We got some awesome dialogue in the comments thank you all! I wanted to clear up a few things:
    1. I wholeheartedly agree with Dimashs message of peace. No matter our backgrounds we should all live peacefully.
    2. I am a Christian and will always use my page to talk about Jesus. I do not force my beliefs on anyone, you choose whether to watch the video or not.
    3. All religions are NOT the same. Christians believe that Jesus is God. John 14:6 Jesus says "I am the Way, the Truth, & The Life. No one gets to the Father except through Me."
We have alot of people in the comments that come from different backgrounds. We can disagree on things but still all love & respect each other. I truly appreciate you all and your comments. God Bless!

I just clicked to see a music video reaction. That was my expectation. I have no problem with your religious beliefs or anyone’s belief. But the end of your video did feel like a sermon and many people agree with this. But now that I know your music video reactions will apparently involve religion lessons (and it is your account and can post anything you want but people will equally be free to react to it as I did), I may skip your future videos from now on….Peace. ✌

I like you accept people all have their own version of the truth in their religion, you have your truth and faith as a Christian, Dimash has his as a Muslim, my mother has hers as a Jehovah's Witness I think whichever religion people follow gives that person hope and I think that's how it should be. Dimash stated this perfectly in his comment on this video On September 23, on the solo concert of Dimash in Almaty we saw the premiere of his song "The Story of One Sky". On September 24, at the artist's fan meeting, the audience saw the clip of this composition for the first time.
Dimash Qudaibergen’s 12-minute work is dedicated to the unity of people on our planet. We are all divided into races, nations and religions, but we are all children of one planet and live under one sky. Life is the highest value.
No sacred book calls for the destruction of people. We must learn to be friends; it is impossible for a few adults to cause millions of children to suffer. The future of our planet, the future of people is in our hands, let there be peace in the world.
We are children of one Home, one Earth and one Heaven. Thank you for your understanding of other people's faith and God Bless You

I have to stop you at #3. You cannot honestly make a statement like, "Christians believe that Jesus is God," when it depends entirely on the denomination. It is simply not universally true of Christians at all! I grew up Christian as well and I never viewed Jesus as anything other than God’s son and that's because he is called God’s son over two dozen times in the scriptures. He is never called God the son as the Trinity teaches. The Trinity doctrine first appeared in Church writings 300 years after Jesus’ death. The word "trinity" itself is not found in the Bible, nor is the concept of God being three persons in one. The three are only mentioned in one verse of the Bible and it says nothing suggesting that they are co-equal, omnipotent, nor omniscient. While the doctrine is called the “central doctrine of the church” neither Jesus nor any of his disciples taught that God is a Trinity. The doctrine developed gradually over several centuries. This simple fact about so much of what is in the Bible is why it is so often blindly misinterpreted by otherwise well-meaning people---and I have no doubt that you are well-meaning.
Jesus himself said he was God’s only begotten son. To be begotten means to have a beginning, so Jesus had a beginning unlike God who is eternal and had no beginning. Jesus referred to his father as “the only true God” and “my God and your God”. Jesus never claimed equality to God, in fact he specifically said his father was greater than he. Jesus said there were things he did not know which only his father knew. Jesus always referred to his father as God, never referring to himself nor to the Holy Spirit as God. I can lead you to the exact passages which states each of these clearly if you like. It is simply not true that the belief that Jesus is God is a tenet of Christianity.

@@dougfriendly7676 John 1:1 & John 8:58 clearly state Jesus is God. Plus Jesus' death and resurrection prove He is God. I haven't heard of a Christian denomination that doesn't believe Jesus is God and if there is one I would have to question if they are truly a Christian if they don't believe in the Trinity. The Bible has the Trinity throughout.
      God Bless.

