New player here and really appreciate this info. Got my Python now with a slightly engineered FSD after few hours mining. Now to brave some Res sites 😨
You can do over 150m per h with type 9 and trading. Once I've found a spot by using inara or eddb trading routes. Where Base 1 and base 2 were literally in same system almost next to each other. 2h and I had 500m just by flying from a to b.
Yes, that's true, but there is always uncertainty with trading. You have to invest time to find a good trade route. When you add the time for that and the time to check it out, the earnings rate isn't so good. After some trips, the market is satisfied, then you have to spend time to find another loop.. Some people like it, but I prefer the reliability and consistancy of platinum mining. Normally, I use a fleet carrier and Cutter. That video was only to prove a point.. With the fleet carrier, I can average 200 million/hr including the time to find a good market and sell all the platinum..Now I make 275 million/hr shooting Thargoids.
Yes, no engineering necessary. You need one point defence at the back of the ship and one heatsink to break target lock for the rare occasions when you coe under fire. There's a complete explanation in the latest video in my channel.
Hi I have just traveled about 60 ish jumps to here and can’t find the station at the start ..... if you can tell me what system it is in it would be greatly appreciated thanks (Edit) never mind I was being an idiot and could of just searched it up anyway thank you for the tutorial
The system is Paesia and the Haz RES is in planet 2. The market has changed now, so you'll probably have to sell somewhere else, though the demand at the station I sold at might be replenished tomorrow. Use ED tools to find a good place to sell.
You have to go where there's a haz RES with platinum in the rocks. See my previous video on how to mine in a haz RES. When you use a Python, you're finished so quickly that the pirates rarely bother you. The system in that vid is Paesia planet 3, but it might be better to go to another one where the market is nearer. ruclips.net/video/0jYjLyWlWR8/видео.html
118mil per hr is good money for players in the middle of the game. A new starter can go straight to a high resource extraction site to help the police kill the pirates and get 5 million per hr for it. After 2 hrs, they would have enough to buy a T6 and fit it out for mining. Using the T6, they can get about 50 million per hr doing what I showed. In two hours, they will have enough to get an un-engineered Python, which they can use that to do what I showed. The only difference is that it mines slightly slower and takes a bit longer to reach the market. It will get about 96 million an hour.
People are at every stage of the game. There has to be information for those still on the learning curve, and just about being able to afford and custom configure a Python is still, I suspect, in the middle of that learning curve.
@@hughjardon3538 friend, those limpet controlers that have multiples types , in the site they show the limpet life time as "infinite " this is true ? because a normal limpet controler has a life time for the limpets
@@____trazluz____9804 The infinite life is when they're used as prospector limpets, as all prospectors have infinite life until you fire another one. Nobody would use a 3C multi-limpet controller for prospectors because the grade effects how many fragments you get from the rock, so the only one to use is A-grade.
The pirates come about every 20 minutes on average. With a Python, you fill up so quickly that you rarely see them after the first-spawn ones have gone. If the pirates do come, they just ask for some cargo, so I give them what they ask for, or, if I'm nearly full, I leave and go sell what I have. That video was not my best run or anything like that. I hadn't even used a Python for ages. I just made it to settle an argument and ran it off first time.
Great that you show the full video, this has become one of my favorite sleeping asmr😅

Can this be used without engineering? Also the 2 empty hardpoints on the coriolis link are for the point defense?

Why it says prospector limpet failed??
The 3A prospector limpet controller can only handle 2 limpets, so each time you fire a new one, the one you fired before the previous one expires.
@@hughjardon3538 oh thanx
Do asteroids keep their increased yield even if the prospector limpets are no longer on them?
Yes, as long as there was a prospector limpet on them at some time.
@@hughjardon3538 good to know. Thanks cmdr

Mr Jardon, how does the Asteroid give out so much Platinium ? When I do it I might get 2-3 Platinium refined each Asteroid. You get 8-10 ??

I wouldn't say no to 118 million lol.

I don't have access to my PC at the moment, but I made a complete guide to haz RES mining. Look in my channel for the previous vid or the one before.
