    Great video! What's your recording and editing setup? The audio is excellent!

      On this one I’m pretty sure I used an AKG C-414 B-ULS condenser mic, into a Focusrite SaffirePRO, and then into the computer. I used Logic for recording, and used some inserts on the track like parametric EQ and probably Silver Verb. I think I used izotope for mastering. I can remember laboring over tone on this one. 😂

      @@thejazzassignment Really appreciate the information and very much enjoy your videos. I've only been playing for short time and have made videos of myself as a learning tool but have struggled trying to find a recording setup that gives a natural tone like yours. Thanks again!

      @@golf4funjn532 I'm glad to help, and honestly it is a real challenge to get a natural sound on the trumpet in a small room. The trumpet sound develops over distance. I think one other thing that I worked with on this video was mic placement. Not too close (probably 2 feet away?), and maybe 15-20 degrees off axis? I try not to blow straight into the mic (usually). Keep it up! It's worth the work!
