a and cut. Then paste them in separate folder, which you can access easily and which won't get lost.
Can confirm that this worked like a charm for me. In addition to the pointers in the vid I also now run a FPS limiter (RivaTuner) in the background as the game can tend to overshoot FPS which in itself can cause stutter. I also use NRAAS mods - overwatch & error trap to clean out the world once every sim day and monitor & reset stuck townies/npcs etc causing havoc. Before doing a clean & tweak the game was painfully unplayable with lag, afterwards it now feels buttery smooth 99% of the time with some minor microstutter every now and then. Have all the expansions + all store content, no CC or other mods though (for those wondering and who may want to give it a shot too). Thank you Gigi :)
I'm so glad to hear that this worked out for you! I've been thinking about a frame limiter myself. Sims 3 was never meant to run at 60fps and I wonder if the game will run even better at 30fps.
@@gigisneckofthewoods it runs pretty good on 30fps for me 👍😁 would love to hear your experience if you give it a test, I don't play half as much as I'd like to 🙈
Loved this video! I'd love to see a video explaining what mods you use in your game to fix the common bugs/glitches! You give me chaotic sims obsessed energy and i love it, 'cause same lmao
There was one thing I found that fixed up my whole Sims 3 experience. It was extremely tedious and I avoided doing it for a long time because I'm lazy and like things easy. But, once I did this, the whole game became playable. What? I converted and merged all my sims3packs to packages. Each merged file was less than 200 MB. (I use a lot of CC.) Once I did that, I started seeing things I hadn't seen in years. Not only would 1024 maps with 50+ sims run very smoothly, but I could fit in a LOT more CC. The sims all had their tags. All the NRaas stuf started working flawlessly. I would definitely suggest doing this, and then doing the things recommended here. It's also much easier to add/subtract items. Good stuf, thanks Gigi.
I find that pausing the game before going into buy/build helps quite a bit. Also go for specific categories not the one were you see everything that you have in build/buy mode.
I'm installing mods so I can have more sims, I love to adopt ALL horses in the game and slowly train and sell them (sometimes get some foals) to get profit every time I get a horse XD
I appreciate you and that you took the time to outline what you do to make your game smooth. I wish more simmers would do this because we gotta stick together. Thank you again!
I’ve never thought about playing 20 sim households... but I’m smitten by the idea seeing you play that way. Thanks for the inspiration to try a new play style.
ah for the love of plumbob! let me re-phrase that 😀~ Sims 4 is a facelift, botoxed resurrect of Sims 3 which is on life support. Sims 2 is un*for*gettable and the cut tree which bore fruits that still give. Sims 1? It was a magic seedling that got lost under the soil somewhere. ~* *moment of silence for the sequel**~ 🧘♀️
Ok so I have a two questions, excuse me if these are a bit dumb: 1. Was this video assuming that you only play on one world? If so, do I have to do this with every single world/save file I have? Cuz I have multiple worlds with different families in them. 2. Do I have to do the cleaning inventory and evicting family process with EVERY family I play as, or only my active household? (this is assuming you also don't have to do it with the families that come with each world?)
1. This would need to be for every save you play that you are wanting to do the deep clean on. Might as well do them all at the same time since the final steps are create a brand new Sims 3 folder and reinstall your mods and CC. At least the ones you care about. 2. You would need to do it to every family that you actively play as you know their inventories and their family inventory is going to be full. If you have a save that's been in the world for several generations, it probably wouldn't hurt to pick a few random long time families and check their inventory situations just to make sure they aren't carrying a boat load of items that have accumulated over generations as the game will give a dying Sim's inventory to someone else. Might also be worth just moving that family to a new save as well - family tree of that neighborhood is bound to be huge, especially if you use a Story Progression mod. If you're unsure on what it would do, you can always take a back up of your current Sims 3 folder before you start the process. That way if you mess something up, you can just replace the back up and start over or not.
I love sims 3 but I am not gonna lie, it's problems made me low key hate it at some point. 4 was better for me in the sense that 99 percent of bugs never seemed to apply to me, so it all kind of worked. I also just liked the items in 4 better, meaning I needed less cc. I do get however that this game should have been epic and this these tips might just make me give it another go :D
I love how in the video the game is still lagging a lot 😂 The Sims 3 is my favorite sims, but too much time consuming and also stressful. Are the Sims 4 stressful sometimes? Yes. But no where near the Sims 3. The amount of lagging is so sad. Thanks for the vídeo. Just wish EA would do a good job at least once.
I did mention in the video that this was before I cleaned the game. Of course it is going to lag before you clean it. Really bad lag is a sign it should be cleaned.
8-1-20 and I just reinstalled all my expansion packs and my stuff cd's back on my PC. I remember Island Paradise being my fav. I played last night for a couple of hours and it's lagging big time and now it freezes every ten seconds or so. Not playable at this point. I may try what you suggest. I was in love with this game and got almost all the expansion packs. The graphics are terrible and the freezing is still there no matter what I do. I had to manually go in and type in what graphics card I have and it worked but I don't remember the game being this bad. GTA and RDR runs great on my PC but I still to this day cannot get this to work properly. And this game is the one I care most about. Such a shame. I was expecting it to be amazing - after all my upgrades to my PC and it can't even handle it. I don't know anymore.
This helped SO MUCH! I just download MC Mod and have had so many glitches even though I just reinstalled all my sims games on a brand new computer. I may not use this mod but before that my game never lagged and ran so smooth!💛

