Yes, so glad I found this video. Out of nowhere, while out of town, my phone got a black screen. Couldn't figure out for the life of me what happened. Decided to RUclips...instead of Google for a way to resolve it and found this video. What a relief.

Every method involves a restart and releasing the power button UNTIL THE MOTOROLA LOGO APPEARS. Mine stays black and never displays the logo. Thinking about dropping the phone from my roof.

Everything in your video didn't help me, I'm not complaining because it makes me think maybe my phone's issue is more complex. I has been giving me minor problems every so often for the past few months but since I rarely use it I haven't been in a rush to do anything about it. I need to deal with my phone company. I still appreciate the time and detail you have put into this video.

It worked!!! Never had this issue with ANY other cell phones though, wonder if its some kind of issue exclusive to Motorola? Has happened twice now to me in less than a year. First time I had to whop it in the back to get it to start up, this time I just did the "hold start button" until your finger gets numb" to fix it right up! lol! Seriously, Motorola needs to look into this issue.

Mine turned on screen function at least but it was completely dead on top of the screen itself being messed up somehow but when i plugged it in before doing the tapping the white led in the top would flash like normal when charging. The tapping helped as I held the power button, I saw the dead battery signal and then tried plugging it in it wouldn't charge so I tried the blowing method of back in the Nintendo ds where u would blow on the game and the hole and then put it in and it worked 😅 and now it's charging slowly but surely

I dropped mine. Screen went black and staying. I feel vibration, hear my notifications and it rings. To answer my phone I have to run it out to my car and connect to Bluetooth so I can answer on my cars LCD screen. I don't know what to do. Massaging it, tapping, nothing. Hubby is deployed so calls are important and miss many bc I can't see who is calling until in car.

Mine will sometimes be a black screen when I go to unlock it. Can push the power multiple times and it eventually lets me swipe to enter password...anyone have this issue?
Unfortunately the tapping worked before, but it ran out of battery and switched off. Now it won't start, despite using the techniques again. This time no go. 😢

a month ago, my g73 screen went black, and tmobile guy told me hold power button down and it worked again but this time. it's not working. got this phone 5 months ago and it's already a lemon. i want my money back. this is ridiculous. i was better off back in the day with that dam cheap flip phone, at least that thing never broke down. hahaha.

The moto g and moto g stylus are garbage phones. they are usually phones sold through virtual carriers like boost or straight talk. IF THIS is the "fix", we bought crap electronics. I have sold and repaired cell phones for almost 20 years and what is being put out in the virtual carrier market is all garbage. Verizon and Tmoblie phones might be more spendy but they are WORTH EVERY PENNY so is their service in comparison
