Possibly. But the Sportster issue sounds like it could be a dirty earth causing high resistance and the Buell needs a new neutral switch - if he pulled the clutch lever in when starting it would prevent the "clicking"
Not a terrible battle of exhaust notes. The sportster has an upgraded servo? Flaps closed and open? And the lightning has stock exhaust? Maybe an Xb12r or S with a forcewinder? Or drummer, micron, Remus, D&D, DA, APH, heck, even a Jardine? Then the sounds may be closer matched.
I've never had bikes sound like these when letting off throttle, even my Harleys. They shouldn't be cackling but a smooth down rhythm. Both sound good pulling out. Buell is the quicker rev. They're almost loud. Got a long way to go for loud.
@@jonnymac8925 Buells Have a lighter crankshaft, closed combustion chamber, with ported valves. Just for starters. The Buell will rev easier, and make a couple extra ponies from the higher air flow and combustion. It’s bolt in, sure, but they’re not really the same engine. Eric really took his time to make a better product.
@@catharticcathexis4527 I didn't say they are the motors, I said in what world does a Buell and a Sportster not use the same Evo based engine until the Buell XB (and the XB and XL are quite similar too, the XB got a different cam chest and cam order. The person above my comment said "no parts are the same" and that simply isn't true. Even the Buell XB motor which never made it into a Sportster shares parts with the Sportster like the crankshaft and downdraft throttle body to name a few things. The similarities depends on the year because some Sportsters use Buell Lightning and Thunderstorm heads and 2004+ heads are Buell XB heads. Erik used Screamin Eagle cams, and the XB motor just puts them in reverse order. Where Erik really made a difference is in chassis development where he has more trademarks than Quaker has oats. The oil in swingarm, fuel in frame, underslung exhaust for weight distribution and perimeter brake are all insanely awesome features. That doesnt change the fact of what my response was to Dave Howell because they definitely have parts that are the same. Infact until 1994 Buell used a stock Sportster motor with a 2-1 and intake and that was it.
Was ratzt da bei der Buell wo er die anlässt?? Würde mich sehr interessieren, denn meine XB12 R macht das auch seit neuestem... Ich hoffe es ist nichts schlimmes.... PS über eine Antwort würde ich mich freuen...

lovely sounds. both need new batteries! Buells are hard on batteries with the fan.

Sagen wir, ich bin öfters mit unterwegs. Ne bisher keine Probleme. Ist ja auch ein Originaler 😉😎

Same engine?
No parts are the same
@@bosshowly in what world do the Buell XB and Sportster not share any motor parts?