Just started Playing with TS3 again, and oh my god, I NEVER KNEW HOW MUCH I MISSED IT!! LITERALLY cannot gat bored, with TS4 I can't relate, I've tried, but without a ton of mods it's just, MEH (and even with them, after a little you just close the game). No one can tell me that TS3 isn't the best thing we ever got. We were supposed to have an upgrade with Sims4, so WHYYYY??
Sims 4 runs better on laptops or lower end pcs. No issues and no lagging I have 486 mods on 4 and it’s smooth as butter. 3 mods plus vice city on sims 3 and it is snail like.
@@desertrose1226 The point is that you don’t need mods on ts3, because it’s a COMPLETE game on it’s own, evenly just the base. You know editing exists right? Most creators just edit stuff like that out. The footage in this video is BEFORE I did cleaning. Also, everyone's game is different. There are people like me who have no problems and their are people who have nothing but problems. Mods also fix a lot of issues with the game and make it run smoother.

The game doesn't use enough RAM. It only uses 2GB even with newer computers (because it's not patched for newer comps). You can go into game/bin find the .ini file and increase the amount of ram the game uses. I increased it to 4 gb and it's a brand new game.

Yeah, it is notoriously difficult to get it to work on Windows 10. I would like to play Sims 2 but I don't think I have the time right now to troubleshoot it.
I'm a little confused😅 (I've watched this a thousand times btw so im probably just dumb not skipping anything aight) >empty household inventory and sims' inventory >place everything on lot >evict family >save both family and lot to library... Then what? (I'm ignoring the save as & documents/file deleting part cos I've seen that around and I've been doing it already^^)
I don't play large family, thats why it never happened to me like huge glich and lags. But I clean my folders still. I actually just backup my ddcache, library, mods, saves and installed world folders because i don't really like downloading again in launcher. If time comes i can't open my game its time for cleanup. But thankfully the last time i cleanup was already months, my game running consistently okay. I just clean caches and junks in world cache folder because its always bloating. And I always check my mods if there is any corrupt file by using delphy dashboars tool.
I downloaded the steam pack with all expansions and i'm so overwhelmed. A few people on reddit also got it this week. And now my game is lagging. I try not to use mods too. I wish I could turn off some of the expansions. I had some time traveler that wouldn't leave and zombies ate my money trees. I almost wish I stuck with the base game :(
I've lost 3 families in total to random corrupt save files for TS3 which honestly I'm not that bothered by in general. Literally just yesterday I uninstalled sims 4 from my laptop as I was tired of lack of content even with all the packs I had, plus honestly it would be 30 minutes of loading screens before I could play and even then it would still lag and just be a horrible experience
I used to back up my store content, but if I wanted to use it all later the launcher wouldn't let me install it. Even with a clean folder. Happened more than once :/ That doesn't bode well in the future if the sims 3 site were ever to go down..
Did you happen to download the new files for 1.69? All the store content got updated with the game for 1.69. If you have old content the game won't let you install it because it is not the right patch number.
@@gigisneckofthewoods hi Gigi thanks for your reply :) yes I have the 1.69 patch so I'm not sure why it keeps happening. Hopefully the sims 3 site won't shut down anytime soon.

