@That V8 Life Adecent writer won’t repeat the word “house” twice there because it doesn’t read well. It makes sense to use a synonym. Abode, domicile, residence etc. all work to reduce repetition and add comedic effect.
Why are you making fun of him by saying he just learned the word? “Humble abode” is a common term and most people know what that means. Even if he did, you have to learn new vocabulary too. Everybody does

If you think about it the holocaust thing really was a monstrous act of ignorance. Few items are more loaded with emotions and pain. I was at several KZ in Germany and the mountains of shoes, dolls, it is so horrific and a testament to what we can be when we are not careful that it feels like sacrilege even touching it. Its like a time machine back to WW2. I get why it is a joke nowadays and drama+time equals comedy but this topic wow. Its great LD made it as a joke.
