I’m looking at my junk jewelry box with a new eye and a lot of inspiration As a beader I always have leftovers and ugly beads from assorted mixes I’d be willing to sacrifice . Probably have better success sticking with heavier beads for best drag and less sliding on the surface. Can’t wait to experiment. No trip to the hardware store needed. Smaller beads =finer spacing. Larger beads =wider spaces. Tube beads might be cool...or ugly lol. Could even vary the space between beads by glueing the beads in place along the string. ie 3 close, a little gap, 3 close, a little gap, etc... Custom chains. This is a beautiful project. I’m going to try this on a rectangular glass vase. Will make nice gifts if I can get the hang of it. Thanks for sharing your talents and teaching such fun techniques. I enjoy your videos.
I enjoyed watching your video. Amazing work with chains! Beautiful results. Interesting how the yellow turned to a vivid neon green, looks good with the purple against the black.
Oh this so cool! I try to show my 3 year old grandson art techniques and this one is SO doable! I can't wait to do this one with him to make a Valentine's gift for his mommy. Thank you so much for the wonderful inspiration!
This is amazing! I had seen string pulling once or twice, but never a chain, it is wonderful! I am going to have to get some chains at Dollar Tree and try this. Thank you! I make cards to send to shut-ins, people that need an 'I love you'...I will be incorporating this and perhaps teaching it to youngsters at retreats too. Blessings!
Never seen this loading of the chain ... all other RUclipsr’s dip the chain /string in one color.... love love 💕 it. I just got some canvas ... going to give it a go ... thank you !!!
Hello Ms Carole ~ I am fairly new to the art of acrylic pouring, I've learned a lot from the facebook group as well as watching hours of youtube video's and I must say yours are by far the best I have seen. I watched this video like 3 times and said I can probably do that so I searched for chains in my costume jewelry box and followed along to your video, the first pull I thought turned out nice after that it looks like a martian puked on my canvas....lol.... I stole the ruby red slippers off the witches feet and closed my eyes clicked my heels 3 times and repeated I want to make beautiful art like Ms Carole. I'm going to have to make a trip to Goodwill, I only has one chain that has larger links like yours the rest were very thin and tiny. I'm a disabled adult and my Dr thought that painting and coloring and crafts would be a good way to relieve some anxiety and stress so here I am about 6 weeks in and approximately $1,000.00 in paints and supplies. I was hooked with my first pouer and receive many compliments on the pours I've produced, I think I have the dirty pours, flip cup, split flip cup pours down and am excited to create the beautiful art that you do. I don't want to give up but as many times as I viewed this video plus following along (I put a TV and a roku player in my art room, really can't make out the buttons on the roku anymore for all the paint on it). Please tell me it gets easier? I just love this piece and the rainbow string pull the bottle bottom everything you create is just wonderful thank you for sharing your talent. Trish
I am so impressed with your beautiful work. My granddaughter is 6 years old and love to paint, I will be doing this technique with her. Thank you for sharing your talent.
