you can probably use any kind of light to med weight fabric that has lots of body to make one of these, just make sure you mark the arm holes level and keep the fabric folded on grain when cutting out the arm holes, knit or woven.

You're welcome, 2 and half meters of fabric is not too much because you need enough fabric to fold it into 4. Except you are making a very short jacket then you can use less fabric.
I don't think so you can still get scissors that cut stretchy fabric much better, a created edge pair of scissors will work much much better I promise you :-) @@cynthia.a7340