I wish I wouldn't have to though.
Well I've been playing sims 3 for 3 years non stop now on my new system and the problem is I always delete my sims3pack files after installing them and I've downloaded them from various websites that I don't remember most of them and the backup I have for that is for at least 6 months ago.. basically as much as I want to do this I can't! But anyway thanks for sharing♡
its funny how you think i have enough disk space for cc and actually have the sims 3 game to have a account in sims 3. x-x i have all expansion packs and it lags everytime i make a sim and build mode.
The only proper mod I want is Oniki Kinky world and that’s for the weed for my hippies..Apart from that. Nope. I love 3 it’s awesome but 4 is better programmed
I decided it would be a great idea to start playing with some sims with all the expansion packs and ALL of the sims 3 store content installed. I've now gotten it to three generations and one of my male sims is in university. Whenever I try drop out of university, the game never leaves the loading screen, but at university there are so many glitches and I just came out of edit town mode and my game has frozen.
I’m sorry, but I’ve got no Saved Sims folder. I’ve got every one else, but not this. My game’s running just fine, but I wanted to 'clean' it anyway. Is it maybe because I’ve never had any cc or never downloaded any Sims, only created new ones?
i think it's maybe you didn't save the sims when you were creating them in CAS? Because, everytime i create a sim i just save them at the folder below to the add+ more sims option so i can use them later when i want to start a new game (sorry if my english sound so odd, it's not my first language, i hope you understand :c )
I wonder if this could fix the one issue I have, will try. Issue in question: whenever I launch the sims 3 I can only load 1 town. If I go back to the main menu I will not be able to load another (or even the same) town without the game just getting stuck on the loading. In order to play another save I have to turn the game off and on again. Other than this I have no issues so it's kinda a lot of work to try to fix this but it's worth a try
@@simminglybeautiful8465 For me it turned out to be a mod I used, I forgot the name but it was one that was supposed to bring more sims towards hotspot locations. If you have a mod like that you might want to delete it and see if that fixes the issue
I did this and I did everything like how you said. I cleared the inventory and saved the family and house separately. I followed all the instructions but now my game is unplayable. 😬. I have to uninstall origin, and all my sims games and then re instal origin and all my expansions. And now I’ve lost every single save file and family I’ve ever had in that game. Safe to say I’m never doing this again. I’ll just live with the lag next time.
If you lost your save files, then you did something wrong. I mentioned to put the old Sims 3 folder on the desktop to not lose your files. If you didn't follow that simple step, I'd bet you didn't follow other steps. I get that people have short attention spans and don't want to spend 20 minutes watching a video, but I did mention at the beginning not to skip around and make sure to watch the whole video. If you don't do that simple thing, then whatever you do to your game is on you. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Gigi's Neck Of The Woods no I did move the old sims 3 file onto my desktop. I watched the entire thing and I did everything the way you said. I watched the video like 3 times before I even tried to do it and even when I did it I paused the video and did each step at a time.
You moved your Sims 3 folder, the one found in the documents folder on your computer, to the desktop? Then how did you lose your save files? If you followed the steps they are in that folder, unless you trashed it or moved the wrong folder.
hey you, I tried your hack and created a new Sims 3 folder and copied all my important files into it. But when I started the game it told me that files for this family may not exist anymore. I tried fixing it but the next time I opened the game, my family was completely gone. I don't know what I did wrong but guess I have to continue playing with my old sims 3 folder.
Questions (I’ll be adding to this as the video goes on) Do you necessarily need to save to a new file EVERY time you save? If not, how many times should you save to the same one before starting to save to another? Is it safe to delete the extras if you don’t need them? How often should you save? (This is probably self explanatory, but I need to make sure) After you make sure you have everything in the new Sims 3 folder, is it safe to trash the old one? That should be it.
It's definitely a good idea to save a new file everytime you save, like she said, it keeps your game from really screwing up. If you don't, I'd say 3 is the max number of times you should save on the same file but I guess it depends on what you run your computer can handle. As long as you don't delete your most recent save, your game will be fine if you delete the others. I have a in game timer that reminds me to save every 45 real life minutes.
I made a separate comment, as this is different from the other. By mods, do you mean all packages? Edit: Basically, I'm asking if packages and mods are the same thing.
All packages aren't the same. Mods are usually script mods, which means they edit the data of the game. CC can come in packages too but they usually add something superficial to the game, like a skin or a new hairstyle.
I'm curious, if you got multiple different families that you wanna clean up, does that mean you need to go in to each of your save files and save a new individual copy of them before you start the deep clean? I would assume so but I just want to double check before I do anything.
I wish I could still play sims 3 but every time I would play it I could count on it crashing & the bugs just kept getting worse. I think it could be a problem from my video game card but still it makes me nervous thinking that it won’t ever be the same.
you know whats funny? The sims 3 played fine for me on console I never experienced issues with it on there, and when I got the sims 4 it was super buggy and slow. It's kind of reversed on pc? but i dont play 4 much so...

