It wasn't ahead of its time. It looked that it belonged to that era and was in line with 118 NE and Contessa. It was reliable and cheap to run which wasn't the case with any car before maruti. I'd say the Tata Sierra/Estate, Sipani Montego, Daewoo Cielo, Standard 2000 were ahead of their time.

15:30 bruh ₹47.5 k in 1983 is roughly equivalent to ₹8.1 lakhs in 2023. You cannot compare two different products from different eras without adjusting them for inflation for the current year. It will always provide misunderstanding. The 1983 800 is equivalent to a ₹810000 car in 2023. But perfect vlog as always.

When I had the money I bought it. I drove it like crazy...I drove it in the first day itself...never been on a driver seat before...but I loved cars since I was 19... So I know much I dreamed of driving sumos jeeps tractors... It was already there...no driving school nothing...then sold it for 23,000...😂ended up with a profit...

I have been habitual to see Carburettor Maruti's from my Childhood when my Dad bought MARUTI VAN in 1989 and after that 3 Maruti 800 and first BS2 Maruti Omni. What I have noticed that this car is taking long Cranking but Carburettor 800 starts in half Round Self Rotation as I have 99 model MARUTI 800 which is scrapped inspite of being in Immaculate Condition. So the Dristibutor Point must be set properly along with Carburettor Mixture Screw so that the car don't take long Cranking.