I deeply admire Dimash for being as open a person as he is. He's a very strong muslim believer and he often mentions his religion, but not as if he was trying to force it on anyone. I think his beliefs really contribute to making him a better person, a person with strong moral values, and as a non-believer (agnostic) I think this is what all religions are supposed to bring to people. Unfortunately, they're too often twisted, misinterpreted or used by some as a means of controlling and harming others, but seeing that tolerant and non-judgemental people like Dimash exist makes me feel happy and full of hope. He really represents (and tries to promote) a good side of humanity. Protect this human at all costs.

All of the religions pictured believe in a higher power. Whether they call him God, Allah, Yahweh, or an "indivisable union" we all have the same basic beliefs when broken down. We can live together if we learn to live with our different beliefs. Trivia: In Islam they believe Jesus was a prophet, and was born of the virgin Mary, although they don't believe he is the son of God. Issa (Jesus) is the most talked about in the Qu'ran. If you learn about other religions we are the same. Perhaps it is the time, and culture that was given to all to follow a different path to God. We are all the same.

The purpose of the video is to teach tolerance and understanding between all peoples so that we can all experience and enjoy peace. He was being careful to include all ideologies and was not making commentary on Christianity. His commentary is dedicated to ending senseless, worthless, wanton war. In the video Dimash is the kid who almost drowned, the girl ends up marrying him and they have a daughter (the one killed by the soldiers and broke Dimash’s heart) and they also have one on the way. The other boy on the beach is the general who uses Dimash’s gift of gratitude of the necklace and turns it into another meaning. It’s hard to catch but at the beginning on the beach the general likes the girl but she rejects him. So he became bitter and filled with greed and wants to split up Waldenberg into “shares”. Not everyone catches it but the three were on the same side fighting against the “other”. So when catastrophe happens Dimash’s loyalty to his cause when the reality of war and the deaths of his family makes him realize that the war is just obscene, out of control rage and destruction that cannot be recovered from. Death is death and it is no longer worth it to keep fighting for it, over what, greed? So now he goes to to kill the general in an attempt to end it by killing the leader, the one pushing for war. At the same time his wife is giving birth and dies and they pass on to the child the friendship necklace of the mother. Which way will he go? Will he follow his dads footsteps and work for peace or will he continue to follow the war, that the necklace is now the symbol of? We don’t know, it is a main point of the video designed to make you think about what war really is. War is a choice,we can undo the choice. The three friends are dead (that’s why it’s called a requiem it’s a mass or story about the dead). The long line of people are harder to understand but clearly are meant to represent all peoples and all religions. I believe that in the end they were to help tell the story of life and death, and that we sacrifice ourselves to do the right thing and they are the dead on their way to heaven (represented as the light). And in the end Dimash joins their ranks as one who was trying to do the right thing and end the war, because like them he chooses life and not all the propaganda used to convince people to enter into war, only to go to their deaths. The themes of morality and how sticky and messed up they can be (like Dimash killing his friend to whom he owed his life) or people justifying war as having to protect themselves (which they do) show how difficult war becomes. How it self perpetuates into an endless cycle of death and destruction. There will always be reasons to fight when your in it but everyone ignores the whys that start it. It’s always about greed and control and taking, and nothing is sacrosanct not even life. Dimash is a peacemaker. He’s not trying to convert anyone from their ideologies, (he was not trying to take a dig at Christianity, it was included in the group of people doing the right thing and on their way to heaven), (and no. I don’t understand the significance of the man falling other than to remind you of the starkness of life and death, ashes to ashes, dust to dust kind of thing to remind you that the flesh dies but your soul goes to heaven), he’s simply trying to take war off the table of options. Because we all know he’s right, we need to be reminded that war is a choice, we really don’t have to go there . Peace is the way of the world, we all believe in it and want it. So let’s do it already.

