This was the very first climb I headed towards from Palma on my first visit to Majorca a few years back.... it was scorching hot, and I was on standard gearing (big mistake) - I was pretty much crying from the half way point! It's a beast!
Loving the Lasty Suffer Series. Would love to see an onscreen power/HR/suffer score data too, and of course an upload to a dedicated Strava account at the end of it...
FINALLY!! A video that i've been waiting all this week.. kudos to you guys at GCN..!! :) seriously though, you guys should make a video like this, every week.. featuring Tom Last, the funniest climber of all time.. honestly, if i gotta choose between Contador's video or Lasty's video, definitely gonna watch Lasty's.. p/s: sorry Tom.. :) i kinda enjoyed, watching you suffering.. :D
Yuck, I feel his pain. I did a ride a few weeks ago with the biggest climb being 30-40 meters with a max gradient of near 18% I think. I was dying, I had to stop 3 times. No way could I climb for that long, that high.
in Italy we have a climb called sdruzzinà in Trentino Alto Adige it's 11 km with 12% average gradient 23% max gradient i don't know how much it is the elevation but i know he finish at sega di ala at 1215 meter
Have you tried the climb up to Castell d'Allaro on a road bike? It's situated on the top of a mountain in the middle of a popular route via Bunyola and Orient climbing the modest Col d'Honor. As I recall it 700 meter in height over 4 km, or was it the other way around? Anyway one hell of a climb without the proper bike.
Suppose you guys can mount a very small camera so we can watch the sprockets/ chainring movement to go hand in hand with that suffering meter, and put them on a cutout oh I don't know, like at the bottom left of the screen or something? Just a thought.
Looks like this is going to become a regular special. Lasty climbs the world.
I like that. "Lasty climbs the world."
How about Lasty suffers all around the world.
i actually think that would be a good feature for GCN. Lasty climbing iconic and big climbs around the world.
good idea!
Those faces make a Last-ing impression. Let's see more segments of Tom climbing.
Tom Last is now 'The Stig' of GCN. Love it, keep them coming.
Lasty.
Get some bloody compact cranks!
Hey ho! Well done Lasty! We locals call the climb Es Verger. Although Sobremunt can work too, as it means over the mountain. XD
2:20 - Si & Matt shooting the video: how to know when to replace your cleats :D
Wow, that man is charismatic!!
The production value on this video is what's truly epic. Nicely done.
Loving the Tom Last Suffer videos.. Hey next time can we arrange to have him do an Epic Climb in the rain.
This showed up in my feed today. Watching Lasty suffer up a climb. I had to watch again. And it even has Matt in it =)
"... there's still quite a long way to go!" Super-encouraging Matt Stephens...
loving that Alberto Contador style!
Matt almost runs Lasty into a guardrail. Crazy fan...

Just did the Monte Zoncolan in a sportive and I think it would be fun to see Tom ride up there!
We climbed this in Spring 2016, it's VERY steep. I blistered my front tubular coming back down it was so hot.
I'm thrilled that you are making lasty do the hard climbs.
ahh yes more of Tom's climbing face!
What a lucky bunch the GCN presenters are. Get to travel to all the best places doing something they really enjoy. And presumably get paid for it!
Doing a tour of europe trying the hardest climbs and decent would be really fun.
The double-vision part made MY lungs hurt!
Damn man, Tom did that climb for all of us :').
Why is watching Lasty suffer so much fun? I've set his gasping cough as my ringtone. Well done Lasty.

I was expecting Simon and Matt to zip past on e-bikes :p
From Houston sure wish we had climbs. Would be great for training threshold... hard as F to hold high power for long periods when it’s flat /)

Tom's climbing face is pure classic.
We want Tom Back!
3 minutes Lasty suffered from something I can definitely recall doing, almost riding off the road due to massive suffering.
Mechdur! He's earned it on that climb!
Wow, way to go Last!
Need to play some melodramatic music as he climbs. Would like to see his stats as he climbs heart rate and power, etc..
More lasty climbing please
2:50 into the film Lasty tries to flap his wings to be flying on the climb.
Lasty climbs like one of us! Thats why he's the best!
3:33 Beavis
Man, I live in Mallorca and I've never heard about this climb
GO LASTY!!
What gearing are you pushing on that Orbea?

Awesome-Epicness-Sufferring 👍 Why no GPS so you could officially check the gradient while climbing?
Lasty's the best for these! I hate videos of people coasting up climbs.
Yes! More of Lasty suffering!
Well done Lasty!!
Love these vids. Need to find one he has to walk!
I pushed "like" even before watching it :)

Cyclists in Borås in Sweden call it "födelsedagsbacken" in english it translates to "Birthday hill"
Great stuff Lasty
Wonder where Lasty falls on the GCN fitness totem pole. Above Matt below Dan? Tom pulls the same face on GCN training vids. Go Lasty!!

what do you eat or drink to get through something like that.. what do you eat the night before and in the morning?
I've done this climb, pretty epic indeed.
That was brutal.
that was epic. I feel the pain!!
Lasty + Climbs = BFF!
Suppose you guys can mount a very small camera so we can watch the sprockets/ chainring movement to go hand in hand with that suffering meter, and put them on a cutout oh I don't know, like at the bottom left of the screen or something? Just a thought.
Could Lasty please show us how to tackle Rosedale Chimneys in North Yorkshire? #epicclimb
epic!! you guys are great!
Please make a second channel devoted to Lasty Suffering Climbs!
awesome Lasty 👍
You did good lad... you did good.
Well done Lasty!
Couldn't tell if Matt had cycling shoes on or if he had poo'd himself when chasing after Lasty. He is getting to that age I suppose.
watching someone suffer from climbing uphill is kind of enjoyment hahaha
Great pain face Lasty!
Get a 32. Works fine with short cage
Tom should do Col de Marie-Blanque from Escot 9.5km maxing out at 15%
Funny, the things we consider fun!
Real-time heart-rate info would be great on these videos. Power info too if possible
Lasty is my hero.
turns out this is right on my doorstep, more worried about descending than climbing it.. any tips or an easier way down?
I would have stuck a 32 dinner plate on the back! Well done.
Would like to see some uk epic climbs there definitely are some
2:16 matt with the anti-motivation
lasty's got to work on his poker face! 😂
Where Lasty stops is not the actual top of the climb... He missed the dessert which is the best!
That climb is also known as "es verger d'Esporles"...
Chapeau Lasty! Wattage bazooka?
nice one lasty, what cassette and cranks were you running.
always nice to have some "supportive" colleagues. #malicious pleasure :p
Lasty wears his heart on his sleeve.
Credit for balls of solid rock Tom!
Great job, tough day at the off 😆
Even climbing the stairs looks hard with ''the Brick''!
