Okay there's one correction. Catholicism in India can't be traced back to arrival of St. Thomas in India in AD 52. The Church that was established here had relations with Assyrian Church of East and from the 4th Century after the arrival of Thomas of Cana started blending in the East Syrian liturgy into their worship. Catholicism first came to India when Portuguese under Vasco da Gama started colonizing India. And if you have any doubts the name of the two major Catholic denominations in India start with word Syro, i.e., Syro-Malabar Church, which follows the East Syrian Liturgy and represents the Church which accepted Catholicism and broke away from the old church when Portuguese came and the Syro Malankara Church, which follows the West Syrian Liturgy and represents the faction of Malankara Orthodox Church from which they broke ranks and accepted Catholicism in 20th Century.
The Assyrian Church of the East was in communion with Rome in the first 4 centuries. And even though they were catered by the Assyrian bishops, the split with Rome wasn't official for the Church in India.

Prayer cries to God; binds us to God; opens to us His mercy, and, with the word "Amen," rightly uttered, we take the asked-for gift out of His hands. Jesus spoke most forcibly of the power of the word "Amen." He called it the beginning and the end of everything. He spoke almost as if God had by it created the whole world.