    Dear,
Thank you very much for your reaction to Dimash's newest work. This piece of art shook me to the core, and still resonates in me.
I am not a believer, in the Christian sense (spiritual in the broader sense, but not a believer), because I believe that one can treat one's fellow human beings with decency, respect and charity as equals and care for the world we live in, even without regularly going to a church. In addition, my husband grew up in the spirit of Buddhism - he now hardly practices his faith either. Our circle of friends is motley; Christians, Buddhists, Jews, Muslims, Atheists and Hindus, all rather on the liberal spectrum of their faiths.
I don't think Dimash has converted to Christianity, or ever will. Why should he? He is completely at home in his Muslim spirituality and we love, respect and revere him exactly as he is.
Lots of love from Switzerland 🤗🇨🇭

Thank you for your sincere reaction. When I first heard this MV, it broke me, I became very emotional, it was heart wrenching! 😢
Dimash has worked hard for 3 years on this MV, and it turned out to be his most valuable MV, in the ideological sense, ever made, a real Masterpiece! I believe that Dimash deserves THE NOBEL PEACE PRIZE, for his selfless hard work and tireless efforts in trying to bring the world together in love, peace and unity. He is a Legend and will go down in History.
The mini movie is full of symbolisms, it's the story of 3 youths, 1) Dimash, who was drowning at the beginning and at the end; 2) Piper, the one who saved Dimash, and who became the leader, and who was killed by Dimash at the end; 3) The young girl, became Dimash’s future wife who gave birth to his son at the end, and Dimash's daughter who was killed by the Piper's army. They were all torn by the war.
For the symbolic aspects, Dimash is showing the different cultures and religions (Catholicism, Islam, Buddhism, Hindi, etc.), through the throat singing, which is called the REQUIEM (mass for the souls of the dead), from different religions. The Pilgrim or (Shepard or a Wise Man) at the end of the video was Dimash’s baby boy, born in his image and grows up to guide the Representatives of different religions and race from different Nations to the light, for a new beginning living together in peace, tolerance, love and harmony.
    I'm choosing life!! 🙏🙏

Dimash is pointing out the fact that all of we humans, regardless of nationality, gender, race, sexual orientation, language or religion live on the same tiny speck called Earth, in our humongous, never-ending universe, and we all share the same sky, and we all have respect for, even worship, whomever or whatever it was that created us---whether we call that entity God, Allah, Cosmic Fusion or something else. Yes, but I don't think he is suggesting that we give up our own beliefs. The people in the video each carried the symbols of their various religions as they all walked together. I am also a Christian so I do believe that God has shown in the Bible who He is and how He wants people to worship Him. But I think that as you said, people of all religions are seeking God and are trying to follow Him in the way that they believe is best. For sure religions should be working for peace and should NOT be the ones leading wars (as in the past many, including Christianity, have been guilty of doing.) I think it's too bad that we have some sort of "taboo" against talking about religious beliefs. We can get caught up in trying to make others believe as we do which just leads to arguments. As the bit at the end said, "Open dialogue" is better. We can understand why we choose the beliefs we have and we can try to treat eachother as valued family members who have different opinions but still want the best for each other.

❤️ For me, this film mostly expressed how much responsibility we each have to recognize when people striving for power and money distort the true, pure content and message of religions and use them to divide us. For example, when a Christian patriarch, Kirill, announces in a church that men should go to Ukraine, because those who fight and die there are forgiven and go to heaven, or when Muslim religious leaders kill a woman because she does not wear a headscarf. There is no leader who can come to power if we do not support him, if the masses do not support him. If we understand God's most important message to be love, this could not happen.

The video shows once again that Dimash is an absolute genius. In singing but also as an actor and as a storyteller. The powerful message conveyed by this video is more relevant today than ever. I think this video is mostly about the message. This message is for the first time more important than his vocal abilities. His voice is just the tool in this video. But indispensable and simply indescribable. His singing is indescribable and I don’t have the words to express it adequately. But it is only the mediator of what this video is about. This is so heartbreaking and sad and an awesome masterpiece. Pure goosebumps.
He composed this song for three years. The premiere was on September 24, 2022.
As some have mentioned, this video should be seen by many people. It may be very brutal for some. But let’s not forget that for many, including children, this is everyday life in some countries. And Dimash relentlessly shows us how ugly war is.
If you want to know more about this video check out dimashnews.com
The girl on the beach was his future wife. And she gave birth to her second child in the video. The littel girl who was shot was Dimashs and her first daughter. Desperation has led him to kill his former friend. Dimash in the last sequence of the video was the baby that was born and now as a grown man unites people of different nationalities and religions for peace.
Btw, Dimash has received an Award from Pope Francis personally at The Congress of the Leaders of World and Traditional Religions held in Kazakhstan on September 13, 2022. He performed the song there in connection with the congress before the premiere. And yes, Dimash is and will remain Muslim.

