  • This series will take you from absolute beginner to be able to handle yourself in combat against NPCs. If You watched my previous beginners series, you can probably skip this one and go to part 2 as it's similar to part 1 in that series.
This part is for absolute beginners to get you used to moving around the combat zone, identifying ships/targets and using your weapons in a very safe environment with little danger, whilst earning around 5 million cr per hour.

At 6:32 you turned into Paul Daniels lololol (Depending on your age that might not mean anything to you ).
EDIT Also I love the way you call the security forces policemen. 16:10 policemen calling up other policemen on the telephone lololol made me think of Dixon of Dock Green! They'll be using police whistles next, so very British! lol Class, Cheers!

I'm old enough to remember, but I don't think it was my memory of him that influenced me to say that, but you never know.

What!?!? one minute you were outfitting the ship next you're flying in space at a resource extraction site, whatever that is?????? Where, why, how?

All explained in a lot more detail in this vid, which is a walkthrough for new players.

This one is meant more for people that already started and wanted to have a go at combat rather than for new players.Start in Horizons rather than Odyssey to get the same start point. If you've already started, you can go to any high resource extraction site, which you fid in the rings of some planets, so look for a system with lots of ringed planets.

@Hugh Jardon : How do you get a little yellow square as a target marker or is that just with the Sidewinder ? Liked and subbed

You keep ditching the free and zero weight super-cruise assist. It is awesome. Not for just sitting in it but for catching your ship when you come in with your hair on fire. Come in straight at the destination until get down to 10, 9, 8, 7, (6 if you are super quick). Then 75% throttle. Turn on you Super-cruise assist and look at your speed. Once it is below 2c. Go full throttle and come out of the aim so that Super-cruise assist breaks contact. Once 5 Seconds to destination 75% power again and come back into the aim for Super-cruise assist to take over. You will then come in at outrageous speed and the Super-cruise will snap you out at the destination without damage. This works for any point of interest. High-Rez. Signal sources. It doesn't work for Hotspots.

It was a long time ago but Combat was good. I started with the Combat route using your videos and it went great. Just a warning to all. They Python, it is great. It is all the things people say about it...after it is engineered. I got it after the Vulture and hated it. Didn't come back to it for a long time.

Thanks, this has been useful and I'm just starting out.
Idk if it is just me but your mic volume in the video is very quiet.

Hi thanks for the great vids do you have the key bindings for your x52 ?

I don't think you'd like mine. I have to keep moving things around because some of the buttons don't work and others are unreliable. I normally use Virpil sticks but they're packed up waiting for a house move that should have happened in October. There are lots of discussions and keybinding files for the X52 on the Frontier forums. Use Google to search.
