Fond memories of going with my Dad and friends to the live shows when they were in Aberdeen. This show was essentially commissioned as a replacement for Number 73 which ITV moved to the winter schedule in 1985 to compete directly with Saturday Superstore on BBC1. Basically Saturday mornings were owned by the BBC in Autumn/winter and ITV in spring/summer.
A GET FWESH
Haha! 😆
This was written by Mick Jones of The Clash when he was BAD (Big Audio Dynamite).

Fantastic - Had this in my head all week. Thanks so much for uploading
GET FRESH - BACK SOON... HIT IT!
Haha, glad it gave a nostalgic buzz.
Wow a blast from the past. This was on during the summer period from 1986 to 88. Plus on Sundays
Proto-Dubstep. Waaaaay ahead of it's time.
I used love this tune, thanks for the memory

The commercial break bumpers used the voice to say "BACK SOON". It's Phil Cornwell doing the voices. Alan Partridge's nemesis Dave Clfton :)
Weirdly this music was done by Mick Jones from The Clash/Big Audio Dynamite
He did a great job, as I still enjoy this tune even now into my 40's. 🎧
Great job been looking for this for a while
Glad to have helped out. Nostalgia has been my food and water this year.
The most 80s sounding theme tune ever made.
Indeed.
They had that game Xenon didn't they. Gaz Top was the host and Gilbert the Alien.
Wonder Showzen, but British