Dimash is Muslim but he promotes dialogue, peace, love and understanding. You missed the references to the other faiths referenced in the video - Muslims, Jews, Buddhist and Christian. The procession is indicative that we all leave this earth and walk the path to afterlife. It is not a message of one faith over another, but a message of humanity. I do believe in Jesus, but I’ve read and learned at least that Judaism, Christianity and Islam are all derivatives of the same original prophet. Tolerance and understanding begin when we can understand and respect other perspectives and beliefs. Each one of us has the responsibility to learn about our neighbours and how to communicate with one another. Praying for peace from Canada.

If they choose not to or have a different religion as does Dimash, we still love them. As for Dimash, he is Muslim and in this video he was just making a point that we need to be accepting of everyone else be they Christian as are we, Muslim, Jewish, etc rather than hatred. He has called for peace always and I think at the end of this video son born to him grew up and he is leading people in light and not darkness. Today we have a very dark world.

The parts about the people walking in the desert represent the seekers of truth throughout history. These include people from all religions, including as you saw, Christians, represented by the cross; Muslims- reading the Qur’an, wearing the white pilgrim garb; Jews- blowing the shofar, wearing the tallit; Buddhists- the red robes and the “Om…”
They may have to weather storms, they may die in this pursuit, but inward and upward they will go, “following the light”. Notice that they each follow their own truth but they all walk together toward the same light.
    And yes, I’m Muslim too.

This is a 3 year job where Dimash has put all his love and pain. You have to watch the entire video to understand. It is a call to peace. Dimash has been prioritizing this for a long time and transmitting a message of peace wherever he goes. We are all different, we have different beliefs, but is it so difficult to respect someone who believes in something other than what I believe? Is it so hard not to believe that I have the absolute truth and that the other is wrong? Wars should never be the option. Dialogue and respect should prevail over everything else, but wars are started by people with power for their own interests, which we all already know what they are and the variety of them that exist. In the video he shows us the most important religions walking together. It shows us that when the character he plays decides to take revenge that is not the way to go either, he does so by showing us how everything darkens and the pilgrims have a hard time moving forward. In the end we see her adult son walking with the others, all of them with different beliefs but with the ability to understand each other and see the same goal, peace above all else, as a priority with dialogue, respect and tolerance.

