Truly one of the most awesome visually inspiring pieces of movie making ever. The paused reaction of the lady is hilarious and from a technical perspective, the animation/compositing is extremely realistic on the cat and bird.
+Suchet B But dreadful error between the shot of the cat peering in looking up over(?) the bar above the door and the second side on shot where the cat is looking levelly ahead at the budgie. Just awful. Who was doing continuity ? Anyone ?

Why are people getting mad about the fact that since the budgie is male, then they must be gay? It's a cute advert about a cat and a budgie falling in love, no need to bring in a war on sexuality jfc.

This budgie is the double Of mine who passed on the 15th, keep watching it and thinking of him and smiling even though I've got tears dripping down my face. So cute ☺️
I'm sure someone must have pointed this out before now, but that budgie is a male - its cere (the bit above the beak where its nostrils are) is blue in males, and brown in females. The exact colour can vary depending upon health and age (or if it's an albino), but it is the most obvious way to sex budgies. Still a fun advert, though.

Was just thinking what other songs the cat could sing to the budgie ? What about , from grease , " you're the one that I want " , ha . Would work with the cat, not sure about the bird tho
9 years later and I wish we still had it as a kid this era of adverts was mixed you had the Andrex Puppies they will always be cute this one the Babies dancing in the Volvic Adverts, Kids Adverts were Hexbugs, you also had Cravendale with get your own Pussy as the Cats tried to nab the Milk then you had the bloody annoying PPI Adverts and Perfume Adverts. Now from what I do watch it's Car Insurance, Car Lease, Car, Perfume and Medical Adverts with Maccies and some others. My favourite was probably the Coke Cola Magic Advert as it featured Queen It's Kind Of Magic. During Football Coverage every other advert is Betting usually featuring Sweet Caroline or some Football releated song or Pun or ex Footballer and some Diesel Veichle Adverts tried to put a football in it to make it link. Give me the iconic adverts Apart from Christmas Adverts most I barely remember. The Meerkat Adverts aren't bad or the Avanti West Coast Turtle Advert with it on Rolling Skates.
This is my favourite tv advert at the moment. Whenever it's on I have to stop everything and watch it. Its just the best thing ever. Amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!

latest news released, 5 budiges died,12 budgies injured and 3 budgies are still in intensive care after this advert was made, a budgie spoksperson who wants to remain anonymous. Has stated that a contract has been placed on this cat, though the cats whereabouts are still unknown. A group of concerned ex police sniffer dogs have come forward to lend help in finding the said cat, the budgie defence force (BDF) is hoping for a fast out come in this horrific act of senless violence. and are demanding that Freeview give answers in their part in the making of this advert. It is also known, that there have been a few unsubstantiated reports of budgie attacks on owners that have freeview set tops in their houses.
Thank goodness you've brought the best ad in the World back - thank you. Why on earth would you want to swap it for the toys one in a jumble sale - far more inferior?! Has there been a petition to return this one? Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Fantastic ad, Your all I need to get by was a all time favorite of mine, And watching the kitty and budgie singing a romantic duet brought a tear to my eye, Both tammy and Marvin are still missed, Well done freeview, Love it, lets see more of the budding romance LOL it's so cute, And I know the budgie is a male, But it is just a advert, still brilliant though.

I assumed the cat was the male, hence the male voice, and the budgie a female, hence the female voice. Not a good assumption then?XD
