When it said “what happens when a house when it’s abandoned?”, I actually thought of self-neglect. A form of self harm. The body puts all its resources into keeping it working but it’s not sustained with anything else, slowly burning out like a broken house.
This was the best interpertation so far ❤
aaaah, anatomy, one of my favourite games of all time....your comment on what's a house vs a home is really applicable for this one. when we don't feel safe in our house it can become one of the most hostile places to be.
It has shot up to being one of my all time favorites as well
@@biggaming64it definitely is one that sticks in your brain!

"It thinks we're intruding" as if you haven't been stomping around the house and smashing plates, literally constantly returning after the first time it threw you out.
This game has the best atmosphere for horror games, no jumpscares every minute, a dark set, not knowing your objective and trying to piece what the monster could be.
It's like exploring abandoned building. There is a certain expectation and danger in the darkened place
This video got me thinking, I don’t have anywhere to call home. Not really. Being near my mom scares me. I never feel safe with her. I never feel safe with my dad and I don’t have any friends in town to go to. I feel happiest when I’m watching your videos and drawing. It honestly just makes me sad.
I understand how you feel. Things can and will get better if you wish it. Stay strong friend.
This is me… omg
I hope that you can find peace with your life and family, remember advice that people give is true, try to find a passion, friends and things
My parents are divorced. Despite living there the first few years of my life, my dad's never felt like home as much as my mom's did. I always find myself staying at my mom's longer than my dad's, and since my mom was deployed overseas for military a lot, my grandma raised me mostly till I was 8. I'm 14 now, and she still feels like more of a mother to me than my actual mother does. Out of everything, living with my grandma feels the most like home.
Thank you for reading this, if you did :>
:) thank YOU for sharing
He didnt
He shared his story of his life
I'll give you now a God bless pls stay strong
Wait how does that relate to this
16:41 I love this explanation of why bedroom is the scariest space. My bedroom in on a low floor and facing the street, so I’d be scared imagining someone outside of my window when I’m sleeping lol
28:43 it says, " I dream that there are teeth all over me, everywhere on me like cysts. They're loose but I can't remove them because I have no hands. I look out through the window and I see a truck approaching. A young man steps out, approaches, and enters through the front door. His body is covered in wall ticks, the size of corers. He's walking through the downstairs hallway and he begins urinating on the wall. He spits on the carpet. He's moving through the first floor, breaking and upsetting. He goes to the basement and stands at the top of the stairs, I am angry at him so I slam the door and he falls down. I can feel his bones snapping, the ticks are bursting, black blood, everywhere. I can feel it being ground out, disolved, and spitting, and shredding. I leave the door closed. I close my eyes and try to sleep. The teeth continue growing until there's nothing left of me but teeth and thumbs and * dunno what it said*"
the last word is sinew, i believe
The last bit is "teeth and gums and sinew"
Noice
Wow, Anatomy.
I'm so glad you got around to
play this one. The atmosphere in this horror game is just something to behold; the dread is soooooo well done.
The concept of comparing the rooms to certain parts of the human body and organs is mindblowing. Who could have thought of that?
Anyways keep up the good work legend!🔥
"Skinamarink vibes" is so on point for describing this game. I watched that film for the first time on the big screen, I was so immersed that it felt like I was trapped in my seat and I was so scared that I started hiding my face in my shirt halfway through. Similar feelings from this game.
Been here since 116K…every video/stream is like Christmas look forward to them so much
This game is an absolute masterclass in atmospheric horror. From the very first moment you step foot in that house, the tension begins building. The all consuming silence, the darkness encroaching on your vision from all sides until you can barely see two feet in front of your face, and of course those phenomenally well written and voiced tapes... It creates such a PROFOUND sense of unease, and since there are no jumpscares (except maybe that one crash on the basement stairs) there is nothing to relieve that tension. It never breaks, only continues to build until the very end. And your commentary and analysis was both delightful and insightful ❤
I think that home is a place where you are accepted no matter what and and always cared an loved for. But home is also a type of feeling. A kind of sensation telling you that “this is where I belong this is where I stay” . Some people who don’t have homes also define homes as people. All because those people give that feel like home sensation. ❤
I love watching your content biggaming64
Ty .