You tried, young man, and clicked a 'like', but you'll have to watch this video many more times to fully understand it. And to help you, I'm posting below a reading of this masterpiece by a youtuber, which - in my opinion - is the only one so far that explains everything. Good luck, my friend.
“This is subtitled “Requiem”, but it is also a vision and a call to action.
Dimash is steeped in sacred music and has a deep understanding of the music teachings and symbolism of the major world religions as well as Kazakh shamanism. It is not by coincidence that the first performance of this work took place on September 14 at the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions. The written statement at the end of the video is directly from the “Document on Human Fraternity for World Peace and Living Together”, signed jointly on February 4, 2019, by Pope Francis and the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Ahmed el-Tayeb. Dimash met and spoke (and received a medal from Pope Francis for his contributions to the World of Peace) with both men at the September meeting.
Everything Dimash does is intentional, and this piece has layers that would take a dissertation to unravel. I’ll only touch on some of what struck me.
1 The pendant is an interesting element. It is a gnomon from a maritime compass sundial. This triangular blade is attached to the sundial, casting a shadow on the sundial, while the perforated pinhole projects the image of the sun onto the dial. It was used for both timekeeping and navigation, with the gnomon oriented to True North. In the Music Video, the child who later becomes the military commander never puts on the necklace. After Dimash, the boy, gives his friend the pendant, the camera focuses on his hand and shows that his friend has bent the gnomon in anger over being rejected by the girl. Thus bent, it can never be oriented to True North, and he has lost his moral compass. Later, we see a version of the gnomon, but distorted and without the hole that allows light to shine through, as the military insignia on the uniforms of the commander and his soldiers.
2 Contemporary music is also present: with the phrase “We have passed the moment of Imagine”, Dimash reminds us that we are past the sentiments evoked by the song “Imagine” by John Lennon. It is time to stop dreaming about a world of peace and harmony. If we choose life, if we wish for peace, if we want a world without war for our children and grandchildren, we must act and take up the long hard path up the mountain towards the light. It is the only way.
3 The storyline is a very human one: we start as innocents until our hearts are broken, we fail, or our dreams are not realized. If in our pain and disappointment we turn to anger and blame instead of acceptance, power instead of love, greed and envy instead of generosity, hatred instead of forgiveness, and revenge instead of justice, we sow the seeds for conflicts that can turn into war.
4 The Piper’s Call is seductive as it promises redress for our grievances, control over our circumstances, and power over those who thwarted us, and this appeals to our wounded ego. However, let’s remember that the Piper is a symbolic figure of Death from the Middle Ages, often used as a metaphor for trusting and following charismatic but dangerous and malevolent leaders to certain death. Even if we resist, as the adult Dimash character does, we often employ the same methods and weaponry as the Piper, and thus those who fight back betray peace as well because peace cannot be won through violence. That is the dilemma of those of us who did not start the war, who do not support war, but are forced to respond in order to defend ourselves and those we love. How can we rid the world of evil without becoming what we fight against?
5 The burning sign “Waldenburg” is a reference to the end of WWII, when the US Army destroyed the last of the resistance by the German Wehrmacht to end the war in April of 1945. Many of the dead were women and children, because all men ages 15 through 75 were mobilized. So, the good guys defeated evil, but at what price?
6 The last movement is powerful: The cries over the loss of a beloved child and the cries of giving birth to new life are presented as a call-and-response grounded by a powerful Om chant that creates a sacred space, reminding us that death and life are both sacraments and are interwoven. Dimash’s vocalization and the pilgrims representing world religions and religious leaders, past and present, walking together shift the narrative toward the final conflict and finally redemption. When Dimash’s character decides to avenge the murder of his daughter, his state of consciousness is reflected in the darkening sky with lightning bolts of anger accompanying the storm of his emotions that struck the pilgrims sharply. The fog of war obscures the light. When he is killed after exacting retribution, he is dropped back into the “sacred womb” of Earth, the ocean of love and mercy and is cleansed of the old hatreds and grievances that only bring more death and suffering. He breaks the wheel of endless war by choosing life. Dimash’s scream “We’re choosing life” is that of giving life: the old earthly consciousness of an eye for an eye has to die to make way for a new spiritual consciousness that embraces all life. Soul is breaking free to return to its natural state of love and purity as examplified by the images of the children and the newborn baby.
The blowing of the shofar signals God’s mercy for humankind when it turns from wrong to right.
Reborn as a leader for peace and love, Dimash’s character becomes a guide for all of mankind on our shared journey up the mountain towards the light of God, however we may interpret or name the divine. We are all on the same path, even if our personal narratives, cultural heritage and spiritual orientations are very different from one another. By focusing on our common destination rather than on our differences, we can walk together in peace and love and mutual respect. Dimash is showing us how.
Carl Jung, a Swiss psychiatrist and psychoanalyst who founded analytical psychology, wrote: “Knowing your own darkness is the best method for dealing with the darknesses of other people. One does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light, but by making the darkness conscious. The most terrifying thing is to accept oneself completely. Your visions will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.”
This is what Dimash has done with this work: he has made the darkness conscious. We can only raise our individual and collective consciousness by bringing to light what needs to be healed in our lives and our world, and then we need to work together to restore wholeness to what is broken and bring about peace and unity, one step at a time.”
We don’t have to wait. We can start right now. This is Dimash’s message to those in power. He urges them to follow their hearts. He tells them that nothing that exists is, or could ever be, outside of God. We are never outside of God - and never without God within us.

