After watching episode 8 I count this a the TRUE FINALE! Episode 8 next week then into season 2!!
If you look at the photos on the wall of blitz apartment all the ones with him in it are blacked out. You nailed it on the horns on blitz and his emotions.

19:54 exactly! It was at this moment that blitz "knew" he wasn't "worth" loving! I have been saying that since this episode aired! Blitz hounds moxie and millie because he wants love, true love, but he just doesn't understand what it is! At this point, he doesn't know what it even feels like, incomprehensible.

I think youve nailed Blitz's thought process here, especially on how he views M&M's relationship. On a night he would otherwise be alone, all he wanted was to watch them have a great anniversary dinner. Usually storylines like this end up with the character meddling or causing problems for the people they're following, but Blitz was just observing and even exposed himself in front of an ex and a rival to defend them.
I also like that you picked up on Blitz's facial expressions during the 'house of asmodeus' song. He's trying to feign disinterest, but he seems self-conscious of the way he's percieved by Stolas and the other club guests
When I first watched this, i wasn't expecting to see Blitz so upset at the end. Seeing the photos he holds onto i think says a lot about how important those relationships were or still are.
yea those little details really added to his character im excited to see how it goes in the next season!

Asmodeus is my favorite of the sins (yes even over Lucifer) and hes voiced by the same dude who does the voice of Vortex (Loona's crush) James Englehart. He was the Genie in Aladdin on broadway and had a short stint as Jefferson in Hamilton too. TALENT! ❤
Fun Fact: The sly grin Blitzo gives Jesse upon emerging from the dumpster resembles the memed face Spongegbob Squarepants makes in the episode "Just One Bite" 👑👑👑

So yeah the finale situation hahaha, this IS technically the finale, episode 8 is like a companion episode to this one but it was delayed for a LONG time because of Kesha's legal situation, they wanted her to guest star but using her voice in any production during that time was tricky. Thankfully they eventually figured it out!

I'm a working voice actor myself, and while I'm not totally against celebrities from other fields doing voice acting I tend to generally groan when I see it simply because we get sidelined and lose work just because somebody's name has star power *coughchrisprattasmariocough* but sometimes they just have a knack for it and Kesha HAD IT, loved her as Bee. 💜
Also my bad double commenting but somebody pointed out to me that a lot of high ranking people, CEOs, rulers, ect, they tend to prefer being submissive in bed - it's like they have a lot of decisions and responsibilities during the day so they find it freeing to have somebody else take control in bed. Totally makes sense for Stolas when I thought about it
This is a true fact. Those in power with a lot of responsibilities want time to just have someone take over, to give them time to not think or worry about anything other than pleasing the one person they trust, to be powerless and vulnerable (in a safe, sane, consensual manner with a Safe Word in place, or Safe Signal if they are unable to speak for any reason).

You at right about Blitz wanting to have have that connection… that relationship. However you a little off on his reason why he don’t go for it. Blitz has server PTSD and massive self hatred issues. In this episode when you see in go into his apartment you can see a ton of photos on the walls. If you look closely he has scratched/makes out every single photo of himself. Not a single picture on the walls shows his face. He can’t stand to see himself. He thinks he isn’t worthy of love.
When he gets a relationship that starts getting to “real” he self sabotages it. His Ex Verosika, she loved him even got a tattoo of his name on her arm. He ruined the relationship on purpose because he thinks de don’t deserve happiness.

Well that and also he probably thought that Verosika was going to leave his life eventually so why not sabotage the relationship before she could leave him and he probably thought that would make it hurt less when the “inevitable” happened. Or maybe he was seeing how far he could go before she had enough.
@@silversuperfan1412 that’s a part of it. When people have the kind of self worth issues that Blitz has, they tend to think they people can’t love/truly care for them. So ending things on their terms is a defense mechanism so they don’t get hurt then people leave them. In Blitz’s case, he was taught by his father that he is only good for transactional reasons. His father sold him for 5 bucks and a slim fit. His father gave notes to Fizz saying “I wish you were my son” when Fizz showed how good he was at stuff. It is why Blitz feels more comfortable in transactional relationships and thinks he NEEDS to be useful to be wanted.
Blitz has severe psychological trauma that makes him think of himself like this. It is really sad and he desperately needs to find himself a good therapist.