This might be a strange thing to comment, and I’m not sure at all that how I interpreted the game is how the creator did, but here’s goes anyways. When I was little, about 8 or so, my parents got divorced. The house I shared with them never felt like home. My mom kept that house and my dad moved out. They decided that my brother and I would rotate between the houses, one week at mom’s, one week at dad’s and so on. Still, neither of the houses I lived in felt like home. When I grew up a little more and understood the world around me better, I saw the kind of people my parents really were. My mom has always been an incredible support system, and I feel extremely lucky to have her in my life. My dad, to put it lightly, isn’t the best person, especially not the best parent. Over time as I grew up in his house, I started having serious mental health issues and really struggling to be around him. The house with him started feeling… different? I didn’t want to blame my dad for the longest time, but I knew something was wrong, so I think maybe I blamed the house? I’m honestly not sure how else to put it, but to me the house itself started to seem unnatural and scary, and it kept getting more and more twisted the longer I was there. Maybe that’s why this game really hit hard for me. I’ve never had the exact words to explain the feelings of being there, the feelings my dad gave me, but seeing this game was cathartic. The way the house changes and becomes like a living nightmare really feels like my experience. I’m really thankful that recently, my house that I share with my mom and my step dad really feels like home. It feels safe and content, and I like being there.
I dunno, I just really appreciate this game and you for playing it. Thank you, BG, and I wish you and your family happiness and good health :)
“Oh you did nothing wrong, we just wanted something else.”
all of your videos are amazing, please never stop! Your commentary & life advice has changed my perspective forever.
The fact that this game has an organic, changing house reminds me of the horror game aptly called "House"! very cool :)
Sad how I'm shown your videos right before I sleep, and because I'm too scared of watching horrors before sleep, I just forget to watch them. Also have you heard of a very unique horror called "voices of the void"? It would make a nice series of videos
Definitely want to play this one on my own... It has a great slow burn
i just freaked out when i saw an upload
i havent played this game yet because i never got around to it, but your video just made it so much better.
love your vids
I've had the trip to visit the old home I like after we moved out too. It's a weird feeling, like you know this place is no longer alive now, and you can't go back to that time.
The concept of this game is absolutely brilliant, and it really gets you thinking about it which makes the atmosphere of it one with the mind because how it forces you to interpret it. Especially not knowing the objective helps because all you have to think about is the eerie feeling and your thoughts.
I'm too much of a wimp to play horror games but this one seems like a very diverse experience.
I’m in the UK, lived with my parents until I was about 23, moved to various places close by, recently moved with my partner to the country, and at 41 am 1 month away from getting my own house in the country (first time buyer.)
It’s a strange feeling to get used to - moving further and further away from family and friends each time, even though they’re still relatively accessible to me, but my mental health dramatically improved being in the countryside, away from the noise and chaos of the city; its quiet here, there are lots of trees and fields, I have so much mental space for projects and personal development. I love it here. But everyone’s a unique shape to fit into a unique spot, I think moving reveals what’s important to us, what we can’t live without, and if your brain is feeling an emptiness or sorts in a new home - maybe something’s missing.
Your brain is like a logic puzzle we only understand the outer layer of, we constantly ask why we feel certain ways and I think that shows we’re always trying to understand ourselves; and sometimes it’s the gut feeling that tells us more than we ever realise.
As a non-native English speaker it's hard for me to understand what the records are saying because of the static noises and low volume. But that's not your fault. At least I understood the game thanks to your commentary ❤
Turn the subtitles on
I don’t have the best memories of my childhood home, but my in-laws recently sold the house my husband grew up in after many months of trying. Witnessing the dual joy and sadness that comes with saying goodbye, sharing their many memories, and finally moving on to the next chapter is a very beautiful and healing thing for me. Sending you so much love and encouragement Big G! Always rooting for you and your success in everything, you are so immensely loved.
This was a grade A experience. I wish there was a game that expanded on this concept by putting you in the role of paranormal researcher. There's different case files of different houses that you visit and document, with each house having its own personality.
big gaming listening to tape: "that's true"
the tape"efwlibfvewnvewoverovhuevnjrjejc,ckefje"
Idk about anyone, but I thought of the player character as a tumor. Infecting and corroding the house/body, until, the body, without the right support, dies; and the tumor along with it
I heard another, sad interpretation of the player. When the house mentions itself inventing ghosts to try and keep itself company in some hollow way, maybe the player is one of the ghosts. You're the house, experiencing itself. When it gets angry at the player, it's venting its anger on an imaginary figment because it has no way to lash out.
