Just fyi the engine is actually stressed in this design. It is just designed to look like a traditional cradle frame so you get the retro look but with more weight savings
As a 64 year old who's been riding bikes for over 40 years this would appeal to me, it's light, great for off road and short touring. I don't need a 500lbs GS or Guzzi these days and with limited speed limits in the UK whats the point?
@@tsdmotothe Stornello is really great looking motorcycle, but it is hard to find one and if found used runs between $5-6,000, which is close to what you are paying for a brand new Scrambler 400X with a similar power output, taller and lighter and BRAND NEW. I was comparing both bikes, I am going for the Triumph.

Wow, that's a nice trick on Triumph's part. The frame still gives us a nice place for a bash plate. Thanks for the clarification!

You hit the nail on the head.
That makes two of us older chaps looking to downsize, yet wanting to ride something cool. Don't think my Guzzi's quite 500lbs, but not far off!
I do love a Guzzi. Did you ever look at the V7 II Stornello they released around 2016? I thought that was a cool "scrambler" type bike.@@mrsilbo6499
