Kenshin is Hiko main disciple, as well as his adopted son. Hiko studied the Kenshin network when he was young, and took him on as a student. Hiko taught Kenshin the martial art Hiten Mitsurugi Ryū for many years, but he quit when he completed his training. Years later, Kenshin returned to ask Hiko to help him become stronger so he could stop Shishio Makoto.

@howardlo7841 Hiko was way cooler in the original version. His lines were more epic and he doesn't make a fool of himself in front of kenshin like in this one

Well, he did has some bits of comedy when it comes to his ego, but they exagerated too much I think