Might not be the proper interpretation, but I always loved the way this makes the house's isolation all the more tragicm
@@Vaksharules1999 oof. That’s a good one.
Loved the video, keep up the good work
I love horror games a lot so I’m glad I came across your channel a few months ago:]
That tape in the guest bedroom sounded like a prayer to me
i think this game is about heartbreak, and losing one’s sanity in the pursuit of finding the love that you once knew.
I think being home is a feeling of comfort and security, and sometimes feeling home isn't necessarily being in a house. Sometimes it's not even physical, whenever I watch your videos I feel at home because personally your videos remind me of the days where I used to be just in my room after a long day at school and just watch some good scary gameplay videos until I would sit down and eat dinner with my family. Some videogames make me feel at home, like VRChat in which I play with my friends and even met my BF on there. Sometimes even the food you eat makes you feel at home, cartoons, maybe clothing, your friends, your family, anything that you have a close connection with you can consider that feeling like home. Being home is all about connection, cause that is what we need to function not just as a society, but as a whole species. We're all based on connection and we need connection to survive, in the same way that wolves need their packs to survive. So it is very natural to want to feel at home and connected.
Yo man I love your content but I have a gaming request. It is a game called Zoochosis, it's not out but the game seems to be very atmospheric and story driven. It would make a great series
I subbed to your channel just because how you analyze the game despite how scary it looks and feels. Love the video 👍👍
Thanks :)
My family moved from a small city to a big city when I was 8 or 9, and we had lived in many different rental places in that big city. Now I find myself still able to recall the layout, the light, down to the decorations details of the home in the small city from many years ago, while the impressions of rented places kind of melted into each other.
The time I spent in these places are not so far apart (old home about 4-5 years and rented ones usually 3 years or so). I think the reason I can't remember them as clearly is I stopped believing that they are my home.
My family has their place again now but in my mind I kinda see it as my parents' home more than mine, as I've been away for a long time. And I'm in a similar situation again where I have to move often because I'm in a big city.
Places to live in are not always places to call home. Yes it's about who you're with, but I think the space itself is also a big part of it, a physical space you know in this endless world you can always return to. Everything I do in my life is to rebuild a home that belongs to me one day :)
I’ve always thought about moving back into my childhood home years down the line…
the creator’s name is KittyHorrorShow, if anyone wants to check out more of her work
GUYS IT'S LIKE MONSTER HOUSE 😨😱
This feels like a Magnus Archives statement game lol.
Kitty Horror Show! Please, play more of her games! She's an extraordinary horror creator, she deserves more love!
This guy is always so honest and real, and I love it
This is my Home for Horror content, I love your content a lot❤
was laughing so hard the expressionz you made when the tapez distorted, or when something strange happened, and i love how you talk to us like we're actually playing with you, your videoz r the best to watch while i'm doing hw, i can just listen, ty for that !!
For me, being with cats is probably the thing that makes me feel like i'm home, because they're so adorable and always want attention, which can distract you from other things that are bothering you in life at the time, even if that distraction is only for a few moments.
My cat is my home, my room is my home. I always want to bring my cat to roadtrips.
6:11 thats actually rlly true bc someones room can show their personality like for example my room hasent changed much since I was little, so the furniture is still very pink, however my moms room has very dark furniture, I like the pink furniture bc it looks like a little kid lives there even tho Im not a little kid anymore its ıg kind of nostalgia? For my mom I think dark colors makes here feel comfterble
As someone who is incredibly sentimental, who has trouble even throwing out the items of clothing and baubles I own, as worn and rough as they are, this really strikes me as sad more than scary, and gave me more to think of. I've passed by abandoned homes, decrepit and falling apart, filled with broken glass and jagged boards, and I always wondered what it was once like in those halls, who lived there, what they were like, and what they did. After experiencing this game years ago, this also made me begin to consider things from the perspective of the house, were the house a living being. What is it feeling? Is it lonely? Would it miss the sounds of conversation and laughter in its halls and rooms? Even the anger and despair? Like a lone child watching a distant family through a window, would it have felt like a part of them, though making no direct interaction? Would it long to?