@xRanway VRAM is virtually memori, isn't is? You just allocate more space for page file? That helps?
Or you mean that game is designed not to use more memory? I'll check that myself when I'm around my rig.
OMG THANK YOU! DOING THIS UNCORRUPTED MY GAME... I’m actually shocked
Can you not just magically fix the game? You can walk on water.
Did you save the town when you exited the game?
So, I only have to create new save files every time I play?
But which files can I delete and which i should not
Need that mods video!!
Are you still planning on doing the mods video?
What are your PC Specs
girl you just made my game have like no lag! ive been playing the sims 3 for years and always of had lag. you just saved me and made my game playable! thank you
Thank you so much! I appreciate seeing Sims 3 videos when Sims 4 is so over-saturated
Oh shit, I’ve played the sims 3 for years, full of CC, can’t plate without it and I’ve never cleaned my game before 😬
Felt that. Fixing to play without cc and just my nrass and game mods. Just to see and repair my game. The lag is UNIMAGINABLE and I have cc from 2018
same here
Thank you for putting this video back up. It has been a lifesaver (or more like a game saver) for me. Would be interested in seeing the mod video if you ever decide to post it. Not sure you will since this video is almost 3 years old and you probably have other content planned.
I looove playing large families in the sims 3. My biggest family had two parents and 14 children, all of them living under one roof.
I've had as high as 30 sims + pets in a single house. I wouldn't recommend that though, the lag gets terrible.
i wish this video existed like 3 years ago when i upgraded my pc :/ the move caused all my saves to corrupt i feel like doing some of this could've help...some of those files were families back to 2012 it hurt to say goodbye
Another helpful Video Gigi im sure this will help my game as I can barely play sims 3 with all the lag I get
I hope it is helpful to you Tara. I'm going to be talking about mods really soon and how they help with lag. Can't wait to get started on that one. :)
back for my semiannual sims 3 cleaning 🧼
I’ve been putting mods into my existing game since.... forever 😳
i love that this video is just you lecturing us and telling us what to do lmfaooo i totally would've tried to shortcut. i feel like a scolded child
Can you explain the last part about the store items a little? I’m trying to get that part right haha
@@macy9337 Store items as .pack files.
exlibrisas But how do you save them the “shortcut” way
@@macy9337 My documents/Electronic Arts/Sims3/Downloads. They appear in this folder. You can install them, then you go to this folder, press ctrl+a and cut. Then paste them in separate folder, which you can access easily and which won't get lost.
exlibrisas i have no idea how to backup anything. ive been playing for so long but i suck at the technical stuff
@@gigisneckofthewoods it runs pretty good on 30fps for me 👍😁 would love to hear your experience if you give it a test, I don't play half as much as I'd like to 🙈
i wish i could understand this computer language. 3 minutes in and im already lost on what to do:/

Same I’m like: Cleaning? What does cleaning mean? Like mods?! LMAO
Hello Bye
What would you like to be explained?
Alex Williams what does she mean by cleaning the game? Like cc or something else? (Btw I didn’t finish the video if she explained that mb)
Good stuf, thanks Gigi.
i have no lag when in live mode but the second i go in buy/build my game stutters and lags. help?
Do you play with CC? Having bad build/buy CC will cause the game to have problems when you go into Build/Buy mode.
Gigi's Neck Of The Woods I have none and still this happens to me :c that's the reason why I don't download cc
It happens the opposite to me, Live Mode has lag but Build/Buy Mode or when I pause it runs with almost no lag.
Ive had it pretty much since it came out, and never cleaned it out once, plus i have loads of custom content. No wonder it lags so much!
Thank you SO much! My game has been so horrid before I did this and now it runs great!
I’ve never thought about playing 20 sim households... but I’m smitten by the idea seeing you play that way. Thanks for the inspiration to try a new play style.
Bruh now I’m sad. Sims 4 not alive enough for me, sims 3 too much of a pain, sims 2 un gettable, and sims 1 forever out of reach.
ah for the love of plumbob! let me re-phrase that 😀~
Sims 4 is a facelift, botoxed resurrect of Sims 3 which is on life support. Sims 2 is un*for*gettable and the cut tree which bore fruits that still give. Sims 1? It was a magic seedling that got lost under the soil somewhere.
~* *moment of silence for the sequel**~

