A guy from sweden replying here (watched "king henrik" dominating so many times in the crease) with that said: my favorite goalie all-time is Mike Richter, no doubt about it. His acrobatics and overall playingstyle won it over for me.
We should tbh, between the '33 cup winning team and the '40 cup winning team there were 33 different players, 12 of them hall of famers. Bryan Hextall (Ron's grandfather), Frank Boucher (who won as a player in '33 and as head coach in '40), Dave Kerr (Who won the Vezina in 1940 with a 1.54 GAA, playing in all 48 games), Bill Cook (Who led the league in goals and point scoring in his rookie year), etc. Just a lot of cool stories that should probably be covered more.
Man...sports would be FAR less popular in general, if sports directors were as horrible as they are now, with all these YOU WILL NEVER GET TO FOLLOW THE ACTION" frequent camera cuts bullshit that shows that either the director has never actually watched sports before, or they think the viewers don't WANT to watch sports.
Richter was a great goalie
My favorite goalie growing up. the save was legendary
Same here. I called him "Lord Richter" Had his blue jersey, white jersey, hat, and poster.
Yes the best! had his poster and lucky enough to have met him and get an autograph.

The chills running down my spin are ridiculous after watching this video.

@@NickGuariglia1 save
My favorite goalie of all times. Thanks Mike!
Of all the goaltenders from my era that I miss seeing play the most, Richter is tops.
Great great goalie.
This was a once in a lifetime achievement and a sight to behold.
Man just came across thank you for the post. It reminded me how good mike ritcher was he was fire that 93 94 season!
I will never forget the greatest goalie of the 1994 stanley cup mike ricther
Richter is the Eli Manning of hockey...the bigger the game, the better he gets
One save can alter a game, a series, and a season.
Stan Fischler’s “French” is impeccable: oich und vey. 😄
There are two performances by tenders that standout above all in my opinion. Richter in 94 and Quick in 2012.
Thomas in 2011 has to be there too
Gigure from 2003, despite the loss.
Immortal!
G.O.A.T
They just may pull it off this year we will see.
Mike Ricther can stop any shots on his dead track
Some of these clips of saves are after the cup in 1994, he’s wearing cooper then Bauer pads, coke on now
Why don't yall even talk about the other championships?
Where are the devils?

First
Glen Healy bailed him out all year long. Richter was very inconsistent through the playoffs and in the Finals as well.