Sometimes, just in case and if I have time, I'll step inside. I won't touch anything, and simply stand inside or on the staircase for a few minutes.
I'll relax and listen to the creaking wood and whispering winds until I need to move on with the rest of my day.
I've never felt at home with my family. As the oldest in a family of six kids, I've always felt overlooked and unneeded. My parents were pretty young (both 18-19 years old) when I was born and my mother would always tell me later that I was a "first attempt that's never good".
After each sibling, they'd expect more from me. They wanted me to be independent. I remember how my mother would stop braiding my hair in grade 3 because she was too busy with younger kids and work, and I'd cry whenever I heard someone say that their hair was made by their mom.
I've always felt invisible. Like a piece of furniture. Only used when something is needed from it, otherwise just standing still in the back. Until I met my fiancee.
His family is small, he only has an older sister who has her own family already, and lives in another city. So when I came into his home, I started to realize how valuable I can be.
Each time I've helped with cooking, or cleaning, or his mom's job (we have similar specialties, I'm a teacher and she is a tutor), I'd be praised so much. They were all very thankful to have me and gradually, I've started leaning more towards them.
Eventually, I've been spending more time with my boyfriend's friends as well. And they also felt so much better than the ones I used to have. They truly wanted me and enjoyed my company and had fun with me, while my "friends" I used to have were just college groupmates whom I'd talk to occasionally and never enjoy their company (which was probably mutual).
I can't decide whether it's a good thing or a bad thing. However, right now, I am finally happy and comfortable. And I've never been before, until I met him.
So thank you, dear. And thanks to everyone who's read it
To me a home is mainly about a feeling like you know that there’s no one to hurt you or judge you, you know that you are safe and loved unconditionally at least that’s how I would define it. Those feelings put you at ease and make you feel comfortable and secure so home could be anyone and anything, a house, a person , a pet even a restaurant can feel like home especially if it’s related to good memories.
I think the small ones are either tendons or nerves... Although nerves technically can hold electricity and are directly connected to the brain and since your not being electrocuted it's probably tendons...
To the home question:
As an immigrant there used to be a lot of nostalgia and such a strong need to go back to England, which to me was home. But here I learned through loving myself and being comfortable with who I am, I am home. I know it sounds weird. The home has just been made inside.
31:30 This is when I realized that the house is becoming more and more human-like as the game goes on. And it foreshadows this in the very beginning when the guy in the tape compares the house to a human body.
Your stuff is great my guy!
I watched this while I was home alone, and I kid you not, as soon as the video finished the house settled
I may have to move
This gives me so much haunting of the hill house and the pretty thing that lives in the house vibes like!! It was so good omg
Sorry I didn’t get the notification also thanks for the inspiration it helped me through all of this I can only thank people like you and my sister
I was just looking for some horror gameplay. After I foud this channel I am hooked. And also can you play fears to fathom.
YEEESSSS he NEEDS to play Fears to Fathom
Speaking of games as art, and this game is quite lengthy and potentially frustrating yet unique and beautiful to play in it's own right, but would you be up to playing Scorn? It's a gorgeous game! Not so much in terms of gameplay per say but more in terms of design, atmosphere, and potential story/lore.
BG you don’t know how bad I needed this right now
Atmospheric Horror games are my favorite! A good way to keep you on-guard without repetitive jumpscares
This game reminds me a lot of another game called Flesh, Blood and Concrete. It's very interesting to see the similarities between the two
I have a good feeling that we all watching or playing this, will see our homes differently.
Would you be down to play a horror game?
The game is called dark wood, it's pretty good
I asked for this too. Please play it!
