  • The purpose of this video is to display data collected from the use of a DSB Fabrication tuner. This is a first in a series on the effectiveness of tuners. Results show that the tuner can reliably have a "best tune" and a "worst tune." Results demonstrate that the tuner can function to "regain" the best tune when atmospheric factors, specifically station pressure, put a well-tuned rifle out of tune. The method to utilize a tuner to effectively find the best tune and regain the best tune when lost include:
    Effective load development while the tuner is fully turned towards the action
    Observing and recording atmospheric data including station pressure
    Conducting an analysis of group shape, point of impact, and size along several tuner settings
    Selecting the "best tune" based on the pattern of group shapes, point of impact, and size along a "sine wave" analysis
    Placing the tuner setting at the "best tune"
    Turn the tuner to regain the tune when the tune is lost due to atmospheric conditions