Ok so I have a two questions, excuse me if these are a bit dumb:
1. Was this video assuming that you only play on one world? If so, do I have to do this with every single world/save file I have? Cuz I have multiple worlds with different families in them.
2. Do I have to do the cleaning inventory and evicting family process with EVERY family I play as, or only my active household? (this is assuming you also don't have to do it with the families that come with each world?)
no because this is my concern i can't do this deep clean without any answers
Nice set of tips! Thanks to you, NRAAS, and a tutorial on better performance and bug fixes, my Sims 3 gaming experience has been improved greatly!
I love Nraas mods, what do you think of them?
I can't play without them. :)
I definitely did something wrong, but a lot of the lag is gone! Thanks this really helped!
Bold of you to assume that my sim family save can even open
If some people dont already know, we are getting a 64-bit update soon. it will fix tons of problems like crashing and also fix lag 🥰

We were supposed to have an upgrade with Sims4, so WHYYYY??
sameeee, sims 3 is just superior
Sims 4 runs better on laptops or lower end pcs. No issues and no lagging I have 486 mods on 4 and it’s smooth as butter. 3 mods plus vice city on sims 3 and it is snail like.
@@desertrose1226 The point is that you don’t need mods on ts3, because it’s a COMPLETE game on it’s own, evenly just the base. Of course sims 4 it’s lighter, it’s made of bulshit and thin air, it has in no way the structure and complexity of TS3.TS4 just reflex our society now days, shallow and based on looks. And that’ because thr developers from TS3 weren’t the same of TS4
I mean, this is running as well as mine, i was hoping to see significant changes or something. Like Robbaz had a series that was jam packed with mods and while it was bloated he never had constant moments of massive stuttering.

I decided it would be a great idea to start playing with some sims with all the expansion packs and ALL of the sims 3 store content installed. I've now gotten it to three generations and one of my male sims is in university. Whenever I try drop out of university, the game never leaves the loading screen, but at university there are so many glitches and I just came out of edit town mode and my game has frozen.
all of my sims use store content in their homes and for their clothes/hair, so I kinda want to cry
did i mention i've never changed a save file ;(
i also cried today because my original sim i started with is very close to dying.
Other than this I have no issues so it's kinda a lot of work to try to fix this but it's worth a try
i am having this problem too

About the store content. My computer is slow and i have a lot. But lemme tell you, it took 3 DAYS to install all of it. So yeah. Not doing that again
The amount of Sims in your household gives me anxiety 🤣. How do you keep track of them all?
Half the views on this video are from me having to rewatch 100x during the process haha
Questions (I’ll be adding to this as the video goes on)
Do you necessarily need to save to a new file EVERY time you save?
@@JvNelsonn Thanks, this really helps!
How does "deep cleaning" work? No one seems to be asking this.
Are you still planning on doing your sims 3 mod video?
I made a separate comment, as this is different from the other. By mods, do you mean all packages?
Edit: Basically, I'm asking if packages and mods are the same thing.
All packages aren't the same. Mods are usually script mods, which means they edit the data of the game. CC can come in packages too but they usually add something superficial to the game, like a skin or a new hairstyle.
@@gigisneckofthewoods thank you
I'm curious, if you got multiple different families that you wanna clean up, does that mean you need to go in to each of your save files and save a new individual copy of them before you start the deep clean? I would assume so but I just want to double check before I do anything.
My game doesnt lag that much (except isla paradiso) but the loading screen is too long
my ccmerged file shows up everytime in the mods folder i'm confused
I wish I could still play sims 3 but every time I would play it I could count on it crashing & the bugs just kept getting worse. I think it could be a problem from my video game card but still it makes me nervous thinking that it won’t ever be the same.
you know whats funny? The sims 3 played fine for me on console I never experienced issues with it on there, and when I got the sims 4 it was super buggy and slow. It's kind of reversed on pc? but i dont play 4 much so...
i used to play sims 4 on console before i got a laptop a few years ago and it was never laggy for me
I have a completely new PC but my sims game still lags :( gonna watch this and hope for the best