I love horror stuff and ty for making loving horror stuff more :)
With the tapes it reminds me of Evil Dead. I wish they had subtitles. I have a hard time without them ☹️
On the topic of feeling at home i have never really felt at "home" the only time i really feel at "home" is when im talking with my online friends I've never actually seen them but i trust them more then i trust anyone
The house living reminds of that one hellboy comic by Mike mignola 😊
I've never had a home, just place I live in temporarily
hey i just watched your video about "rotten flesh" i nearly screamed the jump scares were really scary
I've never clicked so fast in my life
This guys videos make my day

Hey bg, thanks for helping me through a tough time ❤, but I have said all that before,so I want to tell you about how life is going right now. So I will go to an island outside Stockholm called muskö and my aunt and uncle has a cabin there and they own a cabin (witch is like a second home but it doesn't feal the same) and my uncle has a shed there where I make different projects and now I will make a sawed off shotgun for a play and we are going to use spent shell caseings and I now have Easter break and I don't know if you have that in America but we have it here in Sweden. I hope you are doing great and I love you ♥️
You should check out all the games the lady who made this game also created.
Besides this one, story wise, everything she makes is different. Besides the main series of games she had made.
Her games are great because she focuses on ambience and atmosphere. The world around you and not what will physically come and get you. Ya feel me?
Alright, back for another one! Here's your JUMPSCARE list!!!
...
No jumpscares lol. For the "home or not home" feeling, I've moved so much whenever I'm in a place for long (a few hours) I call it home. Mom's house? Home. Hanging with friends? Their house is home. Yia Yia's house? Home for as long as I visit. Moving isnt even sad or major, just a fact of life. It feels weird staying in one place for longer than a few years.
And what is home but a place you feel safe?
Hey big gaming do you plan on getting paranormal activity game? It’s coming out I hopes it’s good please tell me you’re doing play through?
Sorry I haven’t watched your content lately lol been dealing with my grandma passing away and my depression kinda acting up! But I’m glad to come back to watch your content!
Also give pumpkin head pet for me!!
Have you seen monster house
The sounds you heard in-game after the first crash sound like the octoombas from mario galaxy
i'm soooo easily distracted, so unfortunately I didn't absorb any of the game because it just couldn't keep my attention for more than 2 seconds at a time. No idea what happened and I just finished the video. oops. uh, have a like!
I love it! Its so unsettling. You can never tell if somethings gonna get ya
Let us congratulate the creator for making this game, he must have put a lot of effort into this game. 🎉🎉🎉👍👍👍
Kitty horror show has made some amazing experiences! Check em out!
This is funny i was just about to recommend this gane to to you. I search up your latest video and find this, lol. I love your videos. Keep going, you saved my life and I bet your saving others.
I love Anatomy.
This is my first time looking at this channel, W gameplay, w video
I realize that I never felt home during my childhood. I was very aware that this was my father's house. Same, maybe worse, with my mom's place. My boyfriend feels like home, my friends are my home. It's a special feeling, I'm lucky to have them!
Did anyone else think someone was going to come in and do exactly what the lady was describing from her dream? Then i thought, wait, we are the intruder. Duh.
sweet new BG lore!
Reminds me of the time when I destroyed the game Talos Principle and never worked again, even when I reuploaded it.
12:38 I'm just waiting for something to happen a little bored
I’m gonna open up in this comment section. I struggle with drug abuse, and so does my family. So the fact that the house is a reflection of ourselves… Yeah, I live in a shithole. This hit hard for me, so many traumatic things and memories in a place I use to love as a child. It really did get twisted, thankfully I protect my twin from ever getting hooked on anything. He’s smart about it too. But my parents are shells of who they once were. Fentanyl is a epidemic.
I don’t know why but this guys voice is soothing
That shrill voice I recognize it the first talking doll
one of the games ever! loved your reactions and interpretation
Oh my god the last five minutes aka the ladys monologue thing kept me frozen to my spot it wasn't intense but it was tense if that makes sense
23:00 It says, " I praise the lord, my to keep, I should die*weird text* praise the lord. Amen"
It’s saying a very common nighttime prayer, I could tell as my grandfather was quite religious. “As I lay me down to sleep, I pray the lord my soul to keep. If I should die before I wake, I pray the lord my soul to take. Amen” hope that helps! :D
@@Lars-bg1gy Thank you!
I'm curious, what are some of your favorite non-video games? For example, board games or games you play face-to-face with friends or family.
And which games do you feel are popular, but you don't particularly like them?
I’ll basically play any board/card game. I can’t get into DND though, sessions are too long and I can’t get into character
Jumpscared because of the game ❌
Jumpscared because your sudden breath to the mic ✅
Wow what an experience
I love this game. I’ll probably check this video out again: and maybe play myself.
Can you play darkwood?
