Great work Chuck. My MOEN Brecklyn Single-Handle Pull-Out Sprayer Kitchen Faucet has been leaking from the same spot for a long time. Rather than change out the faucet head I attempted a repair. There is a single #7 O-ring that fits in the screen filter inside the faucet handle. It had shrunk and gotten a little brittle. I changed it out with a new one and also put one down the hose side around the white plastic washer at the base which also looked a little worn. It was a perfect seal and the faucet works great now. Just putting this out there for people who may be outside your service area. I'm in West Central FL. With our hard water there's tons of work down here if you ever get sick of the cold.
I want to thank you so much for your video! I'm a single Mom, and as a homeowner too, I try to tackle small repair jobs myself to save on expensive repair bills. After watching your video, I felt confident that I could replace the handle on my Moen Extensa faucet & am happy to report that I did just that, and my sink no longer leaks! Thank you! 😁
My faucet was leaking at the pull-out spout like this one. Took it off, checked the o-ring, then reinstalled it. Turns out it was just loose. Thanks for the video!
Wow. I just spent 2 hours going to the store changing the flex hose. Thinking about pulling the whole sink out. But it was just a simple twist of the faucet nut. Thanks bro
I had the exact same problem. I used the Moen replacement option a few years ago too, so it is nice that they have that option, I forgot about it. So since it is Saturday I have to wait til Monday to call, so in the mean time I used plumbers tape and that worked fine. Now I am debating whether to call Moen at all? I might just have it on hand for the future.
Does Moen replaces the parts free of charge? I have the exact same issue with my Moen kitchen faucet right now. Not sure if I should replace the entire faucet. Found a Glacier Bay pull out for only $30. But I would rather keep my Moen if salvagable.
Have almost the exact same model. The threaded part seals fine, but the hose is leaking at the spot where it meets the shiny metal cylinder. What do I do?
I don't suppose you remember the model number for the head replacement. I have the exact same model, or so it seems from the pictures, and I have the same leaky head problem but I assume I'll need to know the model number when I contact Moen. So far I've been unable to locate a model number on the unit and I don't have the original packaging.
Mine leaks from the ball joint, it pulls out from the ball joint and falls back under the sink. There's a tiny piece of plastic that retains the ball joint and it's worn out, any idea how to find that little piece of plastic? @Chuck Barron
I'm having the exact same issue. I tried tightening the hose at the faucet but it still leaks. I guess I should remove it, take it to Lowes and see if they have a replacement that's just like it?
@@ChuckBarron actually, nevermind. I just had to tighten it with a wrench. It would still leak when tightened by hand. Would you recommend Teflon tape? Also, do you happen to have the model number for this faucet? I couldn't find mine so I had to buy a universal one and it works but is a mismatch.
I know this video is 4 yrs old but I have a Moen pull out with that kind of hose with an aluminum tip with a grid instead of smooth stainless. Where can I find that ? My leak is on that tip. Thanks
Love the customer talking in the background haha! I am having a problem of the faucet head not unscrewing from the actual hose. It looks like it has a bronze clamp of some sort. Do I need a special tool to pull the two tabs on the bronze clamp? I think it's the clamp that is holding the hose into the faucet head.
I've had to contact MOEN customer service for an issue I had on a bathroom faucet, and they were helpful. That's why I use a lot of MOEN fixtures, etc.
Do they have a lifetime warranty?? I have a leaking Moen Edwyn Pre-Rinse Spring Spot Single Handle Pull-down Kitchen Faucet & my husband said it was leaking from one of the H/C hose & my cabinet was soaked!
Moen is good for replacing the parts but customer service call wait time is long and the part I needed was on back order for over a week. Still waiting. . .
Hi, what version of the faucet is this? I have the exact same one and it's leaking at the exact same place. please kindly point me to the right direction. What do I need when I call Moen? Thank you
That was pretty grueling, hope you rested up afterwards, lol. Always nice to get the easy one's in between the one's that make you wonder why you got involved. Thanks Chuck!
wore me out.......lol. I had to take lunch after. I was surprised they just mailed the spout. The tech made it sound like hose was being sent too. It was close to being a 5 minute job instead of a 2 minute fix. Ha. The Good, The bad and the ugly.....lol
Hi Chuck. Can you please provide me with the model number for this Moen faucet. I have one at my place that has a defective aerator, but I do not know the model number to get a replacement sprayer head from MOEN. Thank you in advance!
In my case, it was easy as Moen sending me an O-ring where the hose meets the spout. Not terribly happy with the faucet since it doesn't stay on one setting i.e. spray mode.
@@bgregg55 I don't know that "supply house" is a common phrase. I'm old and I'd never heard it. I'm aware that there are stores that are almost exclusively "commercial sellers." The one I've visited REALLY gouges consumers.

Moen is frickin' garbage! I am replacing the 3rd one in 4 years. They don't honor any warranty, either. I don't know what this plumber is talking about because I called Moen and they told me to just take it back to crappy Home Depot.

So did you need to replace the whole spout or just the washer?
how do you fix it when it is the other part leaking. I have three tiny pin holes in the hose part of the sink... not the head :D Thank you

best to call that company tech support line. They will get you parts.
I have a faucet that leaks at the sprayer switch where you switch the faucet to solid stream.
Okay, but how do you get the neck off? Mine needs some plumbers grease applied. Never mind. It just needed some elbow grease. Keep up the good work.

Moens customer service is second to none. That’s why I only buy Moen.
In my case, it was easy as Moen sending me an O-ring where the hose meets the spout. Not terribly happy with the faucet since it doesn't stay on one setting i.e. spray mode.
It's usually the hose. The plastic piece where the ball rotates to make the swivel wears and the water simply runs down the hose
Are there any pull out faucets that dont develop a leak every couple years?
I like supply house grade moens.
@@ChuckBarron So I'm guessing u mean the plumbing stores & the big chain DIY stores sell different models?
yes home depot and lowes sell a lesser grade than supply houses. Thats why they a bit cheaper.
