This was in 2012 at Woodstock Festival Poland (now known as Po'land'Rock Festival). That year there were an estimated 550,000 people in attendance. That would have been a blast to see in person. I saw Sabaton with HammerFall in 2019. They are amazing to see live. They brought the tank drum riser, but sadly the venue was too small for pyro.
Blimey that is a hell of an audience number. I think we will back n the world of Sabaton before to long as we have had a lot of people asked for further songs. thanks for the comment. The chance to learn more and chat is one of the main reasons we started doing this.
Songs about tanks by Sabaton... Panzerkampf, Steel Commanders, The future of warfare, and Panzer Battalion. In some respect even Defence of Moscow, and Primo Victoria, because there are a lot of tanks in those music videos. "The last battle" has a tank mentioned by its name, so that could qualify as well. Personally I wouldn't use Ghost division as an introduction to Sabaton, even tho it's a fun track and a good starter for a show.
It was a first for me with Sabaton and songs about tank divisions. I am sure we will be back round for more at some point. Thanks for the view and the comments. Really appreciated.
Once you learn about the 7th panzer division, those lyrics are purely perfection, they couldn't tell it better, just as a German on meth doing the same thing over and over with absolutely overwhelming force, they still hold to this day the biggest advance in 1 day and yes, they were part of the Poland invasion
Even though they are swedish, Sabaton is not played in swedish school to teach history more than in any other country. An individual teacher might chose to do so, but it's not at all sugested by the swedish school system in anyway. Probably rather to the contrary, as the (confused)mainstream swedish view of the band is that they are more or less a modern version of the wave of neo-nazi metal bands of the early 90ies. Even though they certainly are not neo nazi, in any sense - that is more or less the general view of the average Joe in sweden, as most media outlets tend to recall what happened in the 90ies.
Thanks for the heads up, it was on a thing i read that they were but always stand to be corrected. Thanks for the veiw and hope you enjoyed and watch more
You now have the official job of fact checker for Lacey. Anything to curb his web of lies. Joking aside thanks for the heads up and more importantly the view, comment and support.
Much appreciated. Our reach across Europe seems to be growing on a daily basis and we are ecstatic for it. Hopefully we can put some songs in your playlist that weren't in it before whilst you share songs you love with us.
Who could have imagined 50 years ago that singing about German Panzer in front of a Polish audience would go down so well. 👀
😆
It is bloody odd when you think of it that way. Thanks for the view. Much appreciated.
1939: Polish people getting attacked by Reich's army and having their country destroyed.
2022: Also polish people "-They are the pantzer elite!!!"
You should see them play the alternate Polish national anthems: “40:1” and “Winged Hussars”

Listened to it a few more times since and it is getting more and more catchy every time.
@@PopCultureProductions yeah, that's another factor, it clearly grows a lot :))
@@siniteanrazvan3298 I'm now looking forward to more.
I think he will tune in more to Carolus Rex, Lion form the North, or Carolean Payer. Musically the Carolus Rex Album is far more advanced.
Will speak to Lacey and see if he is up for doing reacts to this album like we have been with Rammstein
