Interesting. I haven't had a single issue with the mag compatibility, and to my knowledge I haven't heard of anyone else experiencing that. Also I didn't experience much bog down at all! Perhaps you got a lemon?
@@foamquest Nice 👌 also in future for batteries rather than using the amazon basic ones, prehaps use the duracell optimum double aa's as they can boost performance in some cases, hope you don't mind me saying 😊
Very happy we have some new Rivals, especially a motorized one. It looks great, and the barrel mystery is a nice touch. To bad about the mags. Still, looking forward to picking one up, thanks for the review!
Overall I think the challenger is really cool and i cant wait to see what the community does with it, with the magazine compatibly issue when walcom did his review his didnt have any issues with the older mags.
All the Accu series rival mag fed blasters the mag is a bit different, you can buy or print little wedge pieces to mod older mags to work, out of darts sells them, and the modded mags still will work in older nerf blasters.
I tested, and the challenger does indeed work with the mirage magazine. Update: the challenger mag works in the mirage but it has to go in backwards, and to get it out, u gotta take out 3 of the grip screws to get it out.
I think as a secondary its awesome with the sling points easily weild able at the hips just not meant for sliding on kept up or on your back hopefully nerf will come to there senses and bring more attachments to Rival as the did for elite 2.0 maybe box mags stock attachments counters
It's good to see more Rival. This might be a hot take, but I think everything that can be done with a dart blaster has already been done. Balls > darts
I don't 100% agree, with the darts part, but I'm all for more (good) Rival. The latest couple batches have been pretty good. Have to say the price on the Challenger is great, and I think this thing is going to be an extremely popular mod platform.
Good Review! I like the look of this thing. I find magazine compatibility with nerf frustrating. If they at least gave you two mags, or sold extras, it would be better. Also, I know many people keep comparing this blaster to Warhammer, but I see Gears of War lol.
Bought this today at target for $17 (Sale ends on 8/30/24). Pretty solid plinker that can truly destroy someone at close range. Mostly bought it for its price and Bolter aesthetic.
I feel like with a 12v system... it should be shooting 115-120fps stock. That is my biggest gripe about this blaster so far. Also, if you can't use the old magazines, that also sucks.
Hmm, the one I'm most familiar with is Blastertime. It's a website, and I think they offer products from many blaster brands. Their prices seemed fair to me, but you'll have to check it out! Hope this helps!
I love the design they went with for this one, but seeing repeated simple mistakes like lacking compatibility with previous magazines is seriously getting old. I think this blaster could’ve been a lot more, I’ll pass on it. Great review!
Great review! I feel like this blaster is a perfect in the secondary role
This would be a great secondary!

Prehaps he did, and in walcoms video, he didn't experience any magazine compatability issues.
I am beginning to wonder. I'll test it with more original magazines to see if it is an issue with my specific model!

@@jackboulter4901 Not a bad idea! :)
@@foamquest Yep ☺️
It's crazy to me that Hasbro continues to mess up their Rival line with wonky magazine feeding issues.

I love this blaster it's so fun I reviewed mine yesterday

Oh, interesting. I haven't watched many other reviews on this blaster. But maybe I'll have to do more magazine compatibility testing!

💀
If your taking out screws to get it out... it don't fit properly... just stop.. your comment is completely moot

Yeah, we'll see about the attachment thing. More for the rails would be great! And I'm very curious how/if the Rival barrel idea turns out!

You’re a good nerf RUclipsr! I need to study your videos! You gave me the courage to make videos!
That makes me really happy! Awesome!
I can't wait to get my hands on this blaster. I hope they sell more banna mags separately.
2-3 seconds? That thing takes far too long to fire the first projectile.

I would definitely have appreciated an extra magazine in the box!

Great Review Foam Quest i really love the blaster I am surprised with the mag compatibility but I still think the blaster is pretty cool
Yeah, while it's not 100% perfect, the blaster is still pretty cool!
Could use a n strike stock attachment but overall seems like a great blaster
Yeah, that would've been cool!
They want you to use it like a mp40
Great Review!
Thank you!
I'm only going to buy this for the magazine... for personal reasons I won't share.
Bro what?
💀
Hallo, I'm from Ukraine, and x-shot's, dart zone's blasters are double of price here, compared to USA😢. Do you know any good shops in Europe?

Thanks a lot! Really good shop, will see how much shiping cost there

Thats tuff
I will still use my Perses. I favor the Perses over this one.
The Perses is hard to top!