Someone wrote that Putin got upset about this video. His handlers advised him to not strongly promote it in Russia. What a lovely, kind person of peace. The video should be the anthem of the world.

I thank Dimash. He points out that NO Holy Book promotes death among men. I thank him for his clarification, because today there is a tendency to affirm that it´s the religions that divide us. It's not religions, it's US, men. Dimash shows us in his "One Sky" how we men can completely ruin the meaning of the most beautiful and good symbols. That tender symbol of childhood friendship, one of them transforms it into a symbol of hatred and war... The Nazis wronged the sacerd Star of David, using it as a symbol of the extermination of a race. Some Muslims disregard the Mercy suras of the Koran, transforming them into justification for the cruel persecution of "the infidels". And yes, sadly, some orthodox Christian Patriarch today, takes the Cross, symbol of Love and redemption, to change it into a condemnable cry of "holy war" that is causing countless deaths of innocents... Let's not blame the religions. Because it is WE, human beings, who confront each other, divide ourselves, and it´s OUR OWN DECISIONS that choose the path of hatred and darkness, despising the light of mercy and love. Thank you, Dimash, by heart.

Of course, Dimash is a Muslim, and he is not going to change his faith. This video is about other things. Dimash tells us: You can believe in different things, but your faith must lead you to light and goodness. It is a unifying, positive ideology. The procession of travelers is an eternal thorny path to the light of souls who have known and accepted this truth. This is the path of the righteous of various eras, races, cultures and religions (you should not isolate only Christian symbols close to your heart) along the path of redemption. The soul of a warrior through suffering, loss and disappointment at the moment of death learns the insight that the highest value is life. Through this illumination, his soul is reborn in the body of his newborn son, and adjoins other awakened souls. Now he will never be a warrior, he will never take up arms, he will be a shepherd who will feed his flock. Dimash is a Muslim, and the idea of reincarnation is not the ideological core of his religion. Reincarnations in this video are just an artistic technique for conveying the main message - the primary value of human lives.

The video, which uses a variety of musical themes and techniques, is the result of Dimash's three-year composing work. The music video is based on a script written by himself.
The clip is divided into several parts. The first is childhood. The main character, his boyfriend and girlfriend are connected by children's stories and symbols of eternal friendship (hourglass). One day a friend saves the main character when he is drowning. However, there is already competition in this children's story, because the boys are in love with the girl, and she chooses the hero Dimash. The second one undergoes a kind of psychological destruction and transfers children's problems into the adult world of totalitarianism and struggle.
After becoming president, the Antagonist harbors the idea of a war for salvation:
"Only war will lead us to peace. Only the strongest can find love in their hearts. You have to be strong enough to give the world freedom...."
The main character also talks about unity, about peace, but through the prism of love.
In the process of fighting, he is confused, shocked, but must save his family: his pregnant wife (this childhood girl) and daughter. Once at home, he is horrified by the photos of dead people and realizes that his family is also dead. He moves towards the Antagonist to get revenge. However, his wife survived with the help of people who know that it was she who gave birth to a son who could save the world. These are people of different nationalities and faiths who have united for the whole world. The parallel line of pilgrims consists of people of different religions who are on a difficult path to a place that will illuminate this world. United, they create a common energy in which the son of the main character is born.
I recommend taking a look at the interpretation of the "The Story of One Sky" when it was first presented from the stage at the Seventh Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions held in Astana (Kazakhstan) in mid-September. One of the listeners was Pope Francis, who later met with Dimash and presented him with a commemorative medal of friendship. ⬇️
