This one is holy SHIT so pretty i cant believe this is for fishing. What an incredible art form. That it also has important utility boggles my mind bc of how stunning the pieces are, but it makes sense! Replicating beautiful creatures that are also the food of what you want to catch, an amazing skill. Thank you for sharing this with us.
I never expected that nail art and fly tying had so much overlap 😂 I also discovered that Kreinik, the company that makes my metallic embroidery threads, also sells tons of fly tying materials. I love watching you work!
I have very bad anxiety that sometimes prevents me from sleeping. I’ve been watching your videos almost every night to help me sleep. Thank you so much for making my nights more peaceful. ❤ These are beautiful pieces of art.
Beautiful, amazing work as always. I would love love to see more cinematic shots like you had in the beginning and end! Also, I love the wide angle but sometimes your hair or face was covering the actual tie which made it a bit distracting but overall fantastic video!!
What kind of vise do you use? Looking at all the options is rather overwhelming and the one you have seems rock solid. Your bobbin holder is also interesting compared to the ones I’ve seen - what is it? I need one yesterday, it looks like it spools the line much easier than the pinch-style bobbins I’ve been using.
@@shetiesflies Thank you kindly for taking the time to reply. Your channel has been a boon in learning to tie flies and experiment with making my own patterns. I’ll be looking into those - thanks again, and cheers from South Florida. Tight lines!
I'm curious, do you have a large stash of materials on hand like many of us who craft? *looks guilty* I would love someday to see a tour of your workspace and your supplies storage!
Absolutely! I considered making this exact video and may in the future. I’ve been a fiber artist for over a decade, so I have a room dedicated to all the things - spinning, knitting, weaving, sewing, felting, and now fly tying 😊
Thank you so much! Yes, if the fly makes sense for the Tampa area we try to fish them. I’m still learning to fly fish, but I get better each time we go out! 😊

You are the Bob Ross of fly tying. Would love to hear you describe your process and materials while tying.
The highest of praise! Thank you so so much! Working on fitting some soft-spoken videos into the work flow 😊
I second this notion the best fly tying I’ve seen

Thank you so much for watching!! I do love that this art is functional! 💙

I never expected it either!! I'll have to look up Kreinik. Glad you're loving the videos!
Loving the push and pull slow-mo shots!
Thank you! Love that you noticed those cinematic shots!
i dont even fish but this was mesmerizing to watch!
Thanks!
Very unique. I've never thought of using hackle as a bushy tail. Usually, I use marabou for tails, but that's an interesting idea.
Amazing as always! I love the colors
Thank you so much!! The colors and the zonker claws were my favorite part of this fly!

Hearing this makes it so easy to keep making more! I have anxiety as well, and I empathize!! So glad I could help in a small way. Sleep well! 😴
Absolutely brilliant. So colourful and fluffy.
Thank you! I loved the colors on this one. So fun to tie!!
absolutely beautiful work! love the intriguing working process, and your whisper sounds really nice, i wish could hear more.😊

Thank you!! We got a new camera and lens so I’m definitely figuring out my in-frame boundaries again. So glad you liked those cinematic shots!!
Excellent, as always.
Much appreciated! 💙
Love your videos 🙏💯
I sincerely appreciate that! Thank you so much!!!
Great craw! Little complicated for my skills, but must try. Thank you.
Thank you!! I had so much fun with the materials on this one! I'm confident you could do this - just takes patience more than anything!
Ya got me girl....... I'm hooked.....😁🤦
Mission accomplished!! 💙

I’m tying on a Peak vise and it’s definitely solid! No issues so far. The bobbin is a standard Rite Bobbin. I really dig the tension dial on the side!

Love to hear it! Tight lines (and wraps)!
So glamorous! This crayfish is ready to go clubbing. Crayfish clubbing, or Crubbing, if you will.
☺️🤣🤣 It’s been a while since I’ve been crubbing!
This is soooo cute but also... can you tell me what fingernail polish that is??? Lol its also very cute
I wish I could remember! I’ll ask next time I get my nails done!

Do you personally use the flys you make? They are so beautiful! You are really talented
Thank you so much! Yes, if the fly makes sense for the Tampa area we try to fish them. I’m still learning to fly fish, but I get better each time we go out! 😊
A pair of these would make a very pretty set of earrings for a special lady.
Agreed!!
What camera do you use???
Sony Alpha Series 🤣
If I was a fish, I'd be like, "Bro we can't eat that - it's too pretty!" XD
🤣🤣🤣
😋
me, not a fish: hey where'd the hook go
Mission accomplished!
