For an expert player, by the time you can hire hedge knights you've won. The more interesting question is whether a new player should hire a hedge knight or spend that money on something else.
Hi. Do you happen to know a build that could make work of Great Ranged attack(97) and melee defense (35)? is thrower tank a thing? is leveling melee defense a trap?
at the beginning when you fought those poachers and thugs, so you moved back like 3 tiles hoping they'd charge. You need to move back like 8 tiles(adjacent the retreat tile ) then it will work. at least one of the poachers will chase you until they're in range. Then charge that one and as soon as you engage him they'll send everyone forward. I do that against marksmen. Saw deducter do it then I also gave it a go and its great!

Little late and possibly a bad idea, but I think a co-op campaign where you two split the company and build a half the way you want might be cool.

I think Sins is using some UI improvement one, maybe endurials? I think it's a collection mod of several smaller ones
